Dear Security Bank Complaints Board,
I am writing to formally raise a concern regarding my Security Bank Credit Card. Despite not using my card, I received a text message from (0951) 2838817 on April 21 regarding penalties. Initially, I suspected it was a scam, as I have never used my Security Bank credit card. However, after receiving another message on April 23, I decided to check my mobile app. To my surprise, I found that an annual fee had been charged in December 2024, which has since accumulated additional fees and penalties.
I contacted Security Bank collections about this matter, but I was informed that my account is now handled by their third-party agency, SP Madrid. When I reached out to SP Madrid, they insisted on payment, despite my explanation that the charges stem from an annual fee rather than any transactions on my part.
I am open to using my card if necessary, but I cannot justify paying for charges incurred purely due to an annual fee on an unused account. Unfortunately, neither Security Bank collections nor SP Madrid has provided me with a resolution.
I would appreciate any assistance in resolving this issue. Please let me know how we can move forward.
