Meal for two (approximately 630PM PST. Everthing was fine, but the server was slow in processing orders. Given that the restaurant was nearly empty, this did not seem reasonable. In an effort to expedite my exit upon completion of our dinner, I took my Bill up to the register to pay because the server was no where to be found. While the server was extremely slow in responding to all aspects of the dinner, I still intended to give her a tip because I suspected she was either new, or that the empty restaurant was under staffed. After approaching the register a kind female took my Tab and started processing it, but then said she had to get a manager approval. After that she took my credit card to the back of the business to talk to my original server. After I flagged them down they came forward to talk to me. By this time patience was extremely thin, so I let them know I did not appreciate the wait. A moment later, this short rotund smelly bald man came storming up to me and asked if I needed anything, without letting me explain my situation, he started yelling at me and said No one speaks to his staff that way, (not sure what he was talking about and he certainly didn't clarify) then he intentionally stepped forward and pushed his belly into me in an intimidating manner, demanding I give his property back (a pen and the bill I was trying to sign). Then I asked him what his name was and he ignored my request and told me to get out of his restaurant. Then after more threatening gestures, he followed me out the door and wished me a Merry Christmas. After he refused to give me his name, I referred to him as an Ahole, because that is what he was. I think Romano's should reprimand or fire this guy. Instead of trying to resolve my problem, he only escalated it. Fortunately, I was able to keep my composure and walked out, but it dawned on me that this guy actually assaulted me and that is a liability thar Romano's Macaroni Grill doesn't need. Grant it I should have exercised more patience, but this is ridiculous.
Desired outcome: Reprimand or fire offending manager.
