After a windstorm, I put in a claim with several pictures to repair my swimming pool and Statefarm found every reason why they should not pay for the repair. The pictures showed a branch in the pool with a hole in the lining. Then the water ran out damaging the side of the pool. This was a chain reaction starting with the branch. Statefarm stated that the branch had nothing to do with the damage. If not, what put the hole in the lining? They take your money but they don't want to pay for any damages. I appealed their first decision but once your claim is denied, no one will over ride that decision. After giving them supporting pictures, they still would not change the first person decision. I will never own Statefarm again and if you are smart, you will leave them alone.
Recommendation: If you are smart, you would never use Statefarm. But if you do, you better make sure that your claim is identical to the fine writing in the contract. Because they read into the contract and picked out that the water pressure was the cause of my problem which is wrong. Make sure that there is no gray area for them to deny your claim.
