Sometime ago I purchased TurboTax2024. I don't remember where I purchased it. In the past 10 or more years I have only purchased it from Costco or downloaded it from Intuit. I installed the program using the license provided by Intuit. After the install, I was regularly able to access my tax data without further need for the license.

At an appropriate time I sent my return to IRS. My return includes several K-1s for limited partnerships. Limited partnerships are a problem with TurboTax2024 since TurboTax prevents a K-1 entries in both box 2 and box 3. Many K-1s, however, include data in both 2 and box 3 although Intuit claims its procedures have been approved by IRS. There seems to be some misunderstanding between IRS, Intuit and the limited partnerships as to the proper way to provide data with the taxpayer stuck in the middle between 3 disagreeing financial giants.

Then, unfortunately, some of the limited partnerships report their K-1s in October. I don't understand how IRS allows that to happen. So, of course, we have to file an amended return.

This year, however, when I went to access my Turbotax2024 return, Intuit interceded and provide a new AI procedure for accessing my return which demanded my initial license which I have long since not needed and can't remember. So I am unable to access my Turbotax2024 return.

My tax liability is well into 6 figures. I need to file an amended return.

TurboTax, unfortunately, after many years of use, has become unusable in spite of assurances that it is approved by IRS.

I need TurboTax2024 to somehow give me access to my previously paid for, installed and reported data.

Since there are thousands of dollars at stake I am will, if necessary, pay for TurboTax2024 again to access my data and file an amended return. And then never use TurboTax again.

Note: I am 87years old, a retired computer systems designer and programmer. I would not have allowed this modified program to get out the door. What a disaster.

I am saving this notice to provide it to IRS.

Claimed loss: Potential tens of thousands of dollars depending on resolution of the problem or lack there of.

Desired outcome: Access to my previously filed data and then a friendly goodbye
