My daughter, a professional hairstylist, did not want to give her driver's license information when filling out a form to get a discount card. The clerk, a large black woman, chased her out to her car demanding the card and discount be returned. My daughter was afraid and returned to the store. She also asked to speak to the owner and was never given the opportunity.

This is no way to run any business. Taking personal information like a driver's license # is especially troubling. The only purpose I can see is fraud.

As of working at Sally, I can tell you that your license is used to verify your identity. There is no fraud going on within the company and shouldn't be with the employees. If she's a cosmetologist and she has a license, we have to make sure the card is up to date and that her license is as well. If not, anyone could just waltz in and use anyone's license for the fact of getting a discount. The card is free and it's just protecting the company.
