We paid £129 for delivery and assembly, which unfortunately turned out to be a complete waste of money. From the moment the delivery drivers arrived, they made it clear they were more interested in finishing quickly so they could get to the pub than actually doing the job properly.
They failed to correctly assemble the sofas and, instead of telling us there was an issue, simply pushed the sections together and left. They also fitted the backs of the sofas incorrectly, leaving noticeable gaps between the cushions. As the drivers were leaving, my husband tested the recliner and the sofas immediately came apart. He had to chase after the delivery drivers, only to be told there was nothing they could do about it.
We then went to the ScS store for help, only to be told they couldn’t assist because they “just sell the sofas” and don’t handle aftercare. That was incredibly frustrating, especially after spending so much money.
We then had to wait THREE WEEKS for an engineer to come out, during which time we were unable to use the sofas at all. The engineer himself was excellent and spent several hours fixing everything the delivery team had either failed to do or done incorrectly. He was the only positive part of this experience.
Despite all of this, the aftersales team have refused to refund the delivery and assembly fee, which is outrageous considering the service we received. The sales staff were fine, but the aftersales support has been absolutely shocking. I would strongly avoid purchasing from this company unless you want to deal with terrible customer service once they have your money.
