Shoppers Drug Mart Self checkouts

I live in Sudbury, Ontario. I do not use self-checkouts at any store because I believe they are job killers. Maybe not today... But certainly tomorrow. Automation and intelligent technology does not create more jobs for the average minimum wageworker... Never have, never will.

They do not speed up checkout as advertised as it takes as long or longer for a shopper to check themselves out.

I do not want to use them. The Sudbury downtown store I was rudely handled by a cashier when I said I did not want to use one. So much so, I may not shop there anymore.

Self checkouts do not make my shopping experience more convenient or more pleasant.

Shoppers Drug Mart Pharmacy, unsafe practices, and others

Went to shoppers today, to pick up our sons bubble packs. Because of issues we have had in the past with them, found all his breakfast, supper and weekend pilsshould be in the samr bubble pack, they were not. Noon pills are to be in a seperate pack, should be for day program, never done. Methotrimoprazine order had changed, from prn to reg dosing, 15ma breakfast 5 mg @ 2pm and 5mg @ supper, now the 2pm pills should be in a seperate pill pack for day programing, none was put in any pill pack .S/L ativan in pill pack for day program. I talked to them about this happening along with clonazapa prn in a pill pack, never happened and some were not even done.We have been in on sperate occasions telling them how the meds need to be done, everything was written on a piece of paper, nothing done or done correctly. All his medication is never right, if we didnt know his drugs, I fear things would be worse. This Pharmacy need to be held accountable. They are unsafe, not knowledgable to medication . They are an accident waiting to happen. This is not the first time, they have screwed things up with his drugs. I want action taken and I want action now. I have sent emails to a customer service line, got one reply SORRY, nothing from managment of yhe store. People be aware of your meds using this company. They have screwed up or missed drugs. I am to the point we will be filing a suit against them . I fear they will kill my son or someone elses with this neglect and mis managment. I expect a Manager contact us. We go into unsafe practice on giving injections. I found there was no privacy to fill paper work, the pharmacist, never once washed his hands between clients, I find a needle sitting in a used vial, allowing the air and contaninates in to the drug. He at no time explaind anything about the medication give now this was the astraxenca vaccine, never said a word, when I aske dwhat he gave he said moderna. I found the area for injections dirty and cluttered. I will be sending a complaint to manitoba health. We have had same incident before, with his drugs, so I wont go through that again.Something need to be done about shoppers. The one i refer to is Shoppers Portage la Prairie, Manitoba

Desired outcome: I want shoppers Drug Mart to respond how they intend this to stop happening in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, not acceptable.

Shoppers Drug Mart Return program

I am no longer a customer of this company, the rights and satisfaction of customers must be respected, it is very sad that you win a gift that you are not happy with and cannot exchange or have your money refunded. I just got a perfume that wasn't what I used, and tried to return it that same day that clearly hadn't been used, and Brooks Ab's company. I hope other people see it and buy it from another store that respects their right not to have a product that you don't like

Shoppers Drug Mart Communications re covid 19 vaccination in british columbia

As loyal customers of our Vancouver BC, Shoppers Drug Mart, when the provincial government announced vaccinations would be provided at participating pharmacies, we naturally contacted you. We were directed to your website, which is also listed by the BC Pharmacy Association as a participating company. Unlike all other Pharmacies, your webpage does not even provide a way in which to register or be added to a waiting list. A phone call to the store revealed that you have NEVER had any vaccine and NONE of your Pharmacists have been told you were EVER going to be receiving any! We wasted precious time being loyal to our local pharmacy (you) and as a consequence are so far down the waiting list at other stores (Safeway, Costco, Save On, Rexall, etc) that our chances of getting vaccinated are almost ZERO! This is a disgrace. If you were not going to participate, why did you allow your stores to be listed? The Health Authority lists them all, the news media lists them as participating, but you aren't. What the heck is the matter with you?!

Desired outcome: An explanation for the terrible failure. [protected]@telus.net or [protected] Marie Decaire

Shoppers Drug Mart Pregvit folic 5 (prenatal vitamins)

My doctor send a prescription for prenatal vitamins to your pharmacy, I purchased the vitamins (3 sealed boxes) which were for the whole 9 monthes of pregnancy. I went less than 2 days later to return 2 boxes cause i had alredy almost finished my first trimester and plus I wanted to try if it will cause me stomach problems(which is something I usually suffer from during my pregnancies), the pharmacist refused to return it. Now2 weeks later, my doctor told me to discontinue those vitamins as they cause meto vomit after I take them, so I called your local pharmacy again and told them I want to return the 2 unopened boxes cause I can't take them anymore. They told me that they could have done that in the first few days after my purchase (which I already tried to do before).
Now I am left with these very expensive prenatal vitamins that are worth over 100 dollars and are of no use to me anymore. I am extremely frustrated because we are at difficult times now and we should not make things harder on each other. I hope that you can help me return those Sealed boxes and get my money back.
Looking forward to having this issue resolved as soon as possible

Suzanne Meshri

Desired outcome: Return of the pregvit folic 5

Shoppers Drug Mart Employee

Monday eve, I stopped in at Shoppers Drug Mart, located 5211 44 ST, Lloydminster, to buy my husbands inconstinant products & a couple of treats for us.
The young red head who served me never greeted me, I had to greet her. She wore a mask, we had a plexiglass divider between the 2 of us, and she kept standing back like I was carrying a plague, after bagging the items, the only thing she volunteered was, 'do you have an optimum card?', she stood away again as I scanned my card. I told her I was paying by debit. Once transaction was completed, I had to depart by saying 'Thank You, Have a nice night", not until then she hesitated in the Thank You, but she did say it.. as I turned around there was another customer, there, she proceeded to greet, with a friendly,"hello"..

The whole problem, I assume, I was not wearing a mask. I am an old enough woman to know, I have rights, my rights/ your rights are listed in the Canadian Charter of Rights & Freedoms.

I am also old enough to know, If I am sick, don't go out and make others sick...'common sense', do people have any of this left?

I normally do not go to this Shoppers location, once or twice previously, with never an issue such as the ignorance of this young lady. I would normally go to the 75 Ave location, never treated in this manner.

My suggestion, EDUCATE your staff! I have every right to be in that store no matter my belief.

As per The Charter of Rights and Freedoms:
"
2. Everyone has the following fundamental freedoms:

(a) freedom of conscience and religion;

(b) freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication;

(c) freedom of peaceful assembly; and

(d) freedom of association."

Desired outcome: Educate the staff on respect towards others

You think you have your rights. Then we all. You are not the only 1 to have rights. Then here we are all having difficult times trying to fight this virus that so sudden appeared in our lives. it is not ignorance as you seem to be so judgamental with the attendant but policies that she and all of us have to follow in the understanding that the wearing of a mask can help to prevent the spread of the virus. You seem to know much about your rights. however you must understand that you are a living individual who needs to breath in an exhale. By no wearing a mask you are exhaling particles of droplets coming from your system that suddenly can come too close to another individual who don't know if you have covid or not and suddenly before you know, you could be the cause of the spread of the virus. All what is happening now with this stubborn virus doesn't need anyone to read our rights, but our full cooperation from all of us on the planet to do whatever is necessary to avoid the spread of this virus. A mask will not stop it but it will help a lot to breath in a more particular way so you are to keep your droplets to yourself avoiding to spread it to others. Educate yourself and cooperate in the best way you can instead thinking in judging others

Shoppers Drug Mart Customer Service

1200 St. Laurent BLVD location Ottawa, ON

The customer service has gotten poor here. There's a woman who works at this location (tall, black, and long wavy black fake hair). She's the most evil and arrogant person to ever work here. If you complain about an employee's customer service skills, the manager (or whoever says they are the manager) will defend their poor behavior because they (apparently) tell their employees it doesn't matter how you treat people. Like I said, they'll hire anyone with a pulse. Avoid this location like the plague.

Shoppers Drug Mart Strivectin skincare products

This product is dangerous to sell without a doctor's prescription to unsuspecting people and Shoppers should stop selling it. I bought the Strivectin trio and the moisturizer at Shoppers Drug Mart at Winston Churchill at the suggestion of the sales person there and used it for four days which left me looking 10 years older with deep wrinkles, puffy and red face, drooped eye lid and an on going headache. I stopped using it and looked into the reviews to see that many people experienced extreme side effects from this brand, some of which are permanent!
Shoppers should either stop selling this brand or train their sales people to caution the buyers/put warning signs. Why are we allowed to buy this product over the counter with absolutely no warning?

Shoppers Drug Mart Staff.

The supervisor didn't believe the story that I was telling him and went to check the information on the camera. When he return and approached me, he realized I was telling the truth, but his ego along with his authoritarian action was damage. This is where the situation could have taken a dangerous turn he proceeded to cool an individual by the name of Mark I don't have the surname but I know they were in the store room of this particular shoppers.

He approached me saying who is shouting and then there was a string of cuss words with an aggression almost as if he wanted to fight. You can check the cameras to confirm. That particular individual Mark and also the lady that was at the time with both incredibly rude and should not be working or they should be severely reprimanded on how they treat customer.

I realize that we in stressful times, however I don't believe that these individuals should be serving or participating in the current roles. Especially the individual called Mark the number of curse words that he used I can't even put in this email. I can tell you is this description, light-skinned possibly 6FT.2 pockmarked face. How to put a security guard who approached us originally he was a large black individual. The security supervisor was South Asian, possibly Indian or Pakistani descent.

The young lady behind the till she was Caucasian possibly 5.1 she told me to shut up.

I'm not looking for any form of compensation, I just want these individuals reprimanded, because I don't believe that that good for business or customer service.

Desired outcome: Reprimanded

To Whom it May Concern, Months after the incident, I finally have the courage to make this complaint against one of your despicable, insensitive and inappropriate employees.  This employee's comments were so rude and so vulgar that I wasn't sure how to begin writing this. Shoppers Drug Mart Outgoing air covid test

Shoppers Drug Mart is providing outgoing COVID-19 tests for people that need to fly. But all the stores giving the tests are in the Toronto area or western Ontario (Kitchner etc). I am in Kingston and need this test. The closest Shoppers to me is in Whitby. Why should I have to drive two hours each way to get this test two days before I fly? By this limiting of stores that give the test Shoppers is showing that it considers residents in this area too stupid or too poor to need to fly.

Desired outcome: Create Shoppers Drug Marts that give the outgoing covid test in eastern Canada

Shoppers Drug Mart Gift card

I purchased a "David's Tea" gift card loaded with $50.00 as a Christmas present for my daughter.
She is no longer able to tolerate tea.
I took it back to exchange for another gift card and was told they couldn't do it. I had asked for a refund so I could purchase a different card.
I said you must, I paid "cash" for it, used credit card but it amounts to the same thing.
She advised basically that it goes without saying that gift cards cannot be returned. I asked where it states that, she said on-line.
I said if there's no sign in store they cannot enforce this and I stand by it.
Why can it not be returned? I'm sure Shoppers can return it to the establishment for full refund or am I mistaken?
I dealt with Yasmin who claimed to be the manager although I've never seen her before in all the years I've been a customer at that store* - since it was built.
Yasmin was also very rude about the whole thing, treating me like I was an idiot, which of course riled me further.
I had her write her name down for me - she wrote down the number 1800 beside it, store # perhaps?
*9651 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill, On L4C 1V7
I've never had such an issue with any of the staff at this store (or any other for that matter).
I'm quite upset about the situation and would like it rectified.

Richmond Hill, On L4C 8J1

P.S.
I had took back another item within 2 days and after I tapped my card for the refund she asked to see the card.
I've never had to do this before, is there a reason?

Desired outcome: Money back - I purchased a different gift card for my daughter - also teach the manager how to interact with customers.

Shoppers Drug Mart Sexist email flyer

Shoppers sent an email titled "Choose kindness. Choose caring." which ironically contained the least kind, least caring messaging I've seen in a very long time.

First, it says "Put women's health first." First ahead of whom else? Men? Non-binary? That is terribly sexist. If you want to promote women's health issues, that's great. But they aren't any more important than anybody else's health. That female superiority, not equality.

Second, the program is only to raise donations to help women impacted by homelessness. Homelessness does not have a gender, and if it did it would be male. 73% of homeless people are men.

So you've taken a topic for which there is no reason to divide ny gender -- you can help all homeless people regardless of gender -- decide to genderize it, and do so to help the smaller number of homless people.

The message is loud and clear; Shoppers Drug Mart doesn't give a damn about the health or suffering of men. You literally describe men's health as second rate, and ignore the vast majority of suffering homeless because of their gender.

You are bigots. You've lost a customer.
