Qatar Airways customer service

My name is Ali Kazmi, I was travelling to Iraq, Najaf by QR605 on the morning of 9th September from Karachi. Mr. Usama was the supervisor there. I had provided my visa and OK to board from Qatar Airways to him. He still had objections on my visa. When we had OK to board he had no right to create issues.

He went to FIA officer in-charge(Mr. Jataoi) who was already very busy due to extreme rush, he (FIA Officer) was processing the immigration himself at the counter due to rush. This guy (Usama) literally irritated the FIA officer and created an issue out of a non issue. Resultant, the same visa type people had already traveled on just a day before, but we were not allowed to travel on. People already know this guy as he creates issues for zaireen travelling to iraq. People in iraq even know him by name as he constantly is trouble and creates issues and then says that i am doing everything i can. He is biased and a racist who finds ways to create issues for zaireen. Had he issued us the boarding passes without irritating the FIA officer we would have gone. But Mr. Usama was just successful in creating the issues and making use of the incompetence and lack of knowledge of the FIA officer.

During all this time the ticketing agent Mr.

Initially the officer told him that its your responsibility if you think they are ok to board then you can issue them the boarding pass, but despite of us having ok to board confirmation from qatar airways he did not and kept on going to fia officer and asking him to take responsibility. In the end FIA officer refused us saying i wont let you go even if you have the boarding pass. We would like to request an inquiry in this guy and how he has agitated others as well before us.

Mr Ali Raza Kazmi:
Such type of the complaint is unclear as
1. It is not seen
1.1. The conncetion of the described Pakistani officers with 9 September 2019 QR605 flight.
For example, did they serve you at the boarding desk or in the FIA office?
1.2. A negative result for you regarding 9 September 2019 QR605 flight.

FIA unlikey serve the departing passengers at Karachi airport.
Also it is not a good idea to rely on words of anonymous, while makeing the complaint anywhere.

This is not the site of the Qatar airways or the Pakistan FIA site .

Also, It is unclear what do you need in a final point.

In general, you can submit the comlaint to the Qatar airways or to the travel agent, if you need refund/reimbursemnet, but with less emotions.
Or you can complaint to the FIA central office Karachi and later to the PK court,
if you have claims against the exact FIA officer.

Qatar Airways my stolen luggage

I contacted Qatar Airlines several times via telephone calls and in writing concerning my stolen belongings from my luggage with no results. My airline confirmation number is T6936W and my flight was from New York to Tehran on June 2, 2019. I have not received any assistance from Qatar Airline that claims to be a five star airline! However they are the worst airline I have ever seen. They think by not responding to me I am going to quit but they are wrong. They must answer me and find the solution.

Qatar Airways customer service

I am flying from New York to Yangon via Qatar Airways (QR702)with a transit at Doha. Departure time is 21:00.
I got to the check in counter at 6:30pm(counter 8)and weighted all my baggages.Neither of my baggage was overweight but unfortunately I wasn't aware that i'm not allowed to have two carry on languages.
The staff at that counter 8 started yelling at me, telling me i'm not allowed for two carry on baggages and if i want to, i have to pay 250 US dollars. What worst is that she made me que from the starting point again.I'm not complaining about the baggage allowance but she was very rude.
This is the last time i'm flying with Qatar airway and i will never recommend this airway service to other people.
The last thing is the staff from counter number 4.
When i asked him about how i could handle the problem, he aslo told me to start queing again for check in(already 7pm) and was again very very rude.
My suggestion is Qatar airline should teach their staff about how to treat their customers.
I have attached the pictures of the staff i'm complaining about. For your information, our entire family is a frequent flyers to US and UK using this Qatar airway since 2015.

Staff at counter 8-Natasa M

Qatar Airways Associate Donny who was not willing to help/ unwilling to help by the airlines when there was a price drop with 24 hours

Due to a family emergency, I had to reschedule my travel dates and called phone number - 18889320989 and reached associate Donny.

So my original travel dates were for 18th October 2019 - 27th October 2019 and this ticket was booked on 28th august 2019. However, due to my family emergency, my family wanted me to travel one month earlier however I had to prepone my trip to 20th September 2019 - 29th September 2019 (I didn't check the website when this was going on). So I explained my situation to him and he advised me with two different prices to reschedule my appointment. The additional fare he requested was approx cad 1, 100 on the first deal and then cad 800 on the second one. Due to this huge increase in price (I could do another round trip for the same amount) I couldn't make a decision and disconnected the call. After that, I decided at least to cancel the trip and rebook the ticket (cancelling fee was only cad 355.00 - still a big amount but comparatively cheaper).

Here was the next twist. My round trip was booked for cad 1550, but when I went to check the website price was dropped to approx cad 1, 200.00 ($1, 189). Hence I called the customer care number and I got connected again to the same person (Donny) and went through the same conversation again. After listening to my explanation (can't really say he listened) he wanted me to talk to the appropriate people for my request and connected my call to united airlines (none of my flight in my itinerary was from united and I didn't know at that time he was connecting me to united airlines) and in the end the united employee informed I was misdirected to a different flight provider and I ended up canceling the call. To conclude I spent 2 hours of my time in vain because of an employee who was not trained to provide proper service. Also, his behavior to me was very rude because I was requesting to make changes and he pushed me both times to disconnect the call and was not willing to provide me with any sort of assistance.

Afterward, I called another representative from the Montreal office (since I noticed the price drop) to see if they could help me out. I spent almost another hour explaining all of this (this time the associate was willing to help and was ready to check out the options I was talking about. Her name is Christina). Since the booking was made within the 24 hours time and as there was a price drop she talked to the help-desk to see if they could do anything to waive at least the cancellation charges, however their response they declined my request and quoted me with a higher price (which was for $1600 approx and I had to cancel my other flight and pay $355 too. Total cost again - $1855) and while waiting for all these to happen, flight I wanted to book in the evening became unavailable and ended up booking an early flight for 20th September -29th September 2019 paid cad 1189 for the ticket and canceled my other flight for $355.00 fee and got a refund of cad 1195. So I am wondering why do you have a customer care office when you don't care about us and penalizing us for booking in advance? It would have been better at least if somebody would have made an effort to take away the cancellation charges.

I have the proof printed. Don't want to upload here as it has my personal information.

Qatar Airways stolen items from my baggage

On June 2, 2019, I've traveled from New York to Doha with my connecting flight to IKA / Tehran. Upon my arrival I have noticed my luggage was vandalized and a number of items which I have purchased for my family / friends were missing/stolen. I have reported this mishap to the Qatar Airways Customer Care Desk at the airport in IKA and was instructed to contact their office in New York office. My husband contacted the Qatar Airways in New York, however did not receive any assistance and was instructed to fill a claim online. I've filled a claim on the Qatar airlines website and received the following message:

"With regards to your complaint concerning to lose some items from your checked baggage under New York to Tehran via Doha on Qatar Airways flights QR704/02Jun/QR482/03Jun, kindly be informed your case definitely checked and investigated by concerned departments and all required reports prepared accordingly.

Based on the investigations and available records, we regret to inform you the claim would be subject to refuse due to company official procedures with regards to below points:

As per COC Article 17-1, Time Limitatin on Claim".

This is absolutely unheard of as the issue was reported to Qatar Airways right away with the number of follow up calls that are recorded.

Qatar Airway call themselves a five start airline, however the only start they get from me is zero. Do not travel with this airline as you won't get any assistance or cooperation from them. The word courtesy and customer service is non-existence in their vocabulary. SIMPLY THEY DO NOT CARE.

Qatar Airways Cancelled flight

Hi

This is regarding PNR U2LV8T. Passengers: Mrs Purnima Chattopadhyay and Dr. Arup Chattopadhyay. Booked date of travel : Monday 20th January 2019.
Rebooked for 21st January 2019. Actual travel date: 23rd January 2019.

I booked a flight to Kolkata. We are 71 and 77 years old. The amount of harassment that we have had to face should embarrass you as an airlines. So we reached there with all our luggage and were told that the flight was cancelled. We were asked to come the next day. We went again and were sent back after waiting for the whole day. We are aged couple and got no support at all. My husband is not medically fit and was very distressed by then. No one offered any help and I was trying to look after my husband and also trying to understand the status of the flight.

We were not offered any hotels or anything. We finally travelled out on Wednesday 23rd January.

As I've mentioned, due to my age and ignorance and the immense inconvenience I've never thought of writing before today. My husband's health deteriorated due to this terrible harassment.

We encountered financial loss because we had hotel booking in Kolkata from 21st to 23rd of January. We lost two days of stay/ planned holiday.

I would like to claim compensation for the lack of service, loss of two days, stress, harassment, complete lack of customer experience, my husband's age, and lots more.

I will be waiting for a speedy reply.

Kind Regards
Mrs Purnima Chattopadhyay

Qatar Airways refund amount not received, wrongfully charged cancellation fee

Hello, my name is Tornike Dzagnidze. I am an American Citizen currently residing in my country of birth, republic of Georgia. My email is [protected]@yahoo.com, and my phone number is +[protected]. I have a problem to get the refund for the air ticket that I cancelled for legitimate reasons while in addition having purchased flight cancellation protection. I would appreciate if you can help me resolve the issue.

On June 23, 2019 I booked a Qatar Airlines flight from Tbilisi (Republic of Georgia) to New York through Flight Network. Ticket dates were - departure on August 7th and return on September 16th. The company website was offering round trip ticket for 857.23 USD and flight cancellation protection for approximately 1.5 USD. I booked the flight (booking reference number is 8071099) with the protection but my credit card was charged 857.23 USD for ticket and 41.04USD for flight cancellation protection (instead of 1.5 USD as it was provided on Flight Network website). I called flight network right away and requested to remove flight cancellation protection due to the difference in price. Costumer care representative tried to convince me to keep the protection for 25 USD and promised to refund the difference between 41.04 and 25. According to the representative this protection would allow me to cancel the flight ticket for ANY reason and get a FULL refund. I agreed with this terms - I kept the protection for 25 USD and the difference (41 - 25=16 USD) was refunded to my credit card.

On August 1st I found out that my host in the US has passed away. I immediately called Flight Network with intention to cancel my booking due to the death of the host. The representative told me that in case of cancelling the booking I would be charged 150USD cancellation fee from Flight Network. I didn't want to pay 150USD for cancelling the flight since I had already purchased the flight cancellation protection, but the representative gave me no option but to agree to his terms and he cancelled the booking. At the end of the conversation he confirmed that I would be refunded full amount of the ticket - 857.23 USD. Later on I found out that my credit card was charged 150USD cancellation fee and an additional 16.75USD for unknown reasons.

Right after the cancellation I received a confirmation email from Flight Network stating that my credit card was charged 150 USD and the refund amount would be $660.55 (instead of $857.23). I immediately called Flight Network, spoke to another representative and asked to make necessary corrections, but he suggested me to email the customer service about the situation and someone would contact me. I emailed the customer service the same day.

During next few days I called Flight Network again and spoke to a different representative - Ms. Shaheen Khan (she may be reached at 1-800-671-5032, ext. 2254). I told her that according to Flight Network cancellation and refund policy, death of the host is one of reasons for receiving the full refund under cancellation protection. Ms. Khan promised me to listen to the recordings of my previous conversations with Flight Network representatives and promised that IF DURING these CONVERSATIONS I WAS PROOMISED FULL REFUND, Flight Network would issue a complete refund to me.

After that I spoke to Ms. Khan couple of times but she kept saying that customer care department needs some time to review my case and she would get back to me with the results. Last time I called her on August 13th, 2019 but she was not available and I left a voice message on her phone.

Meanwhile, Qatar airways posted a refund to my credit card in the amount of 502.23 USD.

Considering the facts and circumstances, I believe I additionally should be refunded 335 USD from Qatar airways for the ticket price (857.23-502.23=335); I also should be refunded for cancellation fee of 150USD from Flight Network, since I purchased flight cancellation protection; and also should be refunded 16.83USD from Flight Network that was charged from my card along with the cancellation fee of 150USD.

For any additional information I can reached at an email and phone that I indicated above. Thank you in advance for your help.

Sincerely,
Tornike Dzagnidze

It is unlikely that such your complaint can be satisfied.
If you wish some one to investigate the case, you need to submit the details, such as, in minimum:
- description of the events in timely manner,
- to attach the eticket, issuedd by Flight Network
- to attach the contract regarding insuarance of Flight Network
- your explantions, why the Flight Network is guity in the lack of the services related to your exact payment,
- what do you need in the result (your exact claims).

Also you can claim the refund due to unauthorised transaction fom your bank.

Qatar Airways 6h30 delay nightmare!!!

Hi Dear Qatar Airways Team,
We would like to highlight that we got a delay in flight today 14th August Flight N. QR848 with Qatar Airways that should take off at 02:05 AM from Doha to Kuala Lumpur and should be landing at 15h00 to get our connection flight through Asia Air from Kual Lumpur to Langkawi at 18h55 Flight Number AK6314 means we had almost 4 hours transit to reach widely our domestic flight... !

we were on the plane 2:20 and later on they have said that they have an issue with one of the window on the plane which is a Technical issue from the Airlines, we stayed on the plane around 4 hours ... we went down from the plane, and they called back for boarding at 7:30 ... at 8:45 the plane Take off, we have landed 21h16 at kuala lampur.

now the situation is we lost one day Hotel booking at Langkawi island, and lost our domestic flight.

this is not tolerable from such big Company as when we complained they said we have nothing to do, and they gave us a letter showing that they apologize for the delay with one meal free ...! this is a joke ...

Sorry but this is Nightmare journey we took the first flight from Algeria with 7 hours and a delay of 6h40 and 8h flight to Kuala lumpur and just saying we apologize .

under the policy EC 261, there are virtually no exceptions for airlines to evade their obligations for breach of contract, we know that A flight not within EU of greater than 3500 km in distance we are eligible for a compensation and on this flight there is 5920 kilometers.

we hope to get a positive response for a compensation, either to go to a court ...!

looking forward to your kind and quick reply.

Thanks & Regards
Mrs. Assia Brahimi and Aya Taallah.

Qatar Airways denied flight

I am Villamor Villarta Cerdeñola which supposed to go back to Italy last July 18 from Mabalacat clark airport but I was denied to board the plane, reason was, i have an expired permit of stay.I presented additional documents to prove that i must be allowed go fly that day but the supervisor that day said they received an email directly from the italian immigration that i cannot enter italy with expired permit of stay (which i believe not true). I was then advice to give all the additional documents because that time the counter is closed, and iwas told to wait for an advice from the italian immigration. I was not informed nor received any call. After 3 days I went back to qatar office at clark and they said i will better apply for re-entry visa which i didn't do because the italian embassy advise me not to, i refuse for a rebook, so i bought ticket from another airlines and was able to enter italy without encountering any problem. With my experience with Qatar, i dont know if i will still choose or ask my friends to try qatar. My family is a afrequent flyer of Qatar, in the name of my wife # [protected]. Please help me and refund the money lost caused by this unfortunate experienced, i was allowed by italian immigragration to enter italy using another airline but not with Qatar as alleged by your supervisor in the ground on july 18, 2019. Thank you and hope for your action.
Attached herewith picture of my boarding pass denied from Qatar and boarding pass able to travel from Thai Airways.

Qatar Airways delayed flight

Our original flight was from Clark 19:05 to Doha 23:35 then Doha 01:15 to Milan 06:35. But without prior notice our plane was rerouted to Clark to Davao, Davao to Doha, Doha to Clark that's why we were delayed for 7hours from the original schedule. I missed my training in Monaco Monte Carlo Saturday evening. I should be the guest speaker for that training. This delay cause me a lot.
I am a frequent flyer of qatar Airways #[protected]. I am going to Philippines again by next month but if this will happen again I don't think I will be comfortable with Qatar. I travelled with my daughter 11 years old.
Hope you can at least give back the damaged done.
Expecting for your kind action and response to my complaint.
Attached herewith pictures of my original e ticket and the boarding pass and a poster of my monte Carlo training.
Sincerely, Grace Cerdenola

Booking Reference [protected]

1. Delayed flights with no lounge access after 8 hour delay in Johannesburg.
2. Self transfer in Johannesburg when paid for self transfer.
3. Check in machine didn't recognize my booking so an assistant helped, confirming middle isle seating however on 2 flights they were window seats.
4. Dohn to Jhb, chair was broken, they refused to wake passengers who were lying over 3 seats forcing me to a window isle seat. It took over a hour to assist so eventually I went to staff which i interrupted their chatting and eating - receiving attitude in body language. They didn't offer me business or first class but instead hushed me to a window seat which I specifically in all my flights refused. I had a large women behind me kicking my chair every time she moved and previous flight a family of 3 small kids making a terrible noise and banging chairs where hostesses didn't reprimand parent. They were less worried about 1 stand alone passenger than pleasing other's to wake them to allow for room for another over 3 chairs they didn't pay for. It was only when i forced myself to sound hard did they help.
I have spinal and hip issues and the whole experience was terrible.
5. At Johannesburg international i wasn't allowed to check in, instead had to sit in the open with loiters bugging me for nearly 6 hours, Qatar had me on a british airways plane who wouldn't allow me early access to customs or their lounge even though i had flight protection.

I can't see myself choosing Qatar or referring them anytime soon..

Qatar Airways check in kuala lumpur

Everywhere in the world in 2019 there is webcheck in with mobile boarding pass available- but not in the highly develeopped City of Kuala Lumpur?
The waste of paper just for prining out boarding pass is Bad to environment. Futher more I had to wait for several minutes aside the other passengers for prining out the boarding pass and then the lady just tears the cupon and puts it next to the check in Scanner, which was already able to scan the boarding pass from my phone. are you kidding me? If this is official procedure I strongly recommend to CHANGE IT WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT.! You are making bad to environment and you use procedures from the 1900es. This I never expected from a so called 'premium carrier' as QR wants to be. Being highly irritated and disappointed

Qatar Airways seats

I bought 3 seats on the window Isle 4 months before the flight. All the seats were confirmed and before leaving the house I checked online and even then the seats were the same. During boarding the staff told me the my seats have been changed to the middle because the plane was changed. But even if the plane was changed I should get the same seat number or a window seat on the new plane. I wasn't able to change during boarding because all the seats were taken. This is not the first time this has happened with me. I'd like this to be taken care of in the future.
