Takealot Various faulty products

I have now on several occasions had problems with items purchased from Takealot and the return process is atrocious.

Details of purchases:

Manga Drawing Guide - this one was a complete scam, didn't bother to log a return as it was a gift, there was nothing printed inside the book, empty pages
Spider Robot - missing parts, Takealot claims I didn't report it within 6 months. I actually reported it in the fifth month and there was a lockdown in between
Samsung 65" TV - a few months old, had visual glitches, returned declined within minutes of logging it, called Samsung support and they sent someone to help me - problem resolved but not by Takealot
Redragon mouse - stopped working after about a year, return concluded successfully at least
Hisense 49" TV - visual glitches as well, more severe, 3 months old. Return declined with no reason given few days after collecting TV. Problem not resolved, Hisense support useless as well.

If they sell faulty products, they should at least have the decency to replace them when they malfunction. I have bought many products that didn't have issues, hence the 2 star rating instead of 1, but it seems to be a bit of a gamble buying from them.

Takealot Order No:[protected]

Poor delivery service. Seeing that takealot.com don't have a complaints link on the website I thought il just use this platform instead. Purchased my product on Friday 14 May 2021 and was promised delivery by Tuesday 18 May 2021. Im still awaiting my product i have called in numerous times and was promised it will get delivered by the end of the day. I tracked the order on the takealot website and it states that they tried contacting me and I was not available so they are going to reschedule, but yet no one was calling me or trying to get in contact. The call centre promised that they sorted out the situation on 3 occasions. And told me i must collect it from the Branch. What is the delivery service for? And why are your drivers lying saying they contacted me? What is funny was that the Call Centre agents told me that the drivers werent even in my area, and i told them if im not reachable please leave the item by security. Im tired of calling after you guys to stick to your promises. I hope you guys are going to reimburse my airtime i wasted on calling you, to do your work. In fact the item was needed for Tuesday which has now passed so im not even sure that im going to use it. Can someone competent of Takealot.com please contact me to resolve this. Takealot Receiving an incomplete order.

I am Aviwe Dlamini. I ordered amongst other things a double curve dish rack which I never received. My order number was #[protected] ordered on the 1st of May 2021 and paid on the same day with a cheque card on my name. My phone number is [protected].

Takealot Order [protected]

Hi.

Order [protected] for a leather covered A5 notebook was cancelled due to non payment.

However, my credit card (enclosed) shows that Takealot was paid R479, 00 on 30 April 2021. To date I have not been credited with this amount which implies you have been paid.

Please fill my order soonest.

Takealot Red kettle paint coming off and it is bad quality

I have taken the kettle back and requsted a refund /replace mint ref rrn-k6ey-9-zvj63l it was given in at returns of takealot[RRN-K6EY9-ZVJ6 ON THE2021/05/11 this is not good stuf from takealot as I am dis a pointed withe quilty of the kettle to keep the good relationship with customer they must replace it in other colour

Takealot Watch has not been returned to me

Your request (RE: Return Query (RRN-djv66-m7wj) (Ref. [protected]))

I returned my watch (a mans citizen watch and is still under the 6 months warranty for working parts)- as it stopped working. This was on 23rd April (Takealot collected it) and it has not been returned to me despite the fact that the replacement was declined on 28 April 2021. I received an email to update my address, which I did even though it has not changed and I have been ordering with Takealot for years. After days of emails & phone call to Takealot my status was updated to collect. Yesterday I went to the Montague Gardens Takealot and waited for over an hour for my watch to be found. After eventually leaving my address and phone number and speaking to Moses, the team leader, nobody has called me back or delivered my watch as promised.
I need this watch back today latest as my son is returning to Uni tomorrow. Should this watch not be returned today I would like a full credit for the purchase price of this watch from Takealot.
What shocking service! and missing watch, which was not a cheap watch either.

Takealot Poor customer service

I bought shoes from Takealot. When it arrived it was too small despite being my wife's size. I asked for them to replace it with a size4. The consultant insisted there is no stock despite me being able to order it. Even their Facebook people confirmed there is stock. Yet they insist to refund me.
I have been dealing with Nosive Daniso and she is totally ignoring my complaint to here as she is not even acknowledging it, but rather making excuses. They are incompetent and arrogant. Takealot you are disgusting. I will never buy from you again and will blast you all over social media!

Takealot #[protected]

On 26/04/2021 I have received a note that above pakkage will be delivered before 5 that afternoon
Since then I have received notes every day and even today eg 28/04/2021, 29/04/2021, 30/04/2021, 03/05/2021 and three notes 04/05/2021
But the last note now say its delayed
I is a very bad service and very unreliable
I expect my pakkage today before 5 afternoon
I accept a speedy response

there is no way to contact anyone above the call centre, they make sure to hide their numbers and email addresses- the buck stops at first hurdle. They will say/do : Send back, we will check and make sure you are being honest (well, why ever else?), then you can wait some more. Then we will send you the wrong item again.

Takealot Neck massager

I bought the neck massager in January 2021, but neck massager meridian hole is not working, it seems as if the hole is too big .
is it possible to replace it, so I can be able to use the patches. I found it useless if I can not use those patches, machine is only for the neck I cannot use it on the body.

Takealot Rorogaurd motion sensor package

I bought a set of 4 robogaurds with the command centre last year September.
Order: [protected]
One of these has failed. I measured the battery voltage at 8.4 volts.
I replaced the complete set and now have a reading of 12.4 volts.
the alarm will not arm and does not pick up any movement
I have written to takealot and asked them to collect the faulty item for either warranty repair or replacement.
No response after 2 weeks.
This I find totally unacceptable.
Your corporate image has taken a dive in my estimation.
You charge over R4, 500 each for these and then don't respond to complaints..

Takealot Smart sports watch y10 black ip67

I ordered a Y10 black smart sports watch on the 31th of March 2021.
Received delivery on the 14th of April. I had unboxed it, and left it on the charger but nothing seems to be working. The watch is not responding at all, it has been left overnight even, still nothing. The screen did not show any indication that it was charging and when I press the on/off button on the watch there is no response. This particular watch is using a magnetic charger. and all outlets have been tested to give power to the charging . Is there anyone that can help me please,

Takealot Product not included in order and process taking too long to resolve

I, Deon Strauss, id nr [protected], placed an order for a VIZIA WiFi UPS 28 000mWh, (Order # [protected]) which on the add included the following:
* Minu UPS 12v
* Splitter Cable
* DC Cables
* DC Adapters
* Voltage Converter
which arrived on the 17th of March 2021. Due to loadshed, I opened to use it, only to find that the Voltage Converter, was not in the package that I received. I dropped Takealot an email on 19 March 2021 and brought it under the attention of Takealot. I was requested to give more details and complete on the system which I did. I was issued with a Ticket Ref #[protected] nr on 19 March 2021. On 20 March 2021, I received another email from David Vaphi asking me how I would rate the service I received, after which I brought it under Takealot's attention once again, that I was not satisfied. ON 20 March, one of your consultants, David asked me to send photos of my order, which I did. I was then handed over to Zinthle N, who apologized, and was told she is escalating to the warehouse, and she will be in contact with me once the warehouse returns with more information from their side, and she will revert back as soon as possible. On 23 March, Zinthle N send me an email again, to indicate that she is still chasing up with the warehouse and will revert back soonest. On 25 March, I dropped Zinthle N an email to ask if there is feedback yet, no reply received. On 29 March, I send another email and requested feedback, and on 29 March, I received feedback from Marlon Francis to indicate that it should be treated as a NOT WHAT I ORDERED scenario, and I should log a return on the website on my profile, which I did. I was further advised that only if there is stock that I would receive my correct order, or my account will be credited. I responded to Marlon and indicated that I don't fully agree with his NOT WHAT I ORDERED scenario, as the add was very clear and all parts on the add should have been delivered as per order. I stated that I was getting annoyed, because my children are homeschooling and with loadshed, miss classes, so I urgently need the matter to be resolved. I was bombarded with emails and requested response, which I gave but the matter just went on in circles. Marlon came back to me on 30 March to state that he apologize for the inconvenience and he is trying to resolve. On 30 March 2021, I received an email from Trevene Scholtz to state that my order was received after it was picked up to be send back. I was once again asked to supply photos of the product, the packaging received, the bar code etc. Which I supplied. On 3 April 2021, I received another email asking me the RRN nr and procedure to return. The return nr I was given was RRN-7bb4-5f94 to put on the box. Which I did. On 7 April 2021, I received an email to rate the support received. You can see clearly, up to now, there is no support. It is going in circles, no credit, return, refund, proper feedback. I am constantly in contact, asking for feedback, and every time I get another consultant to deal with... The item was received back in the Warehouse on 30 March already! ON 7 April, Trevene Scholtz came back to say that the warehouse confirmed that the stock that I send back was correct. The return has been approved and the courier will contact me to discuss replacement / credit or refund. On 7 April I indicated that I would prefer a refund to original account used, and an apology for the inconvenience, and in my mind, the matter was resolved and I was expecting my refund. On 12 April 2021 I followed up on my payment, and was informed by Trisha R that failed to notify Takealot within 7 days as per your policy and my return and request for refund was declined. I phoned them this afternoon and YES! it was DECLINED, because I FAILED TO RESOLVE WITHIN 7 DAYS? How do you get to that? I was in constant communication, did all the things I was required to do, send photos, return product, answer all the mails, jump through hoops on my side, and I was informed I took to long? I need this actioned, resolved, refunded, and sorted. My contact nr is [protected]. I order from Takealot A LOT! This will change. Please restore my faith in Takealot. Call me and get this sorted. Takealot Mirror reflector cover for huawei p30 lite

I bought a mirror reflector cover for hawai P30 lite and order came dis morning which I am absolutely disappointed with instead of it coming brand new its like second hand with full scratches on it and my point is it comes in a cover box so how can it get scratch so bad if urll selling stuff to people sell proper stuff not second hand and R350 is alot of money we have to work so hard to get that money so why must I keep quite

Takealot Wrong product

hi, I originally ordered 2x Samsung galaxy A20 gel cases, but today I received 4x tempered glass for Samsung A20...(IPG058), that have stickers on saying its the Shockproof gel case for Samsung A20...which it clearly isn't. I've not opened/tampered with them, but want to return them (as I've not ordered them; the product is incorrect; and the Samsung A20's that were ordered at the same time as the A20 Samsung shockproof gel cases - is not available, so a different order has been made.)..and have my account credited with the R120 please.
Please confirm this is done and how this product can be returned.

I returned 3 items and they were collect by your driver on the morning of 12 April around 9. A second driver came around 11 to pick up the same returns.

Now I'm getting text messages from TakeaLot that the return will be picked up on Wednesfay?!

What is going on and why is there no phone number to call you on?

Takealot Incomplete things

I bought a set of bar stools in February and upon delivery, I found that there were parts missing.

I only attempted to attend to the matter last month as I was out for duty, only to be adviced that I was suppose to have read T&C first. I have been buying on takealot for so many times and I have never been disappointed.

Since my attempt I have been trying to find the missing parts but to no success.

Below, I have attached the order and the missing parts. Kindly please assist in accordance.

Takealot Bubblegum tablet

We bought a tablet for our daughters birthday in July 2020.

When we received it we noticed that it didn't charge properly and we sent it back. They sent "a new one" which was actually the same tablet and still had a charging problem.

We returned the tablet once again and they sent it back again.

Seemed to be charging ok and then the tablet screen started glitching. We returned it once a third time. They then just sent it back.

We then noticed the kids mode had then stopped working and was still glitching. We then sent it back again only to be told we cannot have a refund amd blamed us for "dropping" the tablet. For one it has a thick protective silicone cover on it. They provided pictures that shows the tablet has been forcibly opened by someone and they were trying put the blame on us. They returned it once again, tablet was still glitching, kids mode still not working and then the top left corner stopped working.

We returned it once more and were denied a refund again.

Now they have no idea where the tablet is but we have been told its apparently been returned to us but it hasnt been returned since the courier collected it on 9 March.

I called in today again becausd we are still awaiting feedback only to be told that its in the warehouse but another ticket says they dont know where it is and then get told its with the courier who apparently are the boss of takealot and decide if we will get a refund or have the same faulty tablet returned.

There is never a manager available to talk to and they never call back either. The tablet is still under warranty and has been faulty from the time we bought it but still cant get a refund.

I ordered DYMO LETRATAG LT100-H HANDHELD LABEL MAKER 30 march 2021 (order #85927915) I received the unit 01 April 2021 that didn't work it didn't even switch on I contacted Takealot for replacement and received order (RRN-7317-cf20). According to Takealot app (order no #85983427) It was out for delivery Tuesday 06 April 2021 09h00 at courier "fast and furious". I tried phoning the courier company to hear the estimated delivery time that I can be available for delivery and collection, their telephone number just keep on ringing nobody answers. The original delivery date was then Wednesday 07 April 2021 between 08h00 and the latest 17h00 I then booked Vacation leave from work to be available for delivery as it was deliver and collection, and I waited and nobody phoned or showed up . Thursday 08 April 2021, I went to Takealot at Wonderboom junction I was informed that it was rescheduled for Thursday 08 April 2021 between 08h00 and 17h00 yet again I waited and yet nobody came or phoned

It's very disappointed I waited for 3 days none contacted or showed up from fast and furious couriers or Takealot..

21 April 2021 I received an email from Takealot that they aren’t going to do refund on the label printer because of the damage, they included photos how they received the label printer and it’s not how I exchanged it with the courier (it literally looked if somebody threw it against the wall to deliberately damage it, when the exchange was lodged within an hour of collection from original date the reason for exchange was the “ device didn’t switch on”).

After the long struggle for the exchange waiting a week after the delivery date and with the agreement with Takealot to phone an hour before the delivery and that didn’t happen When I placed it back in the original package used green cable ties to seal it, I then placed it then in plastic bubble wrap and inside the original box as per their instruction as per Takealot refund exchange policy with the reference number on the box showed the courier the device and placed the device inside the box and handed the box open to the courier that he can inspect the package and to seal the box (for them not to tell me i sended an empty box with a brick)

1 .Which reasonable person will ask for exchange of a product for a product that is at least switching on and go and damage the return that it could be seen as deliberately and effect the decision for exchange.. If I wanted to deliberately damaged the product I would have asked for a refund and not for an exchange

2 if the package was so damaged as received by Takealot then why did the courier take it when I showed the device to him

3. After a month I received feedback about my return so where was the return?

The bad service I received from Takealot for the exchange and now the allegation that it was broken deliberately I won’t recommend Takealot to anybody. Just imagine you exchange a product after the 1st month within 6 months warranty after you receive the product and the product is damage by the courier, or maybe by the company self that they alledged you deliberately have broken it. I have been a customer for almost a year now and spended thousands on Takealot online and this is how they repay you as a customer. Will rather do online shopping somewhere else

Takealot Afritrail hartbeest highback aluminium armrest folding chair

Good Day, I purchased 3 x AfriTrail Hartbeest Highback Aluminium Armrest Folding Chairs for my caravan in January 2021 the chairs was never used before we went on holiday on 26 March 2021. The chairs has 2 x clipping/locking clips at the back, the clips does not work properly and releases itself even if nobody sits on the chairs the clips is flimsy and when the clips the releases the experience is very uncomfortable.

Desired outcome: I would like AfriTrail to send me a better chairs at their expense for the inconvenience and being 760km away from my home and being unable to use their chairs, as I thought they provided high quality camping chairs
