Due to an error in your software our claimed taxable amount for 2025 was incorrectly computed. My husband and I receive social security benefits and my husband receives a retired military benefit. Virginia does not tax social security benefits. Your software incorrectly included our social security benefits as taxable income. For 2025 Virginia does not tax the first 40K of Military retirement. However, due to your software error my husband's entire Military retirement was shown as income and taxed. Due to your software error we have overpayed our 2025 Virginia income tax. We expect you to resolve this error and submit an amended 2025 Virginia tax form immediately.

I expect a phone call from a supervisor to discuss how you are going to fix your error.

We believe similar errors were made on our 2024 taxes prepared by a turbo tax expert.
