My family and I have been staying at the Red Roof Inn Plus+ at 42 Flint Road, Buffalo, NY since Tuesday, August 24, 2021. We chose this location due to its proximity to University at Buffalo Campus. Upon arriving to our hotel, we noticed a whole heap of issues. The first basic issue would be that our room did not have a refrigerator and microwave, even though those are things that said they would actually be available in the room. When asked if we could have one, we were told we would be brought one to our room, but it never arrived. However, the other issues are far from basic. The bathroom was filthy. The curtains looked like they have never been cleaned, the tub looks like it hasn't been scrubbed since the hotel first opened, and none of the amenities worked properly. The sheets and the pillow cases were filthy! We had to buy cleaning products for the room before we felt comfortable enough to even unload our things into the room. The bathroom had no toilet tissue, the smoke detector is missing from the room, the safe doesn't close at all, the remote to the TV doesn't work, the outlets near the beds don't work, all the appliances look like they haven't been updated since 1980s! We even have to wash in the shower with flip flops on! There were no other options for other rooms when we asked, even though we were the first of all the patrons to arrive. Even the door is busted and requires a lot of work for us to close it when leaving the room. This isn't even the whole list of issues we ran into during our stay. This has been the worst experience I've ever had in a hotel, especially a red roof! I definitely expected better and would want nothing less than a full refund for this trip.
