Our complaint is regarding the treatment we received, after coming into the store for assistance. We spoke to a Mr. Zaire Butler who at first was very helpful until we disagreeded with him regarding the fee he was trying to charge us for resetting my wife's phone. Mr. Butler informed us that it would be a $80 charge to transfer information from the old phone to the new phone, even after we explained to him this was not a new phone and that the old phone mal functioned and when we brought it back to this location was told they had to reorder and replace the phone due to a malfunction and it was under warranty. We were not upgrading the phone and that it was a manufactory issue. Mr. Butler still insisted we had to pay for the transfer of information even after we read to him the policy. Mr. Butler then with a very disrespectful attitude told us we could go to another store because he was refusing us service. My wife and I felt this was a form of discrimination by Mr. Butler as he could not explain why he was refusing us service. The store was 4300 Portsmouth Blvd Ste 196 Chesapeake, VA 23321. My wife and I went to the store in Suffolk Virginia on Harbor View Blvd and they transferred the information and stated there was no charge because of the warranty. I also believe that Mr. Zaire Butler was trying to extort this payment by refusing to give us service unless we paid, although it was supposed to be no charge.
Claimed loss: Loss Time
Desired outcome: To receive an apology from store clerk and compensated for our time. Mabe we can get a month free from payment. This would be satisfying due to the treatment we recieved and the fact we had to go out of our way to another store.
