Village Inn Restaurants review: waitress service and food

We visited on 3/23/2019. We were seated at a table right by the kitchen. We didnt complain since the better seating areas were taken. My boyfriend asked the waitress for coffee and I ordered water. Another waiter passed by and saw the frustration on our faces and asked if we needed anything, so we told him our waitress forgot our drinks. He went to get it for us but by then sh was already returning with our drinks. My boyfriend then asked for more sugar. That never came, even though we saw her attend to other tables while we waited. He ended up grabbing sugar from another table, after the other couple left. When the food finally came out my eggs and sausage were cold. I decided to eat some with complaining since we had already waited forever and I was hungry. We frequent Village Inn for breakfast. This the 2nd time the service was awful (different location, the other was on Stapley in Mesa, Arizona). Thank you for listening. It's not much to ask for good service and warm food but this time around neither was good.
