Scott Means your sales manager in mentioned staples store.
I was one of staples clients for a long time. On Wed Feb 20th, I visited this branch for the reason of purchasing one printer (9970 Brother). I found out that staples has this printer for $599 and when I asked to match the price with amazon which was $591, they paged sales manager who was Scott Means. He came and he start acting very rude because he recognized me as a person always ask for matching the price and he very rudely said why you are always ask for price matching. I remember you last time we had a hard time with you to match the price for you. We can not matching the price with amazon.
First, I am a business owner and I always talk to 100 people daily, but I do not let anybody to talk to me like that. I am really angry and I need staples to take it serious and start investigate this case about his behaviors with your customer, then let me know about the result.
Second, if you can't match the price or you don't want to do it, why do you have this policy?
Third, if you can't match the price with amazon, why you mentioned it in your website.(Which competitors will Staples price match?Staples retail stores will price match prices at brick-n-mortar retail stores and at Staples.com.Staples.com will price match prices at select competitors' websites and Staples' retail stores. These select competitors are: Amazon, Best Buy, Costco, Dell, Hewlett Packard, Office Depot, Office Max, Quill, Medical Arts Press, Reliable, Sam's Club, Wal-Mart, WB Mason, and Xerox. Items must be sold and shipped by one of these competitors.)

Apparently your business isn't doing very well since you cannot understand a very simple price match guarantee, which I might say is better than one of there competitors...Walmart. Amazon is an auction style online store. Since the majority of its products are not owned by Amazon it is treated by everyone like an Ebay. Second, Staples will match its own website, but as it states in plain English...staples.com can only match online sites after it has been researched for authenticity. I'm sure whatever business you are in would not be in business very long if you matched an online auction that sold for $5 used but you sold it new in box for $50, Not everyone is a competitor that you can match. Use some intelligence. It seems to me, as someone who runs a business as well, that you are one of those customers who no matter what the store or manager does for you, you are going to cause a problem. They probably told you before that they don't match Amazon and you ignored it time and again. Move on or shop someplace else.
