The week of 8/17/25 when lobsters were on sale for $7.99 the seafood manager at the Elmsford Shoprite told me at 8:00 a.m. on 8/18 that they would be coming in at 10:00 a.m. I returned at 10:00 a.m. on 8/20, and he told me that it was 8:00 a.m. until he looked at the time on his phone.
I went to Scarsdale Shoprite and bought two lobsters with no trouble.
On Monday, 8/25/25 I tried to buy oysters. The seafood manager was nowhere in sight from 7:30-8:30 a.m. I returned today, 8/29 at 8:30 a.m. He told me not to bother him. He was busy laying out salmon portions. I inquired about oysters. He snapped, "We don't have that."
I went to Scarsdale Shoprite and bought a dozen oysters.
The associates in Elmsford are pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful with the glaring exception of the seafood manager who is nasty, dishonest, and incompetent in ordering advertised specials.
Desired outcome: Give the seafood manager an in-service course in customer relations or replace him.
