I have had my Wells Fargo credit card for over 18 years. It's my longest standing card and the foundation of my credit age. I have been a checking account holder for equally as long. I have not had a credit limit increase in over 10 years. It's my lowest limit card by $12,000-$20,000. There are no issues with my credit and I have never missed or been late on a payment. Insisting on a hard pull of my credit for a potential increase is absurd. This is not how you treat your long-standing customers that stuck with you after all the "incidents" over the years. I won't be canceling my card, but I certainly won't be using it. And it's finally time to move my checking account to a local bank.
Recommendation: If you pay your bills on time, Citi hands out increases regularly, sometimes without you even asking. No need to bother with a WF card.
