We were with Metro PCS for 9 years. Over the last 4 months I have been getting notices from both Metro PCS and T-Mobile about T-Mobiles switch offers. It was time for us to upgrade our phones, and we needed more hotspot capacity. After speaking with T-Mobile, based on what was shared, we switched with them. Worst decision ever regarding carrier selection. The monthly service plan price was not at all what they charged on the first or second bill. It was $40 higher. I wasted collectively between the two billing cycles over 2 hours trying to get an straight answer as the why the bill did not reflect what I agreed to when I agreed to switch. Funny how they don't put things in writing when it comes to pricing and plan specifics as soon as you agree to switch. I have spoken to 6 different T-Mobile in the now 3 months with them and have never gotten the same answer to the same question yet.
Each person I spoke with regarding my billing concerns made it seem like it was my fault. And that in order to get the bill down I would have to reduce the hotspot capacity, the main reason why I made the decision to transfer to them. Then they came up with a $27 monthly credit to get the amount down, still not to what I agreed to. However, it takes 2 billing cycle for it to kick in an unless someone is monitoring it within the company for you, the next bill will be the high bill again. What a fricking mess! Bait and Switch does not begin to cover how I feel about them.
They think that they have people because in order to leave them and have operable phones you must pay for the new phones from them. It's like it is some sick game.
How about T-Mobile you be a company of your word. Don't play games with new customers. Put things in writing at the time of the commitment. Ethics goes a long way. We were Metro PCS customers for 9 years. I doubt that we make it 9 months with T-Mobile. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone. Just the opposite. I will tell people to steer clear of them.
Recommendation: Select Another Provider.
