Passport expediting service
If international travel is in your future and you need expedited service to obtain or renew your passport, I strongly suggest you consider going directly to the Dept of State or use a vendor OTHER THAN Russmypassport.com - a passport expediting firm that is engaging in shady business practices. THis company is unilaterally changing the terms/conditions of service after payment is made and received; fails to retain records of its conversations with customers who have contracted for their services as well as other appropriate records necessary to discuss the contract, and fails to deliver passports on time as promised. I will miss participating in a group tour because of this firm's wrongful conduct - despite the many phone calls to and assurances from the Customer Services Reps that I would have my passport on time.
I have complained to my elected officials in Washington, DC.
Passport
As most people with extremely limited time to obtain a passport, I contacted RushMyPassport.Com based on their length of time in business and presumed experience in the field. I submitted all the documents listed in the checklist they provide in order to process the application to renew a passport. I paid them a total sum of $493.00 to engage their services and renew my mother's passport, as she had to travel on an emergency basis to keep a relative on his deathbed company.
Clearly, I would not have tendered this rather large sum so trustingly unless I had been repeatedly assured by their Customer Service Reps that, upon timely submission of all the items on the checklist that they provided, I would be able to have my mother's passport no later than Saturday as my mother is traveling on Sunday. All the required documents were submitted timely trusting that, based on their length of time in business and the fact that renewing a passport is such an ordinary task, particularly for them given the experience that they represent to have, there would be no delays.
Today, Friday, the last business day before travel, I was sent an email, very late in the day, advising me that the State Dept. would require additional documents before processing the application, not provided for on their checklist and further stating that I would not be able to obtain my mother's passport on or before the day of travel. As a result, she has had to cancel her trip, miss her last chance to see a very close relative on his deathbed, lose the money that she spent on her airfare, and, according to Mr. Altman who represented himself as the owner/supervisor lose the $493.00 paid to them in order to provide a service which the company's CSRs eagerly assured me that they could. Mr. Altman further stated that I am not entitled to any refunds, as he has 'the last word on the matter'. Mr. Altman repeatedly emphasized that the business relationship into which I entered with Expedited Travel, can be best described as, and I am paraphrasing, 'buyer beware' and that I should have known better than to expect what the company's CSRs promised over the phone from the outset.
These truly are the worst sort of people, not because of the unforeseen delays that dealing with any bureaucracy entails but because of the either ignorant or malicious misrepresentation on the part of their CSRs as to what could be accomplished, and mostly because of Mr. Altman's, who should actually know better, lack of empathy, customer service skills, and even common decency when dealing with a client in such difficult circumstances.
Buyer Beware Indeed!
Did not receive passport and could not get refund
Do not. Please do not use this RushMyPassport.com service over the internet. They are nothing but rip-off artists. I needed a passport to go to Greece. I tried for a month to get one from Rush My Passport. Not able to do it and all they wanted to do was to keep charging me more and more and more for each little service because of one delay after another. When I finally gave up and went to Legal Passport, I could not get a refund from RUSH MY PASSPORT. They refused to work with me in a timely manner and they refused to refund the money they charged me in spite of the fact that I was unable to get a passport from them.
Fortunately, I was able to get a passport from Legal Passport in a week and was able to travel to Greece. I am enjoying the beach but am still extremely miffed over the incident with RushMyPassport.com.
The date of the incident: March 18, 2016
Client/Order Number: 469482
Resolution desired: I would like my $198.80 refunded to my account. I was not given the passport service I paid for and had to go elsewhere to obtain a passport.
I will never recommend anyone use RUSH MY PASSPORT for any reason. Please go somewhere else.
Money commingling conversion
Rushmypassport.com will lie and cheat you out of your money $250 rush fee and processing fee, and not provide ur passport or any services on the designated day all has agreed. Nobody will call you or text you, no one... An addition they ask you to put a money order or pay with a card in there for the amount of $270 for the actual passport agency - embassy fee. And for any meter you wont use there service. They will hold full amount of rush fee and also commingle - convert embassy fees to there account also! So you wont get nothing!
All the positive reviews are were posted by employees of the rushmypassport it's very clear to me.
Processing and refund
Rush my pas port is a total scam. You do all of the leg work to get your pas port completed. So if you don't have time to go to the post office and process your pas port guess what? You can't get your pas port period! Rush my pas port also does not do refunds! If you don't cancel your order in less the 24 hours you will NEVER see your money again.
I went down to the post office months later and they processed my pas-port and had it in my hand in less then 3 weeks.
This service is a total rip off!
Poor Service
I submitted a rush order for a new passport on March 8 and submitted all documentation the following week. They informed me that they needed additional info which I Fed Ex'd on April 3. I received a confirmation from Fed Ex that the docs were submitted on April 4 and an e-mail from Rush My Passport that my documents were received. I also received a voicemail that my passport was being processed. Today it is April 16, and I still have not received my passport. I called Rush My Passport and the representative stated that they have not received my documents. Their company confirmed receipt themselves! My trip is coming soon and I am not happy with the service from Rush My Passport. It's not worth it.
Fraud
This company is a complete scam. They prey on people in their time of panic and need and then fail to deliver. The reviews posted on here are laughable...obviously internal posts to make you comfortable before you fall for their scam. Could they look any more like advertisements? (Go ahead and click on any of the 5 star reviewer names and see how they all have done 1 review each...that just proves what kind of ###s the people at this hack of a company are) Unlike these folks, I'll gladly talk to anyone about my awful experience with this fraud of a company. Feel free to comment back with your questions and I will respond.
The website promises next day fulfillment of a passport request. Once they get your money they have you and will not provide you with good service. You will receive an automated form with a stack of documents to fill out and FedEx to them. The best they could then do is receive them, obtain your passport the next day and then overnight them back to you, meaning that the best case scenario for you possibly getting your passport is 2 days. This is if your calls and e-mails were not ignored. Also, keep in mind that all they do is stand in line for you at the US Passport office, which is not open on weekends. They do not mention this to you until after you get paid. You will not get your passport when you need it and you will not get a refund. Do not fall for it like I did!
Best part? You do not need them! Their service, even if they did it well, is nothing you could not do yourself. Get your documents and ID together and get to the nearest regional US Passport agency (be sure to call and make an appointment). Calling the US Passport authority is very helpful and they have all their documents online. They also don't charge you $375 on top of the $200 you would owe the passport agency. Do not fall for them!

Interesting clown show. This company is advertised by AAA in a travel broshure, thereby given them a reputable position. I order an expedited passport, paid the $137 fee, however the questionire they required to process had one question that did not pertain to me (name change info). There was no box to check that it did not pertain to my app. I did make a comment regarding this fact in their message box and asked for clairfaction. I have done this 3 times. No response. I also request a refund, as I see not way to proceed. Tried to reach them on the phone but was put on hold for 45 min. If rush my passport reads this, lets chat at [protected].
I paid the fee on line for the service but found I did not need a passport for travel. I never received any information about not receiving a refund should I change my mind about the passport prior to paying. I asked the same day for a refund and was told there were no refunds. They provided no service for me. NONE> I simply found out a passport was not necessary AFTER hitting send. I want my money back and I'm hiring an attorney.
RUSHMYPASSPORT.com will LIE and CHEAT you out of ur money and NOT provide ur passport on the designated day all has agreed apon. ALSO they ask you to put a money order in there for the amount of $170 for the actual passport agency, BUT dont tell you that you have to SIGN the back of it, thus far charging you an additional $170...My flight back HOME was for April 1st...my NEW passport was issued on MARCH 29...and just now received it 2 weeks after the promised date... I missed my flight, my job had already received my 2 week notice that I couldn't take back, so my job is gone too, lost my place to live because i had lost my job to pay for it...Lets total up what I paid for this misfortune... $280 expedite fee $170 money order ANOTHER $170 charged on my card TOTAL of $620 to ruin EVERYTHING ! theres just some people you dont mess with...and I'm one of those few
This company took my son who is in the Navy and on a ship... money, will not answer phone, will not return his call. Do Not USe them it is a RIPOFF!
My
Son is in the Navy, he sent them money, received no passport, cannot talk to noone because you have to leave message on voicemail and they NEVER, call you back, . This is TOTALLY A RIP OFF... DO NOT SEND YOUR MONEY TO THEM...
I am a lawyer and requested Rushmypassport.com provide 24 hour service. All paperwrok was submitted timely and FedEx got to them around 9:30am the morning processing needed to take place. Its processor left before 9:30am and it would not send my package over to process. My processing agent appologized and told me I wouldn't be charged, meanwhile it charged me and when I disputed the charge with my credit card company stated that I received my passport therefore the charge was appropriate. Even after calling the agent and him confirming I would not be charged it refused to issue a refund. I am looking for others who have had a similar experience with this company. Please email me at EAF@kulzerdipadova.com if you have had a similar experience. I want justice!
This company is pure scam after following their steps.
Went to acceptance facility center and requested the documents to be send to this company. The agent refused because had no authorization to do so.Than they called the facility center management which told me the same thing. I called my RushMyPassport.com agent many times and he never picked up.But nevertheless they charged me 350 for a service that they didn't finish nor do nothing. After filling a dispute with my bank the agent from RushMyPassport.com said he has called me and emailed yet that the worst of justification no email is send to me and I have proof of all my email. they also said the number was out which was obviously untrue. This company is a joke save your money. The post office / facility center does not approve them to handle the process which is done by the state, so it pretty much useless, unless the post office will allow them which didn't happen in my case and this company didn't help me either to justify their business to the post office. They are a total joke.
I'm filing a dispute also a complain to BBB.
I just used this service (May 2012), and was very happy with it. Everything was spelled out ahead of time, so I knew exactly what I was purchasing and what was expected. I spoke with the rep on the phone, going over the document checklist to make sure I had everything together before I sent it via FedEx, so that the process remained streamlined and fast. I received my passport within just a few days, as promised. I am not near a regional passport agency; for me to make such a trip in person would have cost me more than the fee I paid to RushMyPassport. I would use the service again.
It clearly states on the website when you must be departing and you must speak with a case manager before going forward so you are aware of when you get the passport. You can cancel at that point if you don't want to go forward, something is wrong with this person. This person assumes everyone is near a regional passport agency and can just "do it themselves". This person does not read instructions or pay attention to direction and should not be out on the internet entering credit card information until fully aware of what he is doing. Go look at the website for yourself.
No Service/No Refund
I was supposed to travel for business unexpectedly and needed a passport right away (I had lost mine). I was told over the phone and online that they would have no probem fulfilling the request. They cahrged my card and then a few days later told me that they could not get the passport to me in time for my travel. I had to make an appointment with the state office and get my passport through them - Which proved to be a much easier process (believe it or not). I asked to have the money refunded and they told me that because I did not cancel the service within three days they did not have to give the money back. I found this excuse very interesting as I was not told that the service couldn't be fulfilled until after the three days.

After writing this report I was contacted by the http://rushmypassport.com staff. They took the time to explain the service in its entirety as well as explain the reasoning for the return policy being so limited. I was pleased with the attention to my concern and the outcome of the call which resulted in a refund to my account. I thank http://rushmypassport.com for their prompt attention and resolution to my problem.

Did not get the service I paid for
I recently applied for a passport through rushmypassport.com on Thursday 07/01/10. I paid for the 3-4 business day service and now I'm being told that my passport won't be ready until Monday 07/12/10. This service is a complete SCAM! No one and I say No one should use this service. There is no outlet such that allows you to be able to obtain a refund either. So whatever monies you paid for the services you were to receive, you are out of. COMPLETE UTTER SCAM!
Read this, please - a fair review of a great service
It seems to be human nature, to only complain, so I thought it only fair to post a good experience with this company, that my wife and I just had.
Here's our story: On the President's Day weekend of 2010 (just last weekend, as I write this), we discovered that my wife's passport was expired. At that time, there were only 10 days until we had to travel to the Bahamas. The expedited service through the USPS was two to three weeks, according to the Department of State website. It was Saturday morning and we scrambled to see what our alternatives were and I Googled "passport expediting services". The first one that came up was RushMyPassport.com. We immediately jumped in to the process, as the website seemed well designed and legitimate. We filled out the online forms, got our ducks in a row at home, and waited for a call from an agent (as promised on the website). We didn't hear from anyone for 2 days and on Monday we called. The operator said they were closed because of President's Day (which made sense, as I, too, was off work) and to expect a call the next day. Honestly, I started to get concerned, as I then Googled the site's name, again, but this time with "reviews" after it. I read some bad ones... BUT - come Tuesday, an agent from the company, Kyle Cloud, called my wife and started the ball rolling. He sent us an email with the check-list and the authorization letter (to allow RushMyPassport.com to work on our behalf). He then sent a FedEx label, via email. He carefully walked my wife through all the steps and double and triple checked that we had everything in the envelope. Here is what he stressed the most, after that - YOU MUST send the FedEx, when you are directed to, as they have a limited amount of spots, each day, to get in front of the proper folks to get this done. We had everything sewn up, on our end...and FedExed the envelope when and as directed. Kyle called on Wednesday to confirm he had received the documents and everything was in order. He did say that there would be a one day delay, because of the volume of business they had. As such, he would be refunding us $50, as we paid for the next day air option and it would now be two days. We asked if we could switch delivery to Saturday for a little extra. He checked, and asked if we were OK with $25 refunded, rather than $50, due to the extra charge from FedEx for Saturday delivery. We agreed that would be fine, as we would only be a few days away from our trip and just wanted to get the documents in hand. So...on Saturday...9:30 AM, the FedEx truck pulled up, in front of our house...and there was the envelope with my wife's new passport. This was TOTALLY WORTH THE MONEY. It was a great service and they did EVERYTHING they said they would. Here's where I think a disconnect can happen, which can lead to disgruntled customers (which would not be the fault of the service). You can not have incorrect information, a damaged passport or any other problems that would cause the service not to work, due to things that would cause governmental delays. It is clearly laid out on the site what the requirements are. You can't fault the company for having guidelines...and let's face it...many people fail to read what they need to. And, in regard to faulting a company for wanting to make money...that's what they're there for. They're a business. Anyway - the net of it is that if you have your stuff together, these folks can be trusted and it's a great service. I highly recommend it!

Even if this comment is legitimate, it still sounds ridiculous. First, he starts off by immediately saying RushMyPassport took two days to reply. BOOM, lost my business. The point of this site is how quickly they can expedite your passport. Then, by listing what happened on each day, he makes it sound like he was willing to pay more to have the passport delivered *later* rather than sooner, despite saying they were eager to have the documents in hand. You know, MrBrightSide, maybe you were right, after all!
Obviously made by one of the low lifes that works for RushMyPassport.com. Nice try, fraud!
Passport
***INCREDIBLE*** It is absolutely incredible how a this company Rushmypassport.com is getting so much bad “press”. I just HAD to post a message because I am very much like many people who are checking out the company and doing some due diligence on the company to find out if I made a mistake or if I should look for another company to try and get my passport expedited. I can tell you that I am just a guy who was lucky enough to get invited to a company trip that is going out of country. I hadn’t been out of country in a while; knew my passport was expired; & up until that point in time had no reason to worry about getting it renewed. My problem was that my company trip was taking place within 4 weeks. I knew from experience it could take anywhere from 3 – 8 weeks & as you can imagine wanted to leave nothing to chance. Long story short… I did a search for “rush & passport” something someone had told me about (someone who had been waiting for over 4 weeks to receive theirs) and I saw www.rushmypassport.com with all the same accolades mentioned is some of the complaints (CNN; MSNBC; Forbes) I did find the company mentioned on each of those sites; which helped to reassure me. Honestly I almost made the decision to cancel because of reading all of the negative comments and complaints about them. I CAN TELL YOU NOW… I AM SO GLAD THAT I DID NOT CANCEL. Friday night I started the process by filling out the information with the company online; read all the crap over the next couple of days. Placed a call into the company on Monday only to find out my “case worker” was out of the office until late that afternoon; as you can imagine I began to freak out again. I left RJ a couple of messages on how to reach me and went to the bar to grab a cocktail and try to just relax and calm my nerves. I got a call from RJ right about 45 minutes or so after he had mentioned on his voicemail he would be back in the office. That was my first sense of relief. He had sent me the paperwork “checklist” & Fed Ex Label etc. Talked me through the requirements (Preliminary Itinerary within the next 14 days; duplicate copies of the necessary documents etc.); from that point on it was absolutely smooth sailing. Took my passport photos on Tuesday; took my documents to the Post Office to have sealed by a State Agent. Took the sealed package to the Fed Ex Office; mailed it out and crossed my fingers… That was Tuesday; on Friday the package was at my door. I HAVE MY PASSPORT! I paid for 5 – 7 day service; got it in 4 days! I truly; whole heartedly recommend this company. So much so that I will go onto every site that I read a bad review on and post a meassage letting everyone know the company is absolutely Good To Go! Coming from a Former Marine with Integrity; not an agent of the company or the owner of the company or anyone with any vested interest whatsoever in the company

Paid 350 dollars for 24 hour service. Placed the order on Tuesday and it was supposed to arrive at my workplace today (Friday). It did not. Now they are saying that it should be in tomorrow (Saturday)...well my workplace is closed tomorrow so why did I pay for the 24 hour service? Now i have to wait until Monday. Waiting for a resolution.
We get it. you had good experience. But here I am waiting for my passport and it is still not here and I paid for the 24 hour service. We can only go by what our own experiences have been. So should we lied about our experiences just because you had a good one?
Nightmare
This company is a nightmare! They took $350 from me, made lots of promises, and then didn't deliver! They refused to respond to phone calls, messages, faxes. I suspect they are running an identity theft program.
Do not use them! They claim to have been written up in lots of publications, and their website was enough to entice me, but once you try to go to those publications and search for them, you'll realize (as I did too late) that they never were written up in any positive way.
Just do a search for 'rushmypassport' and fraud, and you'll find the truth.
Basically, I'd recommend calling the Passport Agency and making your own appointment. Even if there's not one in your city, it's worth the drive.
Don't make the mistake I did!

Well considering that most people do not live near enough to a regional center or have enough time to stand in line for 8 hours to get a passport when then can pay a company to do it for them, your advise is vague and misleading.
Also, falsely accusing people of crime used to be a crime in itself.
You can also find truth in nazi moon bases, reptilian extra-terrestrials and plenty of other conspiracy theories on the internet.
You probably failed to follow instructions, failed to read the terms of service you agreed to and most likely irritated and annoyed the employs that were trying to help the customers who knew what they were doing and competent enough to complete the paperwork as directed.
You should be ashamed of yourself and admit that it was your fault so you can grow.
You are an entitled, ignorant and misinformed consumer and no business deserves customers like you.
I propose a consumer complaint forum where businesses can post warnings to other businesses about customers who curse and scream and refuse to follow direction, read instructions or pay attention to the world around them and expect everyone to do stuff for them that they should be doing themselves. This way they can be blocked from using services in which customer participation and competence is required.
Unethical business practices
I contacted a merchant that advertises for you: "rushmypassport.com" or "expeditedtravel.com". They provide passport services. Their website has you fill out a form with basic information then they immediately charge you their fee. Only after they charge do they provide information about the requirements to obtain or renew a passport. I was looking to renew a passport for my 15 yr old and immediately after I payed I sent an email to cancel because I realize I was lacking a necessary form. The company kept a $50 cancellation fee. My point is that they never initiated a service since I never mailed the forms and passport for them to provide the service and that they only disclosed the requirements after they collected the money. Their position is that I should have known the requirements before I even came to their website and that is my fault I cannot comply and that they are charging a cancellation fee although the service was never initiated.
Their practices may be illegal and if not they are highly unethical. Their website advertises that they have been featured by you. Such an unethical company should not be listed and recommended by a trusted site like yours.
Such unethical business practices should be investigated. The INTERNET opens the door to unethical business practices, this would never happen in person.

I had the same experience with them. After I filled out the basic information about my daughter's passport application, they charged me before providing me the detailed requirement. I called the service right away. The so called passport specialist was very rude and told me that he could not do anything. I have to wait till the weekday to cancel my order. When I contacted them and received the refund form later during the weekday, the email said I was not qualified for the refund because I have already spoken with their passport specialist and agreed the service fee was non-refundable. "The fee we charge is for the expediting reservation that we hold on your behalf. Due to the limited number of available reservations, we were not able to accommodate another customer's request for that day." It is ridiculous because I called to cancel immediately and there was no service provided at all. I have to ask my credit card company to dispute the charge.
We were told that our payment to RushMyPassport would be refunded because in our particular case an expediter could NOT be used. Three months later--still NO REFUND. These people have cheated me, and I assume numerous others, out of $250+. I'm surprised that more recent comments than 2009 have not appeared here.
I applied for a visa and only after I paid the fee did I find out that I needed firefox on my computer. The "helper" that called me said that was a requirement of the Nigerian Embassy. Funny thing, I was able to get the visa thru another company without firefox.
When I asked to cancel, they said i was too late and that the 24 hour cancellation notice is all over their web site-WHICH IT IS NOT! Then the had the nerve to say that they could not refund because they make a reservation for expedited visas with the department of state and if someone passes, they lose that business. They said they have a limit. I called the department of state and they said that was absolutely not true.
When I complained to American Express regarding the charge, they said they would contact them and try to get a refund. These people actually lied about the details of what happened. Unbelievable. The only publicity they should get is how big a fraud they are.
I recently used rushmypassport and they took $350 from me and did not deliver a passport! This company is a nightmare. If you do a Google search for rushmypassport and fraud, you'll see what I mean. I wish I'd done that first! Definitely go to a passport office if it's at all possible! Just call for an appointment first. Even if you have to drive 5 hours to get there, at least you won't be handing over all your confidential information to a fraudulent agency that can use it for identity theft. And you'll get your passport on the spot! I would cancel a trip before using rushmypassport...
Good luck.
Any company performing any form of business should have a code of conduct to adhere to. Unfortunatley with your experience this company seemed to lack that. It is too easy for online businesses to take advantage of the consumer, and it is unpleasant for me to say this I'm sure that you have learned your lesson when trusting online compaines. But in all seriousness any company that treats its customer with such disregard should be exsposed. So thank you for taking to place your complaint because it has allowed to make a desicion in trusting my valuable documents and hard earned money with their corporation.
Credit Card Charged and No Passport
I googled to renew my passport on line. I went to Rush My Passport and everything looked legitimate and the fees reasonable so I proceeded with my passport renewal. I followed all the prompts, provided credit card information and then I was sent to the final step to download the pdf forms and to provide authorization to the company to expedite my passport processing. No such authorization was provided, but my credit card was charged $159.99, higher fees than indicated on their website. I made a dozen phone calls and close to dozen emails concerning my charges without a finalized application for the passport renewal. I was provided with a runaway and a refund form. By the time they finally got back with me regarding the refund, it was past their refund policy! No refund was provided and no passport was renewed! I wish that I had done more research on this company prior to proceeding, but I never authorized them to process my application and to charge my card, but they did anyhow. This is a total SCAM! Do not use Rush My Passport! Go directly through the State Department, plus it is less costly
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
How did this business get my cell number or even know that I applied for a passport? That seems really bad, right? Someone supplied this business with some level of information from my passport application. How much information was shared? Just my cell number or all of it including social security number, birth date, and copies of my drivers license and birth certificate?
Craig S. Anderson DS-82 application is Passport renewal not a new passport application. And I would tend to believe some of the complaints are valid. In retrospect my argument is when people expose personal identity information during the processes required in using rushmypassport services a third party liaison, is considerably more risky than dealing directly with USPS and U.S. Department of State. I would be cautious for that reason in the future when entering into processes that extensive personal information must be exposed in order to obtain services from a company. Because most Businesses don't have the same Cyber-security requirements or capabilities as the Government possesses nor the Cyber-security measures in place to ensure personal identity information is secure. I have had my personal identity information compromised in the past, and I am not thrilled about any further breaches.
Add me to the list of consumers who have been scammed. What a total shame this has been going on for 6 years! Everyone with the same story. They charged my credit card and never provided a service. Buyer beware! This company is terrible! I ordered online 20 days before my cruise and paid for the 10-12 day service. I was told by the passport agency that I needed to wait until less then 14 days for my appointment. I called Rush My Passport 12 days before my cruise for their paperwork and was told I needed to pay more money. I immediately told them that I wanted to cancel their services and faxed a cancellation request. I was informed by their company that I only had 3 days to cancel my order and they would not be refunding my money. They kept $200 for a service they did not provide!
I got no contact from my case manager other then the initial call to verify and send documents. I had to call multiple times to check the status of my order. I asked for expedited service and didn't receive it. nor did i get a refund when asked. I got attitude.thank you for finally delivering my passport. its just a week+ late and you took no effort due to weather problems to actually expedite my passport.
I will not EVER recommend this company to anyone whom needs a passport in a hurry! I paid my money, had to do all the leg work and then when I found out that the post office can deliver in the same time they were going to they kept my money. Fine, I will let others know of their practices and that YOU do the work and not them, they are ripoffs!
DO NOT USE Rush My Passport! This is the worst experience I have ever had in my life! I had to cancel my flight because they made a mistake rushing my passport. To top it off, they tried to blame me that it was my fault. They even threatened me saying that all their calls are recorded. So when I asked them to provide me the recording because I knew exactly what I said and that their Solutions Manager, Charine Julmiste was lying, the rep on the call back-pedaled. I waste time, energy and money fixing their problem.
Anybody considering this company should seriously reconsider. First off, according to the public records the company is headquartered in Florida not D.C.

Nobody seems to know who this person is and after contacting the passport agency, there are some questions as to whether or not this person is even a registered courier.
I am awaiting calls back from the Washington D.C. agency as they are looking into this matter for us.
I encourage you to also look into this company and person before entrusting your passport with them... this is who I contacted at the Washington Passport Agency:

FBDavid is wrong about the link to the US State Department. Yes there are links and that is one of them. That is the connection to associate the expediter to the government. You fill in the DS-82 from the State Dept, download the resulting pdf with barcodes, print it and overnight ship to 'rushmypassport'.
Sure, none of this is cheap, but it isn't hidden information either. They were helpful and businesslike (seemed to want to move things along quickly. Not rude about it, but it is an EXPEDITING SERVICE).
I had no problem with Rush My Passport . I paid my money and followed the steps e-mailed to me talked to my case worker Tosha and she helped me with every step. I got my passport with in 7 days and was very happy with the service.

I also had a negative experience. I accidentally told them I needed to renew my passport when in fact I had lost it and needed a new one. While this mistake was mine, I did tell them the correction on the phone the very next day. However, even though they were made aware of the updated information, they still sent me the wrong package and wrong set of instructions. By the time that a representative caught the mistake, it was too late to get a passport. (They offered to charge me for next day service but couldn't guarantee that I would actually get the passport on time). I declined and didn't get my passport from them. I think as a reputable company, the bottom line is that if I do not get the product or service, then I shouldn't be charged. The refund policy, I agree, is a scam. It is so hard to find refund information on their site, and the representatives on the phone are purposely vague. I'm still fighting for a refund, but they are giving me the runaround.
I do agree that this is a good company if you know exactly what you need. However, with things that people only apply for once every 10 years, they should expect that many consumers aren't sure exactly what they need. My opinion is that there should be more of a margin for error on the consumer part, or they should be more willing to give refunds.
Took my money, did not provide service
I needed a passport, so I filled out an online order form from Expedited Travel to purchase a service to "expedite" applying for a passport. I purchased this service in JUNE 2008. My trip was not until OCTOBER 2008. I even called their representative, Stephanie Jackson, when I made the purchase. I told her my trip was October. She NEVER told me that I did...

the website did not say you needed a destination
in order to obtain a passport thru them. I tried
to get out of the site, but they took my money. The next day customer service said that they would
send me a refund form. If you don't send this back
within 72 hours, they keep all the money. Luckily
I went to the library the next day. Once you fill
the form out you have to fax it to them. They
took $50 dollars from me. They said I filled out
many boxes. I SURE DID, TRYING TO GET OUT
OF THIS RIP OFF SITE! THEY ARE UNETHICAL.
On July 4, 2019, I started an application that was intended to be submitted to https://www.rushmypassport.com/ . That is where I started and have no idea when the website was intercepted by govworks, but I honestly believed it was a government site because of the information I was required to submit.
1. I saved a snippet of the page: The banner says "rushmypassport.com". And the phone number on the banner is for rushmypassport.com
2. But, the URL says, Govworks.com. This is not user error, but a false redirection by their technology. It is clearly false advertising.
3. The phone number on the banner goes to Rushmy passport.com and they were unable to assist, and gave me a number to call govworks. I was told there is an issue with govworks intercepting their website.
4. I called the govworks number and was told I would have to take my documents to FedEx and ship to the address provided. The address provided is a P. O. Box. [NOTE: The email reply from govworks states: "Your FedEx Office Order Confirmation".] I went to FedEx and they said "We don't ship to P.O. Boxes", you will have to go to the Post Office. (All of the information on govworks directs users to FedEx.)
5. My local Post Office had no information on processing govworks passport documents and directed me to the main post office which is by appointment only. That's when I discovered I can renew my passport for $119.00 vs the $213 paid to govworks.
6. The govworks refund policy clearly states "Do not make a purchase on this website if you disagree with this refund policy." In order to see the refund policy, I had to Google: govworks.com + refund policy. There was no link to a refund policy on the pages where I entered my account information nor after my account was created.
7. Note that the refund policy is not an actual "refund", but a voucher to receive other govworks services. "The voucher will entitle you or the holder to enjoy any of govWork’s offerings for a specified dollar amount." https://www.govworks.com/terms
8. Please see the multiple complaints on the Better Business Page.
I did not knowingly submit my request to govworks.com courier services. It was done as a result of a website redirection.
I have requested a refund and hope they will honor my request.
SCAM! Do Not Use! Offered $300 refund for $546 purchase that I never used. Dont enter your credit card information period. Go to your local passport office and get it in 24 hours
On April 13, 2017 I applied for an expedited passport because I thought that I would need it in a hurry because I was traveling two months later. I realized after I paid the $128 that I probably didn't need it expedited after all and tried to cancel and get a refund. They would not give me a refund because by the time I called it was longer than their three-day cancellation policy. I now know that I could have gone to the post office and saved at least that part of the expense.
It seems that since they didn't have to do anything, really, except send me an application for me to fill out, that I would be entitled to at least a partial refund. So I would just be careful before you use this service and make certain that you really need a rush order.
they are a mother###ers they charge two times 208 dlls help to demand this company
I realized on a day I was to leave on vacation that my passport had expired. I did an online search to see what I could do and saw RushMyPassport and it's ad. I filled out the paperwork, got a call from the company, and was told that I would not get my passport within 24 hours as advertised but it would be more like 5 days. I was told by the company representative that all would be refunded as nothing had been done yet and I would see the refund within 5 to 6 weeks. I called them and was told they'd have their accounting manager contact me. I waited a coupld of days and then called back. A message was left on my phone that I would not get a refund. I am reporting this company to the Better Business Bureau. They are running a scam so don't fall into the same trap I did!
THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD!
DO NOT USE IT! YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR MONEY AND YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR PASSPORT IN TIME!
NO RESPONSE BY PHONE OR MAIL...AND TWO WEEKS LATER, NO PASSPORT!
DO IT YOURSELF AT A PASSPORT OFFICE!
She NEVER told me that I did NOT need to use their service. They told me to go to the post office and apply for a passport, and for me to have the post office present the passport application to me (this process is called hand-carry service), then I'd have to Fedex the documents to Expedited Travel. The post office said hand-carry service is completely unnecessary in my case because my trip is months away, and that they would have my passport at my door in 1-2 weeks WITHOUT using Expedited Travel. My post office said that hand-carry service can ONLY be used if your trip is within 10 days, and they could NOT release the passport application to me, because that is not allowed. The post office REFUSED to provide hand-carry service. They tried to call Expedited Travel for me. but no one answered the phone. They told me I should get my money back from Expedited Travel. Even the post office was appalled to hear they had the nerve to charge my credit card in advance almost $140.00 for a service that was cleary NOT needed. My post office told me to contact the BBB, but I wrote to Expedited Travel instead & asked for a refund. I paid them in June with my Chase card. Expedited Travel stated I had to fill out a refund form, so I did. Now they say they will not refund my money. They did NOTHING for me, and provided NO service for me. All they did was take my money. Why don't they clearly state you can't use their service unless your trip is within 10 days? If it said that, I NEVER would have placed an order. How can they take my money for a service the post office provides alone?
