TurboTax review: Called for assistance and got incorrect information.

This is in regard to my case #1763601810377, on Nov. 21, 2025 @ 2:24 pm. After using turbotax for 20 years, I called and spoke to "an expert" (he told me 15 years) regarding the gift tax. I was specific about the situation and amount of the gift. He told me that since I file jointly with my husband, we needed to "split" the amount between us and sent me all the IRS forms and information on filing it separately, by mail. On the instructions from IRS.com, it specifically noted that these forms could be done electronically (opposite what I had been told). When I looked at all the forms, I realized they were too complicated for me to do on my own. It cost us $350.00 to hire a CPA and after 5 minutes he told us that we didn't need to file anything for the amount we were splitting. Why didn't the "expert" know this? I pay extra for assistance and was extremely disappointed that it cost me an unnecessary expense!
