I rented a car from SIXT Shlomo in Israel on July 7, 2026. At the time I picked up the vehicle and signed the rental agreement, I was provided with and signed a document titled “Car Review–Check Out.” This document contains a diagram of the vehicle identifying pre-existing damage with two red X marks. The areas marked as damaged include the front front-right sections of the vehicle.
I returned the vehicle five days later in the same condition in which I received it. Despite the fact that the damage had been clearly documented on the vehicle inspection form before I took possession of the car, SIXT subsequently claimed that the damage occurred during my rental period and charged me $1,167.
When I disputed the charge, I specifically provided the “Car Review–Check Out” document as evidence that the damage was pre-existing. The documentation directly contradicts SIXT’s claim that I caused the damage during my rental. Nevertheless, SIXT refused to reverse the charge or refund the money.
Claimed loss: $1,167
