I feel completely deceived by eDreams. While booking a flight, I was unknowingly enrolled in their "Prime" membership program. No clear consent, no obvious checkbox — just a sneaky trick buried in the fine print. I only discovered it after seeing a €90 charge on my credit card. Not once — but twice.
This kind of practice is not acceptable. It preys on customers' trust and takes advantage of a rushed booking experience. Canceling the membership was needlessly difficult, and the customer service response was slow and unhelpful. I never used the Prime benefits, nor did I intend to sign up in the first place.
Shame on eDreams for using manipulative tactics to charge loyal users. I strongly urge anyone considering this site to think twice. If you’ve been charged like I have, dispute it with your credit card company and warn others. This is not how ethical businesses operate.
Recommendation: Never use eDreams services - Their business model is a scam
The same happened to me yesterday.
After booking a flight 3 weeks ago, I was charged 99.99€ for a yearly subscription yesterday. I did not even create an account when i booked my flight instead, i booked it as a guest. They got my email and credit card and then charged it without even an email saying what the charge was for.
Same happened with me - two times and two consecutive years. First time - unknowingly and second time - even after disabling auto renewal three months in advance, still they deducted money from CC. Pathetic customer service and pathetic people!
I lost 99 euro when i helped a friend get a ticket 04.09.2025 via eDreams Booking ID [protected] . I bought the ticket for him with my visa card. He pushed me to get a cheap ticket and i was in a rush. Then eDreams charged my visa card 99 Euro's after 14 days 18-09-2025. I discovered it checking my account that day. Immediately i got my card renewed and filed a formal complaint to my bank. currently try to revoke it through my bank. I also try to get our of membership whatever membership is supposed to mean in the first place. That is difficult to even cancel the subscription. I think you will be happy to have this info b4 you also loose 99 Euro isnt it.
The exact same thing also happened to me, I immediately called my bank (HSBC) when the I got the text noticing 99.99 euro were spent on the Prime account annual subscription. They advised me to cancel my card, and I think it makes sense because they can no longer charge me in the future, there is no way to find the cancel subscription button neither on the website nor the app anyway! And I got my money back in 3 days! Thankfully my bank is reliable!
I also was charged €99 Euro without consent. eDreams makes it impossible to cancel the subscription. After waiting endlessly on the (you have to call them) I have filed a complaint with the EU Consumer Protection. Avoid like the plague. I have also advised me bank to refuse payment requests from eDream. This is a subscription trap. Avoid like the plague.
