On 1/6/26 @7:40pm. I was checking out and had a coupon for $0.75 off 1 pound ground kroger turkey meat. I always wait to buy my turkey meat until I receive this coupon in the mail. I have been using it for 5+ years for the 3lbs. ground kroger turkey meat and have never had an issue. If cashier could not scan they kindly get an override from someone. The meat was $10.99; for the same meat just the package with 2 more pounds. So I am spending more money and the cashier on this day was Molly. She refused to even try to run the coupon. She grabbed the bags out of my cart to make sure my other coupons matched. Then she threw them back into my cart squashing the other food bagged up and said, "I'm not running this coupon, you can take it up with customer service." I have never had an experience like this in Kroger. It was for 75 cents! It's not like I was trying to use a Kroger brand coupon for a Tyson foods product. It was Kroger turkey meat for Kroger turkey meat. Since my day had been so long and difficult at work, loosing patients as a nurse is never easy and then coming home to sick children; the last thing I needed to do was take my receipt over to customer service. I did. I wheeled my cart with all my groceries out the door and back inside to stand in line at customer service who gave me $0.75 back without questions. Kroger needs to learn how to train their employees who work with the public b/c this was the worst treatment that goes down in my book for the ages! I would never treat someone that way! EVER! The customer service lady's name was Makenzie. The Kroger store: 9225 Kingston Pike [protected].
Recommendation: Avoid this store if you can or go to the self-service line.
