Sorry for spelling out pounds as the one on my key board is knackered. Yours Gratefully. William Carter
fraud
Usenet.nl has stolen 100 euros from me on 4 different occasions. I recovered my money through paypal... however, I also contacted them at their hotline so that I could get the money from them first. As I never used usenet.nl at all, just downloaded it, then cancelled my account this is considered theft, I did not get anything for the money taken. They would not cooperate even after my multiple threats of calling the police, and me telling them that their operation is fraudulent, theft, HIGHLY IMMORAL etc. They would only say that I am obliged to their contract. Contracts like that are unreasonable and downright ludicrous.
(RANT) All people that operate usenet.nl should be ARRESTED, have 10X the total amount they stole taken from them, then tossed into a LABOUR CAMP until I saw fit. Any scoundrel who thinks (s)he can steal legally deserves to be stolen from way worse.

This [censored] company causes several problems:
1. Makes it impossible to reach anyone to cancel your trial.
2. Neither do they answer emails.
3. What you can do is use PayPal, which allows you to cancel recurring subscriptions on your end.
But what they do, in retaliation, is report your associated card as 'fraud', causing PayPal to lock
you, and tell you to upload ID and credit card statement to restore, and at the same time,
causes your bank to cancel and issue you a new card, which causes you to go update all your
other recurring payments at your good merchants on that card.
4. It wasn't that much trouble for me, but be sure that I will get the word out,
you desperate pieces of [censored]. I hope you go the way of myspace.
I know most people reading this are already fraud victims, like myself but if you happen to see this before subscribing to Usenet.nl STAY FAR AWAY. This experience will give you so much stress.
I took out an £8 a month subscription. 6 months later they suddenly changed it to £24 a month without warning. They are a complete scam. I've got the credit card company to deny future payment, but it looks like the first payment is lost.
They appear to have pirated copies of titles on their site too - another reason to avoid. Copyright holders (publishers/authors) are told to sign up if they want these pirated (stolen) titles removed. And, obviously, signing up is a bad idea as previous comments show. Another very good reason to avoid then.
Attempted to use their service, thinking they were legit. Gave them debit card # with CV# and card expiration date. Usenet.nl tried to compromise me, by trying to take all of the money that was in my account. My bank cancelled my card and reissued me with a new #. This company is a fraud, DO NOT USE THEM EVER!
They are a SCAM and WILL take your money all $100 of it. DON'T USE THEM!
I didn't even download any app. I "signed up" for the free 14 day trial, but thankfully my card wouldn't work for it so I have up. They emailed me saying my payment didn't go through typically meaning that I was not signed up. They kept emailing saying that I need to give credit card information while also continuously renewing my "membership" and charging me for it. What free "trial" is automatically turned into a membership without them EVER receiving payment? How can you try to charge me later on for a membership that I didn't even complete the sign up for? I'm not paying 160$ for something I never used. I never even used the free trial.
I joined usenet for a free trail of 14 days on 22nd Jan 2017. They charged a dollar for the free trail which I declined. When I used it couple of times my computer was hacked by virus and I had to reach Norton to clear it. I was not very happy with the services and wanted to cancel the account. I did so before the end of the trail period. I completed the online form and the end they asked me to call a Europe number. Which I didn't as it was something I have never heard a company would do. In the mean time the company locked the account on Feb 6th saying I didn't pay. After a month I got a mail to pay 12EUR for the month service. Which I ignored as they locked my account. Then I received a physical mail asking to pay the due. I reached the customer service and explained the situation. They transferred the case to a collection agent and they keep sending emails and physical mails. They are now demanding me to pay 55EUR. I wanted to end this drama and agreed to pay 12EUR. They wouldn't agree to that and also now telling me that the account is not cancelled and there are recurring charges, which I have to deal separately with Usenet. This is adding a lot of pressure on me personally and going on for months. I am not sure what they can do legally and how to handle this.
Responding to an email message on 02.12.17, I agreed to pay $9.99 (US) to usenet.nl via Paypal for onetime access to a journal article. I followed the instructions for downloading the necessary software, but it didn't work; I was unable to access the article. I filed a refund claim with Paypal. Usenet had submitted a charge of $99.00 rather than the 9.99 USD that I had authorized. Paypal adjudicated the claim in my favor and any disbursed funds were credited to my account. Usenet has persisted in sending me invoices and dunning letters in spite of PayPal's resolution of the case. In their latest email (04.25.17) they say that (after adding interest, dunning costs, business fees, post, and telecommunications fees) I owe $164 EUR. I plan to respond by email and letter to their correspondence one last time. I won't be paying for a service I never received in an amount that I did not authorize. I'm considering reporting this matter to the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) at https://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx
Hello! Usenet.nl has pulled a scam on me. First I joined for a trial period and gave my Paypal data. The very next day I got a message: Hello! welcome to usenet.nl! Unfortunately, you cannot use your trial access at the moment, since the authentication of your PayPal account was not successful. Please check your PayPaldata again. Then, you will be free to enjoy your Usenet service without restrictions! " And my Paypal account did not show any sign of this transaction. I have downloaded the app but never used the service. And I thought I did not need to cancel since my payment data never went through. Now they have warned me that a had two accounts and only the second one might not go through. The first one would be billed. I have requested Paypal not to bill me at all. let us see how they handle this.
I had two accounts as well, but not in the same way. Keep that email they sent you, and no .atter what happens, just ignore them. They wiil threaten to take you to court, but nothing will come of it.
cheating trial account
two weeks ago Feb 12, 2012 I started the usenet trial version. Without any notification to ask if I am happy with the trial one, Feb 27 12, 2012 yesterday, it automatically withdraw the yearly 100 euro from my paypal account. When calling Service desk, they were very rude saying this is the rules and terms, cannot be reversibile. I feel really frustrated and cheated. I never saw such rules and terms, unless saying authorizing them to do so, they chose to jump to 100 euro (yealy) rather than 10 euro (monthly) for the own best benefits without any agreement with me. I can hardly image this is legal in this current society ...

they are frauds, I signed up for free trial and cancelled right after that. But when I checked my credit account, I was charged for 4$ for nothing. I did not download anything. I feel totally pissed off by this company.
i am current trying to cancel my trial period. i have sent form after form and no response. what can i do. can i just cancel my card or stop payment somehow?
I have had the same thing happen to me now - I communicated during my 14 day trial stating that the item I wanted to download (which was advertised) isn't actually available so I wish to cancel. They took a couple of days to reply saying I need to go onto their site and cancel. I looked on the site and couldn't see an 'unsubscribe' or anything so I filled out a customer query form again from their site. Days later I got another reply stating that they are sorry for the delay my request is being handled etc. Then they deducted ±100 Euros off my card! So I went back onto their site and found that I had to phone either the US or the UK to cancel - assuming they would charge me pro-rata for the month. I got a rude woman from what sounded to be China, she had all my correspondence on record but wouldn't discuss it, she said the T&C's show that after 14 days you pay! Wouldn't discuss it, obviously been trained at handling complaints and angry people. I want to dispute it with my credit card company but can't because Usenet.nl don't communicate via email, you have to complete customer query form so I have no proof to send to my credit card company that I informed Usenet from the outset that I didn't want to continue with their service. It's an obvious fraudulent scam and they should be stopped from operating!
35 th days ago i wap paid 143 euros and already now my account is inactive. They are (usenet.nl) is exactly thief ! I want to complain usenet the international court. Plase help me.

fraud/scam
i signed up for a trial but when the bill came I noted I was billed 95.40 USD for 1 year's sub. I asked them to cancel my account which they said they did, even sent me a confirmation letter. I did not see any refund so I asked Pay pal to help resolve this. They gave me a song and dance routine and told me they could not (basically). So I closed my account with paypal too.

usenet. nl is a big thief
Usenet.nl is a real thief. I have dealed with paypal several times and I was informed that I could get my refund back yesterday. However, I wonder that Paypal still do business with usenet.nl since it is obvious that usenet.nl is a real thief when so many people who try the free trial service from isemet.nl have become viticms. Although I did get the refund back from paypal finally, I think that Paypal should stop proceeding any transactions regarding usenet.nl who do business without ethics and I should inform people not fall into a trap set by usenet.nl.

be careful
I joined the 14 days free trial and I didn't use that site since then. They just took more than 140 dollars from my pocket because they have my account information via asking a pound for verification. There was no email or reminder sent before that. I contacted with customer service as soon as I found this but they jut refused to refund the money. I hate these kind of scams.
The people who have posted on here all complain that Usenet conned them AFTER they had downloaded a free trial. I have downloaded NOTHING! I'm an ICT tech and if I want software I buy it or get beta version from the manufacturer, depending on the software. Yesterday, I got an invoice via Royal Mail and hadn't a clue what it was about until I looked on here!

usenet - commiting fraud on a daily basis and they think its ok..
I signed up for the 14 day free trial in order to get access to specific files they claimed to have.
Upon signing up and subsequently searching for these files I found they did not exist.
The software you have to download was unstable and my computer would not work correctly after installing it.
I fully intended to cancel this useless service but unfortunately bereavement in my family took me away from home for a few days and I was distracted.
When I returned home I found there was a fault with my broadband service and I was unable to get online, when I did eventually get access to my emails I found that a receipt had been issued 2 hours before for a PayPal payment of €99.00.
It was interesting to note that they sent me an email notifying me that they were going to charge me after they already had. I immediately called them and the person I spoke to seemed to find it amusing that I was demanding my money back and I got the distinct impression that they get these types of calls on a regular basis.
They said they would send my request to the ‘supervisor’ and he would decide if I could get a refund. I now know he just wanted to get me off the line because within 30 minutes I received a refusal email which totally ignored everything I had said.
As far as I am concerned that transaction could have easily been reversed, but no... they are it seems quite happy to steal money (because that’s basically what this is THEFT), by charging me for something I do not want. (If I buy something online and I am not happy with it I get a refund, which is good business). Unfortunately, Usenet.nl does not understand this concept.
I had no intention of taking on a contract with Usenet because I am not happy with the service, most of the files are broken and the service did not live up to the false claims made.
The Usenet range is very weak and there are not enough books available. They advertise downloads that they don’t actually have, and I really don’t understand how a fraudulent setup like this is being allowed to continue ripping off unsuspecting people.
All ethical Businesses with nothing to hide have a:
• Commercial email address to enable ease of contact
• Pleasant/ helpful customer service representatives
• Refund policy if customer is not happy with provision
• Deliver on promises detailed on their websites and sales material
• Manager/supervisor you can speak to address problems effectively, efficiently and legally
The so called contract is another area where they by UK law are acting illegally.
When you sign up for a free trail that is exactly what it is ‘a trial’ not a contract. However, I was told yesterday that the contract started the day I signed up; how a free trial can be a contract at the same time.
Stay away from usenet.nl their service is total crap they have no ethics and think nothing of taking money from your account, even if you can’t afford it. They took money which I had to pay for my children’s school travel expenses and I am not happy that they have stolen from my kids.
They automatically charge you for the most expensive of their rubbish plans and you do not get any options. It would have been nice to have asked and have confirmed with you exactly what plan you want to be on instead of going for the most lucrative for themselves with total disregard for the unsuspecting customer.
This complaint is to warn others do not even bother to sign up for the free trial because their service is not even worth the small fee they charge when starting to reel you in.
One last thing I have engaged the help of PayPal, my bank, and my solicitor who are all working on my behalf to get my money back and expose at the same time. However, just to highlight how devious usenet.nl are PayPal told me that their registration with them is classed as a goods and not services but whenever someone makes a claim ( I was told there are hundreds of claims for refunds on a daily basis) UseNet claim 'intangible goods' (service) as an excuse for not refunding innocent customers upon request. . .PayPal are aware and are investigating Usenet’s account as we speak.
My contract is cancelled and I have removed their Malware from my computer.
I do not intend to let this matter drop and I am in the process of setting up a forum dedicated to all those who have been scammed by this company? and I use the term company very lightly because if they were in the UK they would have been prosecuted a long time ago.. They must be so proud...
My comments are directed at you alone, dont bring anyone else into it. You took the time to post your comment, you should be prepared to get back what you give ... total dingle.. get a life saddo.
Freeman007
Thank you for taking the time to post your useless (missing the point) comment on this complaints board.
£90 is a drop in the ocean compared to your foolish investment of £880 for something you were suspicious about in the first place, and by the way PayPal agree with the thousands of people who have complained about Uesnet.nl and their unethical business practices and also feel that customers who are not happy with the service should get a refund. I have got my money back and I am happy with the outcome... did you get your money back? You wish...

Usenet is still doing the same thing, I signed for a Trial I tested and in less than 5 minutes I cancel the free trial. It sent me to a very confusing page, I confirmed that I did not want to continue the trial. This was Sept 11, on Sept 26 they sent me an invoice and they bill $99 to PayPal, I went to PayPal and cancel the subscription, the only thing I could do was to inactive the automatic annual payment. I made the claim to PayPal and they told me that I will have to wait until October 7. I went back to Usenet and they came back and said they was not going to refund me. I tried to login the site con cancel the subscription. The password was not accepted, I reset the password and tried again. They are a Fraud company, people have spread the news . People are being robe
I can't believe I'm here almost a decade later -_-'
Goodmorning everyone! I had the same experience of you, I joined the trial period, I considered it not interesting for me and I immediately canceled.
I received an email from them with the cancellation ok.
After months I get a message that I would have to pay the annual subscription anyway.
I replied by saying that I had canceled, but they say I still have to pay anyway.
Since Usenet.nl is based in San Marino, I then contacted the CSdL - Confederazione Sammarinese del Lavoro (http://www.csdl.sm/sportello-consumatori/ - Tel. (+[protected] Fax (+[protected]) who put me in touch with their lawyer, to whom I explained everything and gave him the evidence.
The lawyer filed a complaint in my name against Usenet.nl, intending to suspend any payment request against me.
After a few days I received an email from Usenet.nl telling me the final closure of the contract.
Since then I have not received any payment requests.
I advise you to do as I do, the more you will be and the Usenet will stop using these methods.
Greetings to all
Chicco, you did a great job!
An expensive way to learn about some [censor].
Same thing: free trual cancellation didn’t work. Was charged this morning with no chances of getting money back.
Here is an interesting fact. After trying many times to find a way to cancel and failing. I knew they were going to charge my card for another year so I canceled the credit card connected to usenet.nl. Months later when they attempted to charge my credit card and it was denied they sent me an email asking me to renew my credit card info on Paypal. I responded by saying I did not want to renew and to please cancel my account. Here's the rub. When the credit card charge we denied they created an internal bill and billed me in spite of the above. Now they are saying I owe them for a whole new year in spite of the fact they know I did wish to renew and wanted to cancel. Now their collection department is attempting to extort money from me. They are adding interest and late fees to the bill they internally created. They say my cancellation will not take effect until the end of this billing cycle which is one year from now. What happened to cancel anytime and prorating after the cancellation? They do not even cancel when asked to do so. These people are crooks using a TOS to fleece people. Someone stop them!
This is my story that documents that I might have become a victim of a fraud by them by being charged through my PayPal account with $99.
usenet:
'your subscription was completed on 19.12.2016'
me:
This is a false statement.
I had registered for a free trial period (19./20.12.2016 - 02.01.2017) on 19.12.2016 for which the payment information had to be provided for a subsequent and payable 12-months-subscription, if the contract was not cancelled within the trial period.
After completing the registration I was informed that I was not entitled for the free trial period with the claim that I had previously already registered for a trial period.
As the trial period was denied, the contract that included a subsequent payable service did not materialise.
Because of this you send me an alternative promotional offer on 22.12.2016 PROMOCODE: C4E42C2F3G to 'save 50% on 12 months of Usenet access.
You repeated a smilier promotional offer PROMOCODE: CEF39CDE3G to 'save 50% on 12 months of Usenet access.
Both the alternative promotional offers clearly indicate your acknowledgement that a contract out of the registration for a free trial period has not materialised.
I had decided not to use the Internet services of usenet.nl and therefore never logged into the account that had been created on 19.12.2016 or react to the alternative promotional offer on 22. 12. 2016 and 25.12.2016 to establish a contract for a subscription.
usenet:
'You have a legally binding contract and it is at this stage no longer possible to withdraw from this contract. '
me:
Unfortunately this is a false statement and does not meet legal scrutinity.
I appeal to honour the true facts and circumstances and apply and avoid the present suspicion that I might have become victim of a fraud or an attempted of fraud.
It's difficult to call it fraud since they just signed you up for a regular contract with the assumption that you still wanted service. It's hard to to say whether these people are fraud or incredibly incompitent. I don't know how they do things in Europe, but it obviously differs. I have crossed paths with these people and it has been a dreadful experience. I hope I never have to again once my account closes. This is a lesson to never sign up for things like this I guess. A hard lesson. Did they take your money?
That is the point! (Thank's for your comment!)
On the day the assumed but denied free trial period was over, they charged my account with $99 through PayPal. I objected the same day towards usenet as well as towards PayPal immediately through email as well as by phone.
Usenet just insists that a contract has been concluded.
Normally I would have recalled the money after they refuse to refund the money.
The involvement of PayPal unfortunately complicates the matter.
I'm sorry you're going through this. You can try to get your money back with paypal, but usenet will send you to collections if you do, but you can ignore it given that no one has been taking to court.
Clearly not the most ethical or trustworthy company. But probably within the law due to the way they operate. what interests me is that a company called Teschinkasso is used to collect their debts ( which they incur doing to misleading innocent students who can't afford to pay).
This company is ultimately owned by Pemira Funds a supposedly respectable investment company. Do they care about the ethics of their client and they are complicit in unfairly taking money from innocent students?
I signed up for the two week trial of Usenet . After a few days I decided that this was not what I agreed to and contacted them right away . Took me two days but I was able to get through to a live person, This person was very confused but told me that am I sure I want to cancel this that I'm still in my trial period. I told them again to cancel and was told it would be . I contacted my Credit card company and place a stop on any payment that this company would submit just in case . Sure enough they did just that . Its been three months and have received numerous emails and letters demanding payment . I informed them what happened and was informed that the customer service person never cancelled it and because I never received a cancellation email that I am responsible for the 99 Euros . I am not sending them a dime. Obviously a scam but one I am not paying for
jmar0608 I am also in the same situation, I desperately tried to cancel the contract but I just could get a hold of them so I decided to cancel the payment via paypal . Now I just got a letter from them requesting for payment. did they continue to bother you or take any legal action?
They will continue to bother yoi, but they will never take legal action. You can try to loom it up. No court case has ever been reported. They will not chase an international debt for anything lass than $15, 000. The costs of the court and the lawyers far outweighs a $100 debt. Personally, I paid because I have severe anxiety, and didn't want to take the chance, but I knew and a lawyer told me the same thing, that they won't come after you for a debt that's so small.
I am in the same boat as you, as of today. Your comment was the most recent. I was wondering, what happened? Did they actually send you to collections? Or are they still bothering you? Did u take legal action?
so I fell for this scam also, I"m trying to get the cancellation via the support form, but being the control freak I am I also called their GB hotline. What do you know, the person on the other end did not have the slightest idea what I was talking about and when I told him got the number from the website that listed it as their hotline he was very surprised and thanked me as they had received a number of strange calls recently and now he probably knows why. I checked the number I dialed three times and I did dial it correctly. So the only chance I have to cancel this crap is the support form. Fingers crossed!
This company is ridiculous. They scam the crap out of you because I cancelled my trial within two days and good God i should have screenshotted the confirmation on the screen because then I got no email about it. A few weeks later it charged me $99 that I need back ASAP. I then got charged $38 by my back for insufficient funds. I feel like choking the crap out of the people that work for this company. I told her I'd like to speak to a manager and she said she will forward the email to someone in the office but I doubt the little ### actually did that because 10 minutes later I got a generic email about how they don't issue refunds.
steer clear
I used the Usenet.nl free trial which allowed you to cancel the membership within 14 days without any further charge. However, when I attempted to use the cancellation link it did not work. So i tried to phone the company, but, guess what, their number didn't work. So what could I do - the website states that their is a support form to fill in, but there is not.
So the only thing I could do to cancel was to reply to an email they sent and to keep a copy. But they charged me anyway. Only when I raised a complaint through pay pal did I get an email stating I had replied to a noreply address (actually it had said a different address was the noreply in the email they sent me).
I have proof that I have been defrauded and yet pay pal will still not do anything against the company because the services are virtual - so even pay pal are profiting from this provable fraud against me.
I have sent the company a letter threatening legal action, and they are currently being investigated by UK trading standards. i'm not sure how much good it will do though, because they are based in San marino.
My advice to anyone is STEER WELL CLEAR OF USENET.NL - the internet is absolutely crawling with reports of this type about how they scam people.
I was actually using them legitimately and before my my monthly time was up I decided to cancel. I tried to cancel online but it did not work and I could not call them because they were either always closed or the phone rang forever. Because I had some time left before I was charged for another month I went into Paypal and cancelled my billing with Usenet.nl. Well I did not realize they do not recognize 1. you cancelled billing with paypal, and 2. you stopped using thier service. So they still billed me even though I had cancelled my billing with them through Paypal. I still have gigs with them and they have the nerve to charge me and now send me to collections. I refuse to pay for service time I NEVER used. How far can they take this collection? I would not recommend them to anyone in a million years. They do not care about customers and only care about money. I'm not sure what to do... I will not pay them though I know that.
Scott
Ignore them. They will never take you to court.
Same thing happen to me and now they are asking third party to collect the bill . I am scared I will have a bad rating :(
I comtact them through contact form to cancel my trial on the same day as I started coz I couldn't find the book they advertised but no reply :( they finally admit the issue and cancel my account on 16 June. so I Thought all good now, till I received email from third party to collect the fee from me . Do I actually need to pay first so they won't contact me again ? :( Please advise.
You can pay if you want, but you don't have to pay. A lot of people have not paid. No credit rating has ever been affected and no one has ever been taken to court.
My banking information was stolen and used for this company (as well as many others). I never signed up for their service and started receiving letters from the Tesch Inkasso company stating they were going to take action against me. My stolen card was linked to this account and cancelled at the bank prior to the first billing date listed on the invoice, so they luckily weren't able to collect any money. But now they are threatening legal action. Has anyone actually had a claim against them, or do they just threaten and harass? How far will they go with this? And how can I fight them?
i was finding a file. i saw that i was advertised by usenet nl
so i entried in there and i signed for a month for 8.33$
but.. actually the file was not in there.
this is the first reason it is scam site
i knew that its fee was 8.33$ .
two weeks later .. i recieved a message saying that 99$ was paid
it definitly announced that "i sign for a month for 8.33$"
after googling, i realized that in contract next aoubt 10pages
it is paid for a year.
this is exactly scam because it does trickery
and they never refund .. my e-mail was ignored

I'm in the same situation with these people now. I don't believe any action has ever been taken against people other than threatening emails and letters. I'm very jubvious over the legallity of their claims and neither usenext or tesch inkasso have replied to any email I have sent. Does anyone have any updates as to what happened? Do these people just eventually give up?
I am also facing the same issue. They started sending me reminders from Nov 2015 and now via the collector TeschInkasso. I had only used their trial services way back during 2015 early start and had then cancelled the paypal agreement. Have never used it after the trial period.
This is real fraud. Going to take legal action.
They are sending bills to me every month, and each month it goes higher. I DO NOT USE THE DAM SERVICE AND WILL NOT PAY IT. They didn't even have my e-mail address till I e-mailed them telling them that I did NOT order this service... OBVIOUSLY or they would of taken their money out of my bank account. They didn't even have my e_mail till I wrote them asking why I was getting bills from them. These Germans must be dam well stupid. If I had ordered it, I would have had to have a credit card, CORRECT? And an e_mail, CORRECT? They are trying to rip off anyone that they can! Total nonsense. Michael
P/S I notice there is no physical mailing address anywhere that I can find.
I did everything to cancel usenet and now they sent me 2 statement letters. I will not call and waste time and money. So I will go on every international site that will listen to my concern and will go on youtube to discredit this issue. I'm tired of people trying to scam other people.

Usenet.nl has stolen 143 euros from me "a legal fraud". Even though I paid my money in April 15 They did not yet reactivate my account. 17 days ago i paid 143 euros and already i have not. This is usenet.nl. So, Be carefull and be avoid.
I too have been in long arguments with them (about a year). In my case, I had a subscription which automatically came out after UseNext changed their email policy so that instead of giving me fair notice that they were about to renew they just did so and with no refund there was nothing I could do. I thought I had just missed the emails but it was only when going through my email history I noticed the silent change in policy. I now regard those two payments as having been taken fraudulently and want them back.
The first I knew about the third one was when my card had been changed by my bank and the payment refused. Instead of mailing me they sent a letter telling me that I owed a years payment in advance plus an administration charge. This I refuse to pay hence dealing with the incredibly rude and incompetent organisation Teschinkasso who have ignored all my requests for this to be taken to the small claims court or provide evidence of the exact terms I signed. I am now in the process of reporting them for harassment as there seems no other way of closing this situation.
Same here, I cancelled my UseNext account, after 3 years, I'm now receiving threatening emails and letters from TESCHINKASSO, telling me, I'll be sorry there will be trouble, legal action, further costs, damage to my credit rating. I've lost count of how many I've had, they don't give up. Please be warned keep as far away from UseNext.nl as possible, you cannot leave.
they keep trying to steal my money after I canceled membership
I think it is a right scam they said i could try the site out for 14 days if i like it then i have to pay 100 euros to use it, i tried it it has nothing useful to download on there i tried cancelling the membership being bought deleted the software but was not able too cancel they keep trying to take the money out of my account which has become a right nightmare for me which will give me bank fines and a bad credit rating as im in minus and it will also take the money out as soon as i get paid which leaves me having to starve for weeks.. or having to cancel my card which will be a nightmare as i won't be able to withdraw money to get food for the month until my new card arrives! So i now have to starve for a week... this is a polite way of looking at the site...
Could I conclude that I'm safe since I got this email? Pls someone reply to me
I have read all the concerns and I am scared now. I have entered by CC number in the registration form. However, my account status says "Enter payment data again." What does this mean? Am I safe because I entered the wrong data? Please help me out.
I accidentally made an account with them before searching about them and found myself in trouble. I made the account on Dec 12, but I couldn’t even log in with details that provided me. So I sent in screenshots of how they didn’t provide what they said so and I can’t login. I want to cancel it just less than an hour. I sent in emails and filled that online ticket as well as filled in that cancellation form they have, but they didn’t reply me at all. So I send them again and again around 10-20 emails of the same content plus filling that online ticket form again for everyday until they finally sent me this message today (Dec 23)
“As we told you several times now, your account was already closed on December 12th 2019. It is not necessary to to write us further cancellation messages. There will be no renewal of this contract, nor will there be any charges. We hope, we were able to answer your question...”
I’m not sure if they will deceives me and charge me but I cancelled that card already. So I guess the best way is to “insanely” keep on spamming them with over 10++ messages per day until they give in to reply. So keep on spamming them works for me. Now I have the proof that I have finally cancelled it without any renewal, I can enjoy my Christmas in peace...
I wrote you many emails that i cancel my account.
Sixth Times i wrote you to your clinent center with the application cancel my account. You ignored me.
I wrote my application in my Free Trial account and I tried comunicate with you. I didn't wait any answer from you. You ignore your Customers.
In your webside, you write that anytime during the trial period I can cancel my account. I complete the questionnaire About cancel my account, sent many emails and you ignored me.
I will not pay, because I want cancel my account in free trial and you ignored me.
So, delete my account now please!
Thanks
Customer: [protected]
I had the same experience. I couldn't even cancel the subscription no matter the number of times I tried cancelling and calling them. It worries me! :(
I cancelled my subscription even before the trial period ended and now I was charged with 99.00 USD!
WHAT A SCAMMER!
Scammer!
HELLO, USENET
I ENTERED MY CREDIT NUM TO BUY A BOOK AND NOW YOU GUYS STOLE FROM ME 99 USD
I'LL REPORT U
I do not get any email that's really the email I'm entering
I need to cancel the transaction
I canceled my trial with usenet.nl before the trial period ended. And there was no response what soever. Then I got an invoice of 99$. I, unfortunately, use a credit card. It basically stole money from me!
I will fire a legal procedure so that we could end this SCAM!
misleading information
I have contacted the company concerned regarding my complaint but had no reply. I'm really concerned about their business practice and my experience. Usenet.nl offer a download service and offer a trial which you actually pay 1 euro for. When you have the trial confirmed with a PayPal receipt, there is absolutely no information in any email correspondence at all that after 14 days they take 99 Euro from your PayPal account! No warning and received an invoice for a year's subscription AFTER the money had been debited from my account. I wouldn't mind but the ten mins I tried the trial, the software didn't work and I didn't give it all another thought. Not once did I receive an email asking me if I wish to subscribe and the information on the website about the charges made are very misleading indeed and do not state it will be 99 Euro anywhere and have checked this. Is this allowed? According to Trading Standards, this is bad practice.
To top it all, with this money being taken without warning and without an invoice, it has resulted in taking my account over my overdraft and over £70 in bank charges so far from happy.
To add insult to injury, the company have not bothered to reply to me so in the meantime I am contacting the appropriate authorities about their practices and an Ombudsman and legal advice and happy to take this company to small claims court - the sheer principle of the matter.
these guys are in everywhere, be careful what you wish before face with bitter truth! today i came across an advertisement about usenet.nl 14 day trial offer. and almost i had register it. but last minute i think "what is this usenet and what other users ideas and experiences about usenet" and i search it, . it not took too much time to reaching shocking truth... complaints are everywhere, and all stories almost same because of their (usenet.nl's) fraud style. they offer 14 day trial, they take x amount of euros from your paypal or bank account or they bill imaginary service fee to you which is you never used! and if they not collect anything from you in from start. no problem, they have your email or ip to reach you... they work with international debt collection consultancy firms. and don't worry there is too much this kinda firms in every country in world wide... they are almost looks like digital mafia and they certainly are a fraud company.
They've got me because I thought that was the real usenet website, it has the green certificates. Ive sent thousand of emails and bank can not cancel the incoming charges.
Hello,
I even haven't finished my registration for14 day free trial and tray have already begun to charge me Today, in some 5-10 minutes.
I have nothing from Usenet. I do not want to hear of this company anymore. I demand that they cancel my (? what ? I am not even registered yet I didn't finish with it - thank god) membership, or any track of me on their site.
What a shame that this company still operates and its management is not arrested.
Paypal and other banks which the mode of payments go through this company should stop dealing with them. If banks or other financial institution continue, they are accessory to the crime being committed. How can we contact, the business bureau at San Marino to file a complaint?
Usenet.nl, director Marco Carlini in San Marino, are swindlers.
They fool you into a trial period subscription, while promising you can download rare books from their site, and after you've filled in all the inscription information, you'll find out that they don't have these books!
Then you fill in a terminationform and receive a message that they have 250 or 325 other messages to answer and that you must wait 16 or 21 hours before they answer. Of course, they will never answer! They hope you forget about it.
So, send them (within 14 days!) a letter (by registered mail!) to San Marino (Via palma il Giovane n. 21; 47895 Domagnano; San Marino) that you want to terminate your trial period, otherwise they'll try to steal 100 euro or more from your account.
If your registered termination letter doesn't have the wanted result, you can request your bank or PayPal to reverse the stolen money. Don't forget to ask PayPal to finish deals with these crooks!
Sorry for this, but it is looking like it will be worse. I never heared what is Usenet, never had made any application, never got any bill, but just now I got on my private Address in Germany execution for non payment of some Bill I don´t know even what it is about. My Lawyers are having a Work and I went to know a existence of such company. Is it a company?
injustice
I have two weeks before the trial began on 30 .07.2010 usenet.nl Posted on site because they can not to look at e-mail account took me 100 euros.
In this way, I think the process was not legal.
A situation which is outside my decision ..
What can I do.
I was cheated by this company.
I feel so bad..
Hi to anyone dealing with usenet.nl don’t they are a fraud!
I was in a hurry trying to get hold of a file for a uni deadline, usually I do my googling with things like this but just rushed this time. The company makes it appear as if you are signing up for a free trial which will then be charged at 8.33 euros / month if you forget to cancel. Actually the charge you the full yearly fee straight up nowhere do you agree to pay a $99 dollar transaction in one hit. It may be hidden somewhere deep inside the fine print, but the information on the payment page and even the faq is very misleading and unclear, and make it sound like it’s 8.33 euros / month. If you have already been RIPPED OFF by usenet.nl DO NOT LET THE FINE PRINT DETER YOU FROM DISPUTING THIS CHARGE. This company is clearly trying their best to mislead and trick customers, and even if the $99 fine is hidden somewhere in the ten pages long fine print this is just not good enough – as a consumer you should not have to conduct and FBI investigation for what appears to be a small 8.33 euro transaction. This company do not deserve your money, so contact your bank and dispute the charge if you can!
It is no point to contacting them, I used the form four times no reply, I tried two email addresses (mediarelations@usenet.nl and response@usenet.nl) supposedly posted by their customer service team on other complaints pages (more likely bots as it’s always the same generic message posted as an answer to all problems) and both emails bounce. According to other people with problems the cancel button doesn’t work and you can’t phone them either you just end up in a never ending loop where you don’t get to talk to anyone, and no problem is dealt with! So unless you want to waste stress and money on international calls it’s probably easier dealing with PayPal or your credit card provider. I have seen posts of PayPal refunding this so I repeat do not be deterred by the fine print; you do not want nasty un-ethical people like this to have your money or credit card details.
To top it off the software shows up as malware / virus, and I couldn’t even get the file that the search showed up they had on their servers. So basically they give you a ### service a virus and charge you 99 euros for it while laughing at you!
two weeks ago Feb 12, 2012 I started the usenet trial version. I can hardly image this is legal in this current society ...
fraudulent charges
I received a pre-emptive email from Capital One this morning, regarding possible fraudulent charges that were recently placed with my credit card account. I called Capital One to find out what was going on.
Turns out there was a $1 authorization charge pending on my account from LSI usenet.net. The service rep was suspicious and informed me that the charge was made early this morning and asked if I knew the company or if I had ever done business with them in the past. I told him that I did not know the company nor did I make any charges in the past few days. He gave me their phone number [protected]) and told me to call them and inquire. I called and got a generic voicemail asking me to enter the voice mailbox number. I hung up and started some research on the net. I found a few hits on Google that led me to believe that the company was fraudulent. One website even stated that the company does the initial $1 authorization charge to make sure the account is valid/active, then maxes out the user's card limit account on fraudulent charges. I immediately called Cap One back, cancelled the account and got new cards issued. Good job Capital One on keeping a good look-out for fraud!
Just giving everyone a head's up out there who get a charge like this and don't know what it is.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Y want to be eraise from your web site. I did a big mistake by let my account date
I went to my bank and just the I foud out what you took 99.96 euro from my account. I want my money back
Pease stop my free trial emmidiately and please cancel my subscription and delete my accnt please thankyou. Please help me to unsubscribe it as soon as possible thank you.
They took around 12.50 euros off my count at least the last two month (as you can see on the JPEG)
I am french (living in France) and it happens the same thing to me. I hope my nank will do something.
