Tracfone cell phone service
I have had a Tracfone for over 12 years and has no complains until I was told I had to update and receive a new phone. They did send me a new phone BUT after telling me they activated my phone and transferred my info to the new phone on Sept. 8th I have NO CELL PHONE SERVICE. It is now Sept. 17th. I have tried calling them everyday since to activate my phone but they say they can't validate my phone unless I have an account (of which I do not have, tried to open an account but failed) they will not help me to activate my phone. I have no cell phone and need it to pay my bills as they ask for a code for me to get into my account. There service is VERY BAD when a tech. can't fix the problem they past it on then you get disconnected. I just call them I was told since the person that was there to help could not verify my account she told me to call back in 15 min. to verify my account. They just past the buck on, and on. I am on a fix income so I will have a hard time getting another phone and service.
Desired outcome: I would like to have my phone activated so I can use it all my min. and time that is on that phone.

Motorola Motul G Pure cell phone
I have been a Tracfone customer for at least 8 years. during July 2022 TracFone by email said my 3g LG Tracfone cell phone service would be phased out and they would send a free replacement. I received a Motul G Pure cell phone serial # [protected] order # [protected] and called Tracfone for five days from 09/05/22 till 09/10/22 at least 20 times trying to get the new phone activated and my phone numberer and phone credits changed to the new phone. Now my old LG phone doesn't work and while they said my new one is activated; I am not able to call or receive calls on it. I repeatly asked for this problem to be corrected and if not let me send the phone back for replacement as I need the phone as my wife and I are handicapped. They never would pass me through to anyone who could authorized this. I now have no working cell phone thanks to them. I just simply want them to replace this phone with a working Motu G Pure phone.
Desired outcome: Give me a UPS call tag and i will return the new non-working phone for replacement.

To everyone reading this: In a nutshell: don't believe the Tracfone replies that you see here from Tracfone representatives that say they want to help you. They just repeat the same scripted jargon of trying to call them again or use their site apps etc. It's all bogus and they hang up on people if they can't fix things. I have been trying for 4 weeks to get help from them and after talking to 7 operators who read from flowchart type scripts and give the exact same generic dead end replies, I've gotten nowhere. I had to call my credit card company to reverse charges on my new refilling of $103.00 since Tracfone refuses to let me use the account. The 3G system went away without warning to me as a customer, I then had to pay my account refill in time to keep the account going since my year of time was almost up, thinking I could get the new phone afterwards and Tracefone would move my new minutes in the account to the new phone. But not only did their website not work to mail me a phone, the operators couldn't do it either. And if you ask for a manager, they say they are trained to help you so they are not allowed to get a manager on the phone! Now here's the reason why they can't send me a phone: my 3G phone is off service which is not of my doing, but they say they need to send me a pin number to verify I am who I say by sending to the same phone I just told them has no service! So why do they think they can send a pin number to a dead phone? Then I say, can't you send it via email instead. Guess what the answer is? a big fat NO. They don't have proper computer systems to fix issues for customers and that is why you get hung up on. They hit dead ends and I bet their manuals instruct them to "hang up if you can't help". What a joke this company is. I would be embarrassed to say I worked for them as an employee. As if they couldn't just send me a phone by asking for a mailing address and sending it over to the shipping dept. via manager approval? Really? They can't do a simple task for what should have been an easy fix? I could go on, but I have already spent weeks and weeks of phone call time just to be told NO at every turn. the LG322DL cell phone (customer service Dept).
I have a LG322DL phone I use for emergencies and to call family members. I have stage #3 COPD and need the phone for that reason. two days ago, I on 09/05/2022 I went to make a call and noticed that the back of the phone was lifting up above the battery. I know that over charging or using the wrong charger could affect the battery, but I've only used the charging cable that came with the phone. I did contact the LG Company who referred me to you again. As i mentioned I did contact your service dept. but the person I spoke to either did not understand what I was saying or had no idea how to help me. So, for the last couple days i've been trying to contact customer service buy without any help for anyone in the department.
Desired outcome: Replace battery or phone.

Tracfone
Tracfonee placed port protection on my phone and I have been trying to have them take it off for two weeks. Customer Service has me toggled between two departments. One sends a verification code and the other a PIN. Unfortunately, by the time I reach a representative in the next department the verification code is no longer good.
It began when I bought a new Tracfone and tried to switch my number from my old Tracfone. Customer Service could not accomplish that. Frustrated, I decided to switch to another company and sent back the new Tracfone.That was when I found out that Tract one had placed port protection on my phone.
Desired outcome: I would like Tracfone to remove the port protection immediately so I can switch my number to my new phone.

Activation of replacement phone
We have been trying to get the replacement phone that Trac phone sent us activated for more than a week now we have been a customer for more than 20 years with Trac phone, the phone was activated but with a long distance exchange and working but when they went to change the # back to our existing # it no longer works and I have given them all the info that I have but they can't send me a code for verification because the phone no longer works when asked if I know the security code to my account that is more than 20 years old I do not know, I have 1080 minutes of air time on the phone I have told them I have given them both # the long distance one and the existing # they see that on the account I have also been asked to take the back off the phone so many times to remove the sim card that now it will not go back on correctly and the phone is messed up now, they also said that the phone would reflect the existing # in 24hours and it has not it's been 72 hours now, I asked how can you send a verification code via text if the phone has no service they said that they cannot help unless I have the security code that is more than 20 years old. The existing # is [protected] this is the one that we want and had for 20 years, the # they gave us was [protected] the service rep said he sees both #s the serial # of the phone is [protected]
Desired outcome: A working phone with a local exchange is all we want and not to lose the minutes that are on the account may need to replace phone and start all over because the back will not go back on properly anymore, too hard to get on and off
This is a standard reply I have recontacted Tracfone and followed their request still to no avail I still get the same old runaround there seems to be no inner office memos on people that have complaints you would think that they would really want to solve the problem, but it doesn't look like they really care
No service at my new home
I was on the phone from about 11:40 til about 1220 trying to get some assistance on my lack of service. I got no help at all. I called 3 times, the first time I was hung up on after about 6 minutes with no service response, the second time I called when I got a response from tracfone, no one answered and I waited for over 5 minutes for someone to respond before hanging up, the last time I called the person I spoke with said that she would hook me up with the complaint dept., but during that time someone hung up on me. This is the first time that I have called for service. I truly hope it is the last.
The problem I am having is that I just bought a home in Pe Ell, Washington 98572. There is no tracfone service available here. Can I use my WIFI hookup for tracfone. If so, what do I need to do?
I have been purchasing smartphone cards for my service and just purchased another one with the hope that I can get a resolution.

Received a new number..BUT….my name did not come up…instead it was my number with the word “Massachusetts”.I was told NOTHING could be done…Huh!. I want people to see my name when I call them…..but…instead it says ‘MASSACHUSETTS “. First you can hardly understand what the service rep is saying….then when they don”t know what to do, THEY say there going to send you to the “higher department”…..then they hang up on you…nice huh…they hang up on you😳😳😳😳😳

Activating a TracFone
I have been trying to get my phone working with my old phone number (old non TracPhone) I have been sent to someone who is going to help me. They are hard to understand, but that's not the problem. They keep saying hang on the line as though they are trying to get information. They say again hang on the line, then I get disconnected. This has happened at least ten times. I try to be patient, but I am very frustrated by this, but do not take it out on those who are trying (I think) to help me. I am getting fed up. Please help me.
Desired outcome: Just want to get the phone working, I have already paid for the service, can't use the phone.

Tracfone moto g pure
My phone stopped working/was dead on July 17, 2022. I called tracfone and was told my phone was not working and was under warranty and I would receive a new phone in 3-5 business days. The number is [protected]. Was given a ticket # of [protected]. No phone after that. Called July 25th. Was told I should have been told 7-10 business days! Called again July 31. 5 more business days and I would receive phone! Called August 5 and was told 5 more business days. Then talked to an actual person and said did not know why was not processed. Transferred me to another person and got cut off! I had been cut off before. Called again today (Aug 27) and was told package was sent and would give me a tracking number. Then said should receive in 5 business days! What a crock! Lies, lies, lies. I've never dealt with such a pathetic lying outfit!
My phone was purchased on February 11, 2022.
Desired outcome: I just wanted the phone replaced!

5g service
After purchasing a 5G phone, it appears that 5G service is not supported by Tracfone in my area even though they advertise Verizon Nationwide 5G coverage. Tracfone's coverage map only shows LTE service however Verison's coverage map indicates 5G service is available in my area. There seems to be a discrepancy between Tracfone's and Verizon's 5G coverage.
My money being returned.
I ordered my cell phone the 23 of august I have been on the phone for 2 days with these people and I have not gotten a straight answer where my cell phone was in the mail system they have given 3 different mail services, finally today after spending 43 minutes on the phone and constant delays on the other end of the phone the young man came on the phone and told me that the cell was being shipped back to tracfone the man said I either had not enough money in my account which I do have enough money in my account or that the phone was out of stock. I spent 42.60 for this cell phone now they are saying until they get the cell phone back that there keeping my money I have documentation. Have no way to get my money back if they indeed lost the phone I need your help, please I just checked, and they have no reimbursed my 42.60 I want my money back.
I just bought a trac fone i git it yesterday and everything is installed my fone number minutes stuff like that. I have an extra fone i bought from you guys and it was just delivered today to my mail box I would love to send it back unopened for a refund
just looked on trac fones website and they are still advertising the fone i bough the TCL A3 wich they told me it was either sold out or i had not enough money in my account i have over 200.00nin my account so I know i had enough money

Ive tried to set up a new phone and the techs keep lying when they say they have sent my verifcation code to my email. Its been a week and a half without a phone. and at this point i dont think ill get my number. the second verifaction process(me providing the last two phone numbers i called out to from my last phone) worked on 1 out of 15 different operators. Then he said i needed to get into better service area and gave me the incorrect call back number. this staring 8-12-22 up to now

i have been with tracfone for many years. 2 years ago they sent me a message that i needed to buy a new phone. my old phone i could buy the minute cards at stores. well august 11th i had to go on line on their site to add minutes and text. they had an offer for 3000 minutes and 2000 text for the price of 159.99 plus tax. they withdrew from my account but i didnt recieve anything on their site when i checked my usage. on the 15th i had to call them to fix this problem. they wanted all kinds of info to verify phone and who i was. after calling the 4th time someone added only 1000 min. to my phone. i am not a happy camper. i used to be able to buy min. on their site with my new phone and everything went well. i think i will be done with this company when my minutes are done. sad that they cant get it together to make things easy like it used to.

I can't use my phone , everytime i try to dial out, it gives me a recording that they will direct me to customer service. can not receive calls either!
I spent 6 hours on the phone with your customer service with 6 different representives and nobody can help.
Each time they transferred me they cut me off.

Why do I have to pick a label that is provided, instead of making my own decision?
I have been using Tracfone Wireless as my cellular procider for the past few years, and even have bought two phone from their website, but cannot seem to get any kind of useful customer support from them no matter what I try...
When I try to call the so called 'Support Number' they provide, it is ALWAYS a long wait on hold to get an agent who speaks some very thick foreign accent that I cannot easily understand. So, I try to use their advertised 'Chat Support' option on thier website, but it has recently been changed somehow, and although there are still the numerous fields to fill out information on the window that pops up, there is no longer a button / link provided to begin the chat session. (attached)
This company has relentlessly provided a very lackluster service, and consistently has technical problems that they appear unable to correct.
Now, they have added the fact that they make themselves next to impossible to get any kind of customer support on top of their terrible track record.
I simply need to ask a couple of basic questions about my phone's features, and since I purchased it from them, they should be able to provide this, but they seem to refuse to provide anything that even slightly resembles customer service, and it is frustrating to the point where I am about to just throw this phone away, go buy a new one, and go to somebody else!

I know it has been a while since I posted this complaint, but I got a response of sorts, from someone named Alex, who claims to be associated with Tracfone Wireless, sent to my Email, except I can find now way to reply to this person as the Email notification says noreply in the sender information...
In any case, what was stated in the response message was to go to the same page I was posting about to chat with Support, but this is not possible, as I showed in my original complaint posting because there is no way provided to begin the chat session. I will post another screenshot showing this here, if it will reiterate my initial concer for this person.
As can be seen in the image, there is no Begin Chat option on this pop up window anywhere, so you can enter your personal information, but that is all you can do as there is no way to start a chat!
All of us with TracFone problems might as well give up, they reuse to help if you have problem. I guess i am going to throw my brand new TracFone which won't act along with three months of service in the trash. Life is too short to have to deal with TracFone and they know, that we will all eventually move on.
Nokia 2760 flip phone
I bought the phone at Target on August 9th 2022. Tried to activate.
1st contact with "activate service([protected]. talked to a lady. After trying for about an hour, she said she would have to transfer me to a higher tech. I got dumped in the transfer.
10th, I tried again. different girl same results. no callback from Higher tech.
11th, I tried again. different Girl. She tried the same procedures as previous girls having no results. She transferred me to higher tech, waiting 10 minutes. Dumped.
12th, Chatted with Sherwin on computer, He did the same procedures to no avail. Transferred me to higher tech. This time I made it through. Did many of the same procedures. Tech said he would input my account setup etc. I was to shut off my phone (2:00pm) turn phone back on at 5:00 pm and try to call a local #. That resulted in my getting migration services the same as every other time. The Tech said he would call me back on my land line to confirm my results. I did not receive a call. What now?
1.Should I return this phone and select a better one suited to my local?
2 What phone would you suggest for me. (want VOLTE)
3. Now I have a big nothing for $20.00
4. I am interested in a good phone that's reliable, and I don't play games. I have a lot of phone minutes and data invested with you. 1st trouble in many years.

Tracfone iphone se.
I have called at least six times over the last week trying to set up "my account" for my new iphone se. Phone is activated (actually a tracfone upgrade from my old samsung galaxy phone I have had for several years). Your representatives make all kind of promises that it will be fixed automatically in thirty minutes...or in one case 72 hours. I have many unused minutes, service days and data from my old phones. Your representatives are not helping me ! They all have difficulty understanding english.

porting number to new carrier
Today is 8/11/2022. I have been trying for 2 weeks to port my number to a new carrier. Every time it gets rejected. When I called tracfone tonight after the latest rejection, I got disconnected or I got told they can't help me because I was already given a pin today and I can't have another today. When I asked to speak to someone who could fix the problem, I was disconnected again. Finally I was transferred to the Help Desk and was able to speak to someone who was able to see all the attempts that had been rejected and why, but she was unable to give me a new pin today either because the system only allows 1 pin in a 24 hr period! I spent 2 hours tonight and still no resolution to the problem. Hopefully in 22 hours, when I am able to get another transfer pin, the port will go through. I was assured that it will, but I am not so sure.
Desired outcome: I would like my number to port to the new carrier.

activation problems
I received my new tracfone today and have been trying all day to get it activated and transfer my minutes and phone number from my old phone. I've tried calling and can't get a person. I've tried chat line and can't get anyone there. I've tried online and they are having problems so can't do it that way. I have used tracfones for several years and am now re-thinking staying with it. I'm going to have to shop for something else. I'm a polio survivor with walking issues so need a dependable phone.
