I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding my recent purchase from Pure Gold Jewellers – Abu Dhabi Duty Free.

• Item: 22K gold chain
• Weight: 18.52 grams
• Amount paid: AED 15,531
After reviewing the current 22K gold market rate in Abu Dhabi (approximately AED 458.75 per gram), the price I was charged (AED 839 per gram) appears far above the standard market rate, suggesting a possible overcharge or miscommunication regarding making charges.
After checking, when I was informed that the chain cost far above the current market rate (approx. AED 458.75 per gram). When I raised my concerns at the store, the salesperson told me:
“We can’t do anything now, you need to speak to customer service.”
I will be travelling again back to Germany through Abu Dhabi Airport on 22 November 2025, and I would like to take full refund by giving back the item. I request that my complaint be formally registered and reviewed before my arrival.
Please confirm receipt of this complaint and advise how I can proceed with either a refund or exchange based on the correct market rate.
Thank you for your attention and assistance in advance. Please solve this issue as soon as possible,I will be also raising a concern with Abu Dhabi airport authority if action is not take.

I am extremely disappointed that my complaint as mentioned above has been marked as “Resolved” despite the issue still being unresolved.
The product has a clear manufacturing defect. After more than 10 days of waiting and repeated follow-ups with customer care, I have only been offered a 90% refund, which is unacceptable. I fail to understand how a defect caused by manufacturing can justify anything less than a full refund.
I request that this complaint be reopened immediately and that a full refund be processed without further delay. I expect a clear timeline for when this will be completed.
I urge higher management to address this matter seriously and resolve it appropriately.
