On 1/5/2026 I called customer service and spoke to a representative, Keith, who ordered the pillow top mattress cover for me. Keith confirmed my mattress was still under partial warranty. Keith then told me the price I would have to pay plus tax and freight. Order number is 9502096928.
When I asked about delivery, Keith lied to me and told me I could expect my mattress cover to be delivered on 1/15/2026. I then received an email from Sleep Number stating my item had been shipped. On 1/15/2026 I called and spoke with Elaine to get an update on my mattress cover, I was told item has not been shipped and the company has up to 30 business days in which to ship item. For being lied to by Keith and receiving an email by the company telling me my item has been shipped, I asked that be compensated for the freight charge. Elarnie (#45) could not do this and I asked to speak with her supervisor. I spoke with Cae (#35) and was told the same thing. Cae was rude, belligerent and refused to let me speak with her supervisor.
This is not the type of business dealings I am used to when conducting business with a large company. I expect someone at Sleep Number to do more than give lip service by apologizing. I was specifically told by Cae that Sleep Number has integrity. Well, so far I have not seen that displayed. I have encountered a liar, a rude and belligerent supervisor and no one to resolve this situation for me in a timely manner.
By the way, the account is in my late husband's name. No one at Sleep Number customer service offered to change the name of the account to my name.
Claimed loss: No pillow top mattress cover delivered when company representative originally told me to expect item.
Desired outcome: Item shipped in a timely manner plus paying for freight because of the lies by a company representative & receiving an email by company stating the item had been shipped.
