I have learned that hotwire is now the target to the unauthorized charges! Hotwire is giving great fun our information! My account has been charged for 6mths now and I didn't even know this! So if anybody have visited hotwire you have been getting charged every month since then! These people are scammers!

I too notice 7 charges this year for $11.99 on my credit card. I filed a complaint to the CC fraud department and told them I had no idea who they were and did not authorize anybody to debit my card for $11.99 a month. I then received an e-mail yesterday from a website called greatfunsite.com stating they are sorry to see me cancel my "membership". I had no idea who this was. So, I called my CC company and spoke with the fraud department and they stated they credited my account $11.99 x 7 billing cycles. The rep did state that the charges did occur from greatfun.com website. If I would of never checked my charges, this would of continued with my knowledge. How in the heck did they get my information and start charging my card? This is wrong and I am calling greatfun and filing a complaint, not that its going to do much good any how, but at least I will get to vent.

In late May, I signed up for some offer online, and I was offered a 30-day Trial Membership in TLG GREAT FUN. I never did receive the Membership Materials packet, so I called in mid-June and asked to have the Trial membership CANCELLED.
On July 7, 2008, however, I had $12.99 charged to my Chase Freedom card for goods/services I never received! I called again today (July 15, 2008) and demanded AGAIN that my Membership in TLG GREAT FUN be CANCELLED. I received a Confirmation Code of the CANCELLATION (MG102220715), and the lady I spoke with said she would remove the $12.99 charge from the above-mentioned Charge Card.
Had same thing happen. They said they would credit my account but what I want to know is how they got my credit card account in the first place!

I booked a hotel through priceline.com in February, 2008 - after that time, I noticed on my credit card statement for the months of April, May and June a charge of $11.99 for TLG Great Fun. Each month, I advised my credit card company that I was disputing this transaction as I had never authorized this. I just recently received a response from my credit card company stating that they called TLG Great Fun and was advised that when we booked the hotel, it was part of that. Please be advised that this is a SCAM! This charge has never been authorized nor will it be in the past.
I do know that there are numerous complaints against this company for the same thing. I want this amount to be credited back to my card for all the months it has been charged, including any future dates that I will be charged.

I got the same issue here. I got charged for $11.99/month for sometime since ...( I have to find out when). Then I did Google search and surprised to see all these complaints. I have to cancel my Credit (Citi Card) also because I just got a new card not too long ago but the charge was automatically transferred to my new card without my authorization. (Funny, Ha?). TLG Great Fun exists on the deceptive practice of luring members through an invisible service. In June 2008 I purchased movie tickets through Fandango. I hadn't realized that from that point onward my bank card had been regularly charged $11.99 per month. Just today I called their [protected] number to request that customer service cancel my "membership"and credit me the last 4 months worth of charges. The service agent was willing to cancel the membership only after trying to sell me on additional services! Can you you believe that? I had to be connected to a manager who then agreed to credit me $47.96 in the next 10 days.

Great Fun did the same to me. Funny... had they not been greedy and gone for the second charge, I probably wouldn't have noticed. I have disputed both $11.99 charges with my credit card company, as well. I am relieved that they will be helping me. I am calling them on Monday also.

I know where the fraud began on my account . I hired a Credit Restoration company and they stated they needed to do a $1 charge to set up the account and that only there charges of of 75 a month would be charged thereafter. Low and behold not only did the 75 charge show, but the Privgrd charge of 19.99 and the 19.99 hit my account every 2 weeks for a few weeks till I caught it. The $1 charge AND the $19.99 charges all came from PrivGrd so I know that credit restoration company is at fault for giving out my information with authorization.

Just discovered the charges on my Chase card that I rarely used. I'm sad to say that I never set up an account online with Chase and never checked my paper statements. Idiotic I know! When I set up an online account with Chase I noticed the charges, and that my card was maxed! My interest rate had skyrocketed also. I called to report the charges and found out they go back to 2006! Yes, almost 10 years! Chase told me they would investigate and get back to me. My wife and I began scrounging around for $4500 to pay the card off and rip it up. I got on the Chase site tonight and found that my $4500 balance was now $107. There were $1200+ charges for this scam and $3300+ in INTEREST charges that Chase put back into my account! What an amazing company to do such a thing. I had gone from disgusted to loving Chase in the matter of two days. There is hope!

Cancel the credit card. Chase let them charge my invalid sister for 16 months and then credited her back with 1 month. I'm canceling all my accounts with Chase.

TLG-GreatFun charged $10.99 to my credit card without my notice as a membership, which I never subscribed. This is totally ripoff my money by charging to my card. I called them regarding this, they are saying I subscribed to their membership after buying a air ticket from priceline.com. I never subscribed to their membership after buying ticket from priceline.com, which is totally baseless. Still worrying that they will charge again. I think this is fault with priceline.com privacy policies by selling their customer card information to third parties like TLG-GreatFun without customers consent.

Over the past several months I have been getting charges of $11.99 on my credit card by a company called Great Fun. Never heard of this company never received anything from them. Turns out when I booked a trip with Priceline there was a fine print scheme that had this company Great Fun receive my credit card info and bill me every month for $11.99. Supposedly I was to get coupons or something. Never did. Paid over $100 to this company though. Looking around online it seems that there are many other people having this problem and talking to one of their representatives it didn't seem like this was out of the ordinary.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Call the company at [protected] and you will speak with a run of the mill service rep on a script. Cancel your account, once your sure your account is cancelled ask to speak with a manager. The service rep will give you a line about faxing a letter requesting refund to the provided fax number, this is B.S. hence the request to speak with a manager. Make sure that you are documenting names and employee numbers so there is no doubt in their minds you mean business.
The supervisor/manager has the ability to process a refund electronically while on the phone and will give you a confirmation number for the refund. It takes 7-10 business days and showed up in that timeframe in my case. If they don't you should have names and employee numbers for everyone that promised you something so you can go back and make heads roll big time if necessary.

Signed up in order to get a $50 rebate on airline tickets i purchased from priceline. We never got a membership kit as they said. Instead all we got is a membership card with no other explanation. When i went on the website, i logged in, however it would just bring you back to the homescreen. After trying several times, i got the following message: "The secure certificate presented by this website was issued for a different websites address. Security certificate problems may indicate an attempt to fool you or intercept any data you send to the server"
It further recommended to close the window immediately. We called the number [protected] and canceled our membership.

There has been 12.99 coming out of my bank account being charged for membership of geat fun. I did not agree to this. One day I was playing a game online and something poped asking if I would like some couponds. They made it look like I was getting couponds. It wasnt untill after I hit submitt that they told me what company this was. I didnt know that I was being charged for joining them until a 12.99 charge kelp coming out of my account each month. I KNEW I shouldn't have agreed to the 30 day trial for GreatFun! But Great Fun said that as long as I cancelled before 30 days, I would not be charged a penny. GREAT FUN Online Savings Lied. I called by the 10th day and got a cancellation code and everything. We are STILL being charged $11.99 each month. My credit card company is going after them now but that's beside the point. It's just wrong and Great Fun is not to be trusted. (On the credit card, it is not listed as GreatFun...make sure you check your statements!)

Very interesting - I just looked over the weekend - had similar charges. I called them and they were closed over the weekend. So not only did they charge this month - they have been charging my credit card since January. I don't know how I missed it. So I called my credit card company and it's not being charged as revolving which mean monthly someone is entering my information from TLG*GREATFUN. I called them this morning, pushed zero and demanded to speak to a manager. After getting a speal from the woman on the phone about what great offers they can provide to me - BLA BLA - THIS IS A SCAM! Management credited my Visa for the last four months and said I would have to contact Corporate to reverse the other charges. Call them now... Great Fun - [protected] - and their Corporate Fax number is [protected].
We were also charged 35.99 on a credit card that we have not used for at least 4 months. How they got it I do not know. We have been hit by three different companies on our phone bill and at least two including this one on a Visa Card. Luckily I caught the Great Fun scam right away...called them...cancelled all future transactions and demanded a refund. They refunded it within days. I am absolutely amazed that companies like this are allowed to exist. CHECK YOUR PHONE BILL! The same stuff happens there. You have to fax copies of invoices etc to get refunded...ridiculous!
Somehow this company got my credit card number when I ordered shoes from Footsmart online. I got some info in the mail, but never authorized them to charge my account. I did not want their services. I thought I had it canceled in March when I had a charge of $36.99 to my acount. Well here it is 4 months later and the charge is there again. When I called to cancel it, the person I spoke with named Chang speaks so fast and does not listen to my request to cancel, but refers me to their website - another deadend if you want to cancel your membership. Just saw a $38.99 charge on credit card that didn t authorized Called Great Fun and was told that when we visited AirTran website we signed up for membership/quarterly payment, that offer included a $25 coupon towards a flight, that we accepted the offer We don't sign up for anything without looking thoroughly into it so don't understand how it happened The person I talked was v nice and promised a total refund.

I was enrolled in this scam without my permission when i renewed my subscription with classmates. I immediately caught the charge on my debit account and contacted this company. They insisted i ordered services but after getting cursed out by me, they agreed to close my so called 'account' and refund my money. I also contacted the BBB and filed a complaint. If more people file a complaint with the BBB, Maybe there will be less victims. We need to shut this place down. By the way, i was refunded my money and i am waiting to see if they are gonna charge me again.

anyone wondering what the site looks like, here it is
I have the exact same complaint as the rest of the people on this website. I did however file a complaint with the BBB board and if more people do this, maybe they will shut down this fraudulent company. They say they will give me my money back, but i'm still waiting to see if that happens.
Just got a call from my bank asking me if I authorized a draft of $12.99 from Great Fun-which I did not authorize. I called Great Fun and they told me I signed up for it when I ordered something from Miles Kimball. She said I got as $20 rebate signing up for this. I did not sign up for Great Fun AND I did not receive any $20 rebate. The girl I talked with was very accommodating and refunded my money--no problem except my bank canceled my card immediately so now I will have to wait for a check to come in the mail. Positive note: at least I'm getting my money back.
i have the same problem. i called fun great company they said they will cancel but they still charged me every months $11.99. i didnt give any information anybody how they got my information . i hav e no idea.
i just got ripped off too.clicked on that classmates pop up about a month ago and about 4 days ago checked my bank statement and there is a 12.99 charge for great fun.
the funny thing is, i never gave them any info.
i googled first. found nothing but these complaints and did not follow thru.
there was a 800# on my bank statement so i called and it was great fun.
spoke to someone who told me that simply clicking on that pop up
automatically quailified as signing up and that got my card info from classmates. i was told that it would be straightened out, but what what really surprized me, its 12.99 EVERY MONTH.

Sames scenario. At the end of signing up or renewing Classmates a "$10 rebate" offer pops up. This is the trojan horse that triggers the membership. First month is free so you do not notice right away and have trouble associating with Classmates because it shows up on the following months bill.
Called 800.285.5903 and was able to cancel and will be looking for credit on next months bill.
While signing up for classmates, I was enrolled in TGL great fun and never agreed to it. They started charging me $12:99 a month and I just noticed it. They agree to refund my money but they had an attitude. Acted like I was wrong untill I told them I work ed in Law enforcement. What a scam. I counseled my membership with classmates and won't renew.

Tlc great fun charged 119.99 to my credit card. I called them [protected]) to find out who they are. they offer a discount card service. I never use discount cards. would never purchase one. I asked them how they got my card number. they told me I registered online with them using my credit card. that is a lie, I haven't used that credit card in over a month. apparently after they get this initial charge on your card they continue charging monthly for thier service until you catch it on your statement.
This place got me too. I thought it was something my husband was doing since he worked out of state a while and used the debit. Well when he came home we kept very good tabs on what each of us were using the debit card on. So I noticed this TLG great fun. I called and asked what it was. They said I went to this site called occassions.com and signed up. I went on that site and I have never seen it nor would I have bought anything from this site. I demanded a refund that I have yet to receive. So I went to my bank. The bad part is since I thought these charges were legit they got a ton of money out of me for like a year. I can only dispute up to 90 days with my bank. So I am writing a letter directly to these scammers to get my money back!
Ya they got me to for 9 payments of 11.99 a month. They went though the back door of another place that I give my card to. Becareful after you pay for something that you go click the wrong place giving them the approvel to get in on the tail.
These guys stick in fine letter some option under some travel website lite Hotwire or ORbitz.
You need to call the above number [protected])) and get it canceled first and the contact support for the refund.
These guys will try to woo you with additional offers/rebates, but don't be fooled by that.

Last January, I helped my parents buy 2 round trip flight tickets from Tulsa (Oklahoma) to New Orleans (Louisiana) and back. I volunteered to do that because I knew Price Line website and buying tickets with them we would save about fifty dollars. I paid online for those tickets with my bank card. Everything was OK until last week when I suddenly found out that eleven dollars had been charged on my bank account for some unknown reason and by an unknown person. With my bank's help, I called to number [protected] to know who did that bad thing and what the reason was. The lady who talked to me from that phone number told me I was charged for my membership with something called "TLG Great Fun". It was the first time I heard that name and you can imagine how angry I got then. She also told me I joined the membership at the time I bought the flight tickets from Price Line! When I said I had never done something like that, I didn't know her "TLG Great Fun" and wouldn't like to have any relation with it, the lady promised to cancel that "membership" and give me a refund. I felt OK and calmed myself down to wait... Two days later, I received a "refund check" from "TLG Great Fun" with a tiny line at the bottom, "By cashing or depositing this check, you're purchasing a membership." If you were I, would you cash or deposit that check? Then, I had to cancel my bank card immediately! One more thing I know from my Dad, when you buy tickets with Price Line, you cannot use a self-check-in computer at the airport because the paperwork they mailed you will be with no confirmation number (record locator)!
The above is from a young lady and she's a graduate, working for the management of a software company. She was still tricked ! So, who would be ready to purchase something online if they couldn't use computers proficiently or argue in English? I got ripped off by TLG too. I have no idea when I purchase anything with them or subribed for any services. Today I noticed my credit card was charged $11.99. On checking statements from the previous months, I realized this was happening for the past 5 months.

I just found out it was being charged on mine as well. Call [protected]. It is automated, but be persistant. They will ask for your member number (but of course, you don't have one). Enter 5 or 6 zeros and hit the pound sign. Do this for all of the automated questions and you will be transferred to a person. They will try to convince you to keep the membership and give you 6 free months. Just be persistant and tell them no that you want to cancel it. I just got off the phone with them and they said it is canceled. I will be watching my statement for cancellation and hopefully a refund. Hope this helps anyone else who this has happened to.
