Unleashing the Power of Creativity: A Review of 'The War of Art' by Steven Pressfield
Just a little update for those of you who get a reply on here from "Kandyce C."; the email address is a "catch-all" mailbox where you receive a reply from any of their contracted support people. They play email-tag with you for days. Then if you call, you don't speak to this Kandyce (because she's not a real person). You get someone who struggles to speak English and you can't understand them. They have a script in front of them that they just read trying to walk you into the trap of buying the newest equipment or replacing it (at your expense). Everything is out of warranty the minute it gets shipped. (no surprise there) They don't know how to respond to you if you throw them a curve ball in the conversation (that's because it's not in the script) so they back up and start re-reading the same lines again. If you notice, all Ring does in these responses is state that's not how they do things and apologize. Then encourage you to email them, which leads to calling some third-world call center that probably also supports washing machines, cell phones, Dell computers, HP printers, (you get my point). When I called, they wanted me to climb a ladder and work on testing the equipment while on the phone with them. They highly insulted my knowledge of wireless technology by telling me some twisted story that wireless signals can't pass through walls and I had to go to some store and buy a special "repeater" (It's called an "extender" but they said that was the wrong term) to install outside. I agree with Scott, Shannon, Michael, and the others on here... it's a bad deal. The owners of Ring had the equipment manufactured "overseas" and then hired a call center over there to support and troubleshoot issues. My Ring products have been dismantled and picked up by a company that uses parts from unwanted technology. I couldn't live with myself if I tried to Ebay or sell these on Craig's List.
Ring Peephole Cam Review: Terrible Customer Service and Short Lifespan
Bought a peephole cam from Ring for my daughter's apartment and it stopped working properly after only a year and a half. The video was only in black and white and sometimes it wouldn't work at all. I called Ring and was on the phone with them for three hours, but they didn't seem to care about my problem. They even hacked into the camera to tell me what was wrong with it, but then said they couldn't send the necessary part to fix it. Instead, they told me I had to buy a new camera and that I could only buy it as a bundle with a chime. I explained that my daughter didn't need a chime and that I didn't want to pay for something she didn't need, but they said that was the only way to buy the camera.
My daughter already gets all the alerts she needs on her phone and doesn't need a chime. Plus, I don't even trust that the camera will last more than a year and a half, so I don't want to keep buying new ones. Ring didn't care about my warranty being up by only five months and wouldn't replace the camera. I had already spent $260 on the first one, including two extra rechargeable batteries.
I don't want to buy something I don't need and I don't trust Ring's products anymore. I'm telling everyone I know, including other tenants at my daughter's apartment complex and the management, to consider other options. Ring's customer service was a nightmare and I don't want to deal with them again.
I ordered the camera on June 26, 2019, and my order number was W. The total cost was $217.11, including sales tax. The camera was the Ring 1080p Wireless Door View Cam, model number 8SP1S9-0EN0, and store SKU number ***464. I paid with HD Commercial.
Disappointing Ring Support Experience: Multiple Calls and Delays for Replacement Batteries
I got a lot of Ring products in my house, like 23 of them. I got 14 Piece Ring Alarm with Professional Monitoring, 4 Path Lights, 1 Step Light, 2 Spot Lights, and 2 Floodlight Battery. But, I had some trouble with the Floodlight Batteries. They were flickering and I needed to replace them. So, I called Ring Support like 3 weeks ago. A lady answered and she did some troubleshooting. After like 30 minutes, she told me that they would send me the replacements soon. But, after 2 weeks, I still didn't get anything. So, I called them again and a guy answered. He told me that the previous lady did everything wrong and nothing was processed. He said he would "fix" it and send me the replacements. He asked me to send him the picture of the serial numbers for both floodlights, which I did. But, after 5 days, I only got one floodlight. I called Ring support again and a lady answered. She told me that the previous guy only ordered one replacement. Can you believe it? I had to call them 3 times just to get my replacements. I asked for the supervisor and her name was "Rose". But, she told me that they didn't have the email or number for the "Ring complaints" division. She told me to look at the Ring packaging for more details on who to contact. I was still on the line with them when I wrote this review. But, they put me on hold and the line just cut off. I'm so disappointed with Ring Company. They belong to Amazon, but their support is terrible. You would think they would at least offer me a discount or waive the product charge for my trouble. It's such a shame. If someone from Ring or Amazon reads this, please look up the below request ID's: Request ID Plc26d5-4758 - this was where the male rep only ordered one replacement instead of two, and Request ID Plc3832-c004 - this was where the second replacement was ordered. Regards, Nidish.

Disappointing Support from Ring: App Incompatibility Left Me with No Choice but to Buy a New Phone
I had a problem with my Ring Doorbell and App, and I contacted the support service via chat to try and resolve it. The issue was that I couldn't communicate properly with the person at my door, which was quite annoying. I tried everything I could think of, like testing the Wi-Fi, resetting and checking all the settings, and charging the battery to full capacity. But the problem remained, so I decided to uninstall the App from my Samsung Note 8 and download the Ring application from the Google App store. Unfortunately, I couldn't download it because a prompt was displayed saying "Your device isn't compatible with this version". I tried several times with no success, so I contacted Ring support.
After making contact with a support adviser via chat, I was told that my mobile device was no longer supported due to the Ring App being a later version. My phone is on Android Version 8.0, and no further updates were available. This meant that my Ring doorbell would no longer be fit for purpose unless I was to purchase a new mobile phone. I found this very upsetting as I would need to spend several hundred pounds on a new phone to enable the doorbell to work. No further support could be offered to resolve my issue.
I spent several hours browsing Google in the hope of finding an earlier version of the app that I had previously installed. Eventually, I managed to download an earlier version of the app from another website, and I can confirm that my Doorbell issues have all been resolved.
I find this extremely frustrating that the Ring support adviser could not offer me this solution, and no other support was offered to help with my problem. I am appalled with the service and support which I received. I will not be buying any more products related to "Ring" in the future.
Terrible Product and Customer Service: Cheap Plastic Mount, Poor Battery Life, and Useless Features
This product is not worth the money. The mount is made of cheap plastic and broke immediately after my first installation. Even the replacement part is almost broken, and I have to be very careful when removing the Cam to charge the battery. The battery life is also not as advertised, and I have to charge it every few weeks, even though my usage is low to moderate. Sometimes, it takes forever before it starts charging, and once it starts charging, it takes another 10 hours to charge. I think the battery or the camera is about to die, and it's not even a year old yet. The video quality is poor, and it's almost impossible to identify people captured. Even if the video quality is good, the subject will be on their way out by the time the video starts recording because of the lag. The feature of setting the zones (sensitivity) is useless, as there is very little difference.
The company's customer service is also terrible. They recently sent me a discount code for a different camera, hoping it would be better. I tried to purchase one, only to be told that the code doesn't work. After being accused that I was not sent a discount code, I was asked to provide proof. The email sent to me indicates that the offer was exclusive to me and intended only for my account. It was inadvertently used by another person, and I was accused that I gave my discount code away and not given another one. How can I give something that is supposedly exclusive to me according to their offer? All I did was forward an email to a relative to alert them to check their email if they have received the same offer. Apparently, the relative was able to use someone else's code, and apparently, it was not exclusive to me. At the end of the day, I'm glad it happened and prevented me from buying another horrible product from this horrible company. I researched and found a better product and referred them to relatives and friends. It seems this company has been living under a rock and unaware of the importance of treating your customers well.
Ring Doorbell Review: Disappointed with Lack of Video Alert Without Subscription Plan
I recently purchased the Ring Doorbell and was hoping to get VIDEO ALERT without having to pay for a subscription plan. However, I have yet to receive a response from Ring regarding this issue. It seems like their responses to reviewers are just a way to make it seem like they care, but in reality, they may not be doing much to help. I wonder how many other reviewers have had their issues resolved.
I sent an email to Bilan on August 22nd, but have not heard back yet. I even copied the entire email and asked for instructions on how to view a video alert without subscribing to their plan. I hope to hear back soon.
One of my major complaints is that Ring does not mention anything about the subscription fees on their product packaging. Most of their competitors allow video clips to be viewed for free for several days, which is very helpful in reviewing who was at the door. Although I still receive alerts on my smartphone, without the video, it is essentially useless. I understand that not everyone can immediately go to Life View when they receive an alert triggered by motion or the doorbell. In my opinion, Ring should allow consumers to review the video at least once or within a certain period of time for free, without having to pay for a subscription plan. The lack of disclosure on the packaging about subscription fees is misleading to consumers.
Overall, I am disappointed with my experience with Ring so far. I hope they can address these issues and improve their product in the future.
Ring Customer Service is a Disgrace: My Experience with Broken Bell Replacement
I have to say, my experience with Ring has been less than satisfactory. I purchased a Ring bell on November 25th, 2017, and by the next day, it was already broken. I called their support service, and a representative named Jasmine told me that they would send me a new bell and that I didn't need to send the broken one back. I was relieved, but my relief was short-lived.
Days went by, and I didn't receive any updates on the replacement. I called Ring on November 30th, and the representative I spoke to assured me that the replacement had already been shipped and that there were no problems. I asked her to confirm this twice, just to be sure.
On December 2nd, I called again, this time speaking to a representative named Whitney E. She told me that no replacement had been shipped and that they would send another one out. I also requested a letter confirming the fault of the original bell, but I never received it.
To make matters worse, I was told that I needed to provide my credit card information to receive a replacement for a broken bell. I was shocked and frustrated, but I called back and spoke to Tiffany C. She told me that they needed my card number to send out any replacement for broken bells. Instead of the bell, I requested a replacement base that didn't require credit card information.
Days turned into weeks, and I still hadn't received any tracking information or updates on the replacements. I called again on December 9th and spoke to Eric Robles, a member of the management team. He told me that all three replacement parts were on status "Pending" and that they had never been sent out in the first place. He offered to personally arrange for them to be sent and promised to provide me with regular updates. As compensation, he offered to send me a free Chime and six months of Cloud service for free.
It's now December 18th, and I still haven't received any replacements for the bell. I've sent several emails, but I haven't heard anything from Eric Robles or anyone else at Ring. It's been four weeks, and I'm extremely disappointed with the level of support I've received.
In my opinion, Ring is a disgrace and an embarrassment. They're incapable of sending out replacements to the UK for broken parts, even after speaking to the management. The whole company is unprofessional and a scam. Every time I call, I get staff who provide inadequate support, lie, and are incapable of completing requests. I would advise anyone to avoid Ring and look at other competitors.
Ring Security System Review: A Frustrating Waste of Time and Money
Ring is a company that promises to give you peace of mind, but in reality, it delivers nothing but frustration. Let me tell you why.
First of all, the installation process is far from simple. You need to have an electrical source that isn't already maxed out, and you can't connect it to a breaker in your garage that already has stuff dedicated to it. This means that you might need to hire an electrician to install it properly.
Secondly, the broadband connection is not simple either. If your internet speed is not enough, you need to seriously upgrade your internet service. This can be costly and time-consuming.
Thirdly, there is no guarantee of service. The system periodically blinks out and no longer works. To fix this, you need to completely reset the system, which requires going up on a ladder if you have one of the flood lights over your garage or above a front door to access the reset button.
Fourthly, the process to establish a connection is confusing and simply fails. You might spend hours trying to connect it, only to find out that it doesn't work.
Fifthly, proximity is irrelevant. You could be standing under it as it is connected to a passing satellite in the sky piloted by NASA astronauts and it won't give your phone an image. This is frustrating and defeats the purpose of having a security system.
Sixthly, you might need to buy a new cell phone that works with Ring, only to discover that it doesn't work with Ring. This is a waste of money and time.
Seventhly, tech support is useless. All they can do is tell you to turn off data, stand next to your router, and check signal speed. This is how they determine that you now need high-speed broadband (see #2). This is not helpful and doesn't solve the problem.
Eighthly, they have you checking all around your home like looking for paranormal activity in a haunted house only to inform you that an additional item is needed called a "Chime". This is frustrating and time-consuming.
Ninthly, once the chime arrives, you need to repeat numbers 1 through 7 to help amplify the signal. This is a waste of time and money.
Tenthly, you are scammed into paying for the service for a year with promises of the images being backed up and so on and so forth. However, refunds don't happen, so you are stuck with a system that doesn't work properly.
In conclusion, Ring is a great idea, but executed by typical enterprising [censored]s that get the business down before they get the tech down. I truly cannot conceive of a better way to scam people out of cash, make them buy more internet, a new phone, and additional perks only to deliver nothing. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Ring Pro: Inconsistent Product & Poor Customer Service
I had a bit of a rough time with Ring, let me tell you. My Ring Pro unit stopped working back in December, and it was a whole ordeal trying to get it fixed. I had to jump through so many hoops, it was ridiculous. But my son had a better experience, so I decided to try again. First, they asked me to send them the email thread from my original email address. Like, seriously? Then they wanted a credit card on file in case they didn't get the original device back. That made me laugh out loud. If I send the original back and they send a replacement, why would they need my credit card? It's not like they're going to hold onto my money until they get the original back. That's just silly. And they didn't even send me an RMA, shipping label, or instructions. I had to pay for return shipping myself, which was just the cherry on top of this whole mess. Ring needs to get with the times and make their customer service more user-friendly.
Now, let's talk about the product itself. It's just not consistent. I've had blackouts, connectivity issues, poor video quality, and it doesn't even track movements properly. I have great WiFi, too, so that's not the issue. I followed all the tech recommendations, but it's just not ready for prime time. The only good thing is that it has a warranty, but it's such a hassle to engage the process.
UPDATE: I just posted this review and within minutes, I got a notification that they're sending me a shipping label to return the product. It's ridiculous that we have to go through so much trouble just to return something, but I guess you have to be tenacious. It's frustrating, but it's worth it to get your money's worth.
UPDATE 2: I finally got a full refund, but it was such a hassle. I ended up buying a NEST camera instead, even though it's a bit more expensive for cloud recording. But it's worth it because it's a much better camera with no issues.
Ring Devices: A Disappointing Experience with Terrible Customer Service
So, I gotta say, I had a pretty rough time with Ring. I mean, I was really excited to get my hands on their doorbell and video camera, but both of them ended up failing on me. The battery just wouldn't hold a charge anymore, and I had to recharge them all the time. I tried using the cables and adapters they provided, but it didn't help. Even the solar adapter for the video camera stopped working, and that thing was supposed to keep it charged all the time!
So, I called up their support team, and let me tell you, it was a nightmare. I had to wait on hold for two whole days before I could even talk to someone. And when I finally did, they just blamed me for leaving the solar panel plugged in too long. They said it ruined the battery and voided the warranty. Like, seriously? I'm supposed to climb up on my roof and unplug it every time I need to charge it? That's ridiculous.
So, I called back the next day, and I got transferred around to a bunch of different people who could barely speak English. It was so frustrating. Finally, I talked to a guy who actually knew what he was talking about. He said that the batteries are only supposed to last as long as the device itself, and they don't sell replacement batteries. I mean, come on. How are they supposed to sell new models if they let people keep using the old ones?
Anyway, I ended up trashing both of my Ring devices and switching over to Nest Doorbell and Blink video cameras. And let me tell you, I am loving them. Sure, the Blink cameras are a little pricey, and they require lithium AA batteries, but I can deal with that. At least I don't have to deal with Ring's terrible customer service anymore.
Honestly, I think Ring could have been a lot better if they had just launched the business better and used better customer service. But I guess that's what happens when you have an international team. And even though Amazon bought them out, it's not like they were the first choice. I mean, some smart investors and companies turned them down for a reason.
