Purolator review: denied delivery

I’m writing to formally report a serious issue with a Purolator delivery attempt. Yesterday, the driver called my phone, let it ring once, & hung up. I’m currently recovering from life support, use a walker, & cannot leave my building for long periods of time. The phone rang once, I went to the entrance. The driver saw me, I waved to signal that I was present, & despite this, he drove away.
He later claimed that “he attempted delivery, no one was home,” which is completely false. If he had genuinely tried to deliver the package, that would be one thing — but he made visual contact with me & still chose to leave. Given that this item relates to my health, this behavior is unacceptable.
I reported the incident to a constable (WPRS), who confirmed that I am within my rights to file a complaint. This isn’t the 1st time this has happened. Many complained before, my neighbours have complained, & there is a clear pattern of similar issues in the area.
After calling Purolator yesterday, I was told the package would be brought back today. I followed up, I was read a note stating, “the driver attempted delivery and no one was home,” that I should pick it up at a depot — which is an insult, inaccurate, & demonstrates that nothing is being done to correct the false report. I explained that I must receive this package before 15:30, as I have medical transportation for therapy at the hospital.
I have over 32 years of safe, accident free, on time commercial driving, more than 4 million miles —& have trained new drivers myself. I understand the expectations of this job, & the behavior I experienced is far below professional standards.
I’m frustrated, insulted, deeply concerned that a driver can ignore a customer, falsify an attempted delivery report, & face no accountability. The lack of corrective action is unacceptable.
I’m requesting a prompt & serious response before I consider seeking legal advice. Please do not take this as an empty threat — I am prepared to escalate this matter if it is not properly addressed
