Walmart review: hp 61 printer cartridge, packaged wrong with different cartridge inside package

My wife purchased a HP printer cartridge HP61 on the box on 4/7/2019. When she got home, I opened the package (the box) and opened one of the aluminum wrappers and noticed the cartridge was hp57. It appeared to be packaged wrong. My wife went back to the store to swap it out and they would not. It was a two pack (color and b/w). The other cartridge was unopened. The cartridges cost 44.89 ( I think skew # [protected]) on my receipt REF# [protected] / TC# [protected] 5.
The store said they could not exchange or refund because I had opened one of the aluminum packaging. To me this is totally inexcusable, due to the fact, you assume the cartridge is what is in the original packaged box. I had not even removed the plastic tape covering over the contacts of the cartridge. This was approx. $50.00 and through no fault of mine are not correct. That amount is too large to expect nothing and give up what I needed out of that purchase.
