Since 1986, I've had wireless service with LA Cellular, GTE, PacBell and then Verizon. Very satisfied, loyal customer, spending thousands on cellular, phones and internet services over that time.
For a while now, they've declined in customer service and care, devolving into their own version of Xfinity, which previously has the worst service, IMHO. They didn't credit a returned modem (I cancelled their spotty, slow Wifi and got Starlink), I've spoken with them several times. They had also, without my knowledge, changed my Wifi from unlimited to a metered plan. So, I cancelled. Now they keep billing me for the item, I've given them the return tracking number more than once and they said they'll take care of it. They didn't, kept billing me for it. Today, they disconnected my service for non-payment. Called again, spoke with Financial Services and got it reconnected, now talking to someone who guarantees it will be resolved. We'll see.
Any confidence and trust I had with them has been burned. Some genius decided to cut costs, save time and we're the test dummies to see if that works. I'll consider shorting their stock, this won't end well. I'll be looking for another company now. When customers are only a commodity, they'll walk away.
Recommendation: Good luck finding anything resembling the way it used to be.
