I signed up for the Triple Play over 10 weeks after being told by the Verizon sales rep that I would receive a $200 gift card if I signed on. I just called Verizon’s customer service today after 10 weeks of waiting for my gift card and was told after 30 minutes on hold, “Sorry the rep told you wrong, you do not qualify”. They offered to give me a $5 monthly credit, totaling $120 over two years. Verizon is a deceitful company that knowingly tells prospective customers anything necessary to get them to sign on, knowing very well that they will be sent a stray through their practice of passing the buck till one eventually gives up. All those that have been a victim of being promised a gift card should band together and bring a suite against this deceitful company, until they will discontinue this practice.

I've been waiting on this since December, 2022. I've been told something different every time. I wanted to use it to pay off my bill, but they won't allow me to redeem it until I have $50 or less past due. I'm in the middle of losing $650 of food due to power outage and I won't be able to get it because I can't pay it off... This is a huge scam.

I have waited over 6 months for my $300 in gifts cards; I e called four times and always receiving the same response- we’re back logged, you have to wait 60 to 90 days! It only took a day after I ordered Verizon service to have them at my house installing the cable. Also, these gift cards are only eligible to be used to pay your Verizon Bill - but you have to go to a website and process information to use the gift cards. It should just be setup as a credit to your account, but Verizon is hoping that it’s customers will forget about these gift cards and not have to honor their promise to it’s new customers. How many new customers can say they received their promised gift cards without a hassle from Verizon.

Why is there not a class action law suit against Verizon? This is dishonest and unlawful.

THIS IS FRAUD

Class Action Lawsuit is not an option with VErizon. Under Terms of Service you have to choose Mediation or Arbitration. Print out their "Verizon Notice of Customer Dispute" and complete the form and send into address on form. Keep a copy. you are required to notify them 60 days in advance of filing Arbitration with American Arbitration Association. After the 60 day mark, file your complaint with AAA. Send an email to customer service first outlining your intent to do either Medication or Arbitration. See if that shakes loose the Gift Card.

The Rewards section that reflects "games" and your "gift Card" likely the links for the "games" work, but the link for the "gift card" sends you to different error messages or no account found. This is a design to stall off your entitled redemption. Don't waste time using "chat", calling or sending an email as they will stall out your 30-60 day time period to claim the reward despite you having the emails, etc from them.

Hit them directly with intent to Mediate or File Arbitration with AAA. Good Luck.

I also have been waiting for a gift card for switching to Fios sine June. I received an email in July stating that I would get the card by email in 7-10 days. Nothing. The tracking link in the email does not work. I called customer service in August and was told it takes 4-6 weeks to get the card so I should check back. I checked again this morning Spent one hour with 4 different Verizon reps. First one said there was no record; transferred me. On hold. Second rep said she needed to transfer me to sales/promos or something. Told ne it was sent to me in July. I said I never got it and she could tell it was never activated. She said she couldn't. Transferred again. This time I was told that Verizon is very behind sending out the gift cards. Still working on the June ones so, since mine was due in July, I will have to wait in line for all the June people to get their cards. Said I should check back in 4-6 weeks. Curiously, there is no longer any record of the promo on my account page and the link to track it does not work. Terrible.

I think it is a scam and Verizon is hoping people just won't remember that they were promised a gift card for switching. How many people check to confirm they have gotten their gifts? How many people know how to press for what they are due? It is really sad that Verizon has engaged in such tactics. I am thinking that next step is reporting to the BBB and the AG's office. Maybe a class action suit is in order.

Yeesh.

I have been waiting for8 months for $250 in gift cards. I have contacted them over ten times and they just keep telling me to wait another 3 to 4 weeks. This has happened 8 times now. I speak with these people and they refuse to provide a supervisor phone of email. The last one thells me that they get these calls every day all day. Is there going to be a class action for this. I hope so because a big company like this screwing people out of promised goods just is not right. Sham on you Verizon Fios

I signed up for Verizon's triple pack with Auto Pay in Nov. 2018. They made me sign up for a two year contract with an offer of $100 Visa card upon sign up. I was told I will receive $100 visa card within 6 to 8 weeks. It has been over 4 months and I haven't received the gift card. Every three weeks I call the Verizon Reward Department and they tell me wait for another 3 weeks. I am afraid I will never get this gift card, Verizon simply lured me into signing for a two year contract with a scam of $100 gift card. They are thieves and I need to report this company to Consumer Protection Agency as well Federal Communication Commission.

I ported four phones to verizon wireless at a verizon store. Verizon had a 150 dollar gift card promotion per line when you byop. I spent two hours at the store getting my phones ported. The rep told me he had taken care of the four gift card applications for me and that is why it took so long. I waited 8 weeks and then called verizon to see where my gift cards were, and was told that I never applied for them. I have been told too bad by every level of customer support I can get from verizon, and after multiple chats and phone calls I think I was scammed and will not be getting the gift cards as promoted. I guess my only recourse is to leave Verizon.
