Testimonial pueblo bonito tiempo compartido
Unethical behavior, stay away!!
Don´t buy a timeshare at PB. They lie in order to sale and then they make their clients believe that will help you to get rid of that fraud but keeping your money...they don´t respect what the Mexican Laws say and they threat you if you request the cxl, they extort you to pay 1000 USD, but if you fight them they drop to 500, continue fighting then they drop to 0 but just to make you think they will help you...these three women are the ones that extort people

They even sent me a cancellation format and passing the days they said that our cxl was denied!
here the email received ...I will post the emails received from these thieves in my next post
Hi Sindo,
Really sorry to hear about your experience. We went through the same presentation and ended up signing the contract. We have sent them a cancellation request within 5 business days and waiting to hear back from them. I just wanted to check if you were able to get you money back and the process you followed.
Thanks,
S
Pueblo bonito timeshare - bad experience
We went to a timeshare presentation at Pueblo bonito. Upon my return home I was reviewing documents and noticed my 15 year deal was for 30 years. We were told that we could have them rent our week if needed or they could also re-sell the unit if needed. but all was a lie. We have tried contacting them at many different numbers but they never answer or returned our calls . we tried to cancel our timeshare but we got threatened by them and they told us that our credit score would be affected and that we would have pay an extra 25% of our membership. One day, we found Mexican Timeshare Solutions online while trying to find someone who would buy our timeshare and 5 months later, they were able to get the cancellation of our contract.
Beware and stay away from Pueblo Bonito they are scammers!
Pueblo bonito timeshare scam
We have been a victim of scam at Pueblo Bonito Resort & Spa.. in April 15, 2016.. we attended to cancel the contest the next day and we were told that there was not grace period to cancel. The salesman by name Omar Alvarez promised and ensured us that he will sale our existent timeshare.. A Big lie.. we put down couple of thousands. But we had no results. Each time I had to pay my credit card bill for Pueblo Bonito it reminded me of the fraud they had committed against me and I knew I had to do something about it and I did, I hired a company named Mexican timeshare Solutions. The fact that MTS did not take any money up front was reassuring for me. Thanks to them we were released of our membership completely. The reason of my post it´s to warn you and to avoid you to fall into their lies like me.
Known mistake they won't correct
We have owned at Sunset Beach/MonteCristo since 2007 & have dealt with the same sales guy Mark Biddle. In 2014 after hurricane Odile in Sept we went to Sunset Beach in Oct. They were barely back open. They were offering deals for various things & we bought one to have a non-mandatory maintenance fee for MonteCristo. So if you don't use it you don't have to pay it every year. He made a mistake in looking at our contract & made the deal based on what he saw. We went back several months later & found he had made the mistake & he admitted it in front of several people including his boss. We just wanted the contract voided & our money back. To this day they have done nothing & we are out 7, 000.00 dollars. They won't even pay our maintenance fee that is still mandatory because of him. Hiss boss Eddy Childers says he's tried to rectify it also but we've gotten NO WHERE!
Lies and rudeness
My wife and I were snagged at the airport for one of their presentations and got into a nightmare without knowing. It was our first vacation abroad and I admit I should've researched more before getting into anything. Anyway, I'll start with some pros, the place looks very nice and clean, Mexican staff (and I can't emphasize enough) the Mexican staff is awesome, very polite and willing to help and that's about it.
My experience was limited to the timeshare hassle so I'll stick to that. The timeshare isn't worth crap, the 2000 they promise every year isn't worth anything as well, the whole "timeshare" is like a discount book which you can actually find better deals online through websites, with little research online you can find out there are a ton of people trying to get rid of theirs, money down the drain. Added to the fact that they kiss your feet to buy it and after you do you are worthless, they couldn't care less about you.
After I bought it my gut told me something wasn't right so I went online and did some research, after I found all that out I went to cancel my contract. IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL THE CONTRACT VISIT MESCAM.COM they have all the info you need to get yourself rid of this burden. Anyway, everything that they warned me about at mescam happened, first the sales guy told me no one was there to help me get a signature that i dropped off a rescinding, so I told him I wouldn't mind waiting there with him, I sat at his table and spent half an hour looking at his face. After that he said the manager was in a meeting and didn't know when he would come out, then the rudeness started. He started saying the timeshare was a no-brainer and I was stupid to bail out, he said if I didn't recognize that I they didn't want me and I was a coward to be taking these actions (in Mexico you have 5 days to cancel any contract without any fees by law) at that point I started being rude as well and raising my voice, there were other sales guys around trying to make their pitch so I guess that got them wanting to get me out of there, his manager came right away, signed my paper and I left. So it took all that to do something that is by law my right.
These people are conniving, slimey and care absolutely nothing about you. DO NOT GET IN WITH THEM, I cant repeat that enough.
Hello, I was scammed by Pueblo Bonito too last year, i lost a bunch of money with those cloaks, if you want to know more about how those people operate, you could check this

Timeshare scam
My husband and I purchased a time share with Pueblo Bonito Preferred in December 2014 and got scammed. We were told that we would have 3 weeks vacation in 2 and 3 bedrooms resorts each year but when we finally were able to access the website we found that the 3 weeks and 2/3 beds gets to converted to a dollar amount that we can use each year to put towards our vacations. The kicker is that pueblo bonito determines how much of YOUR mo at you can put towards each of your hotels/resorts which is usually a small percentage. This is not a timeshare but a discount website very similar to Priceline but not as good. When we confronted our realtor and her manager about lying to our faces they refused to refund our money because it's our word against theirs so they know what they are doing. The manager told me that if I wanted a refund for the discount website I could get $499 because that is all we paid for that and the remaining $7, 500 was for the 1 bedroom junior suite timeshare we purchased. We were not even interested in the junior suite because it was not impressive we were interested in the 2 and 3 bedroom villas we were promised by our realtor Jessica Schedler. She told us she just threw in the jr suite because you have to have some kind of timeshare to use the program. i just can't understand how a company can condone such unethical behavior.
Seems like a scam. When we tried to deposit weeks, we got no phone call Back from reservations. And Expedia seemed to have better offers. Not even sure this works.
DO NOT SIGN UP FOR A TIME-SHARE. THIS PLACE IS A RIP-OFF. They are not up front with the contract.
We purchased and paid off our time-share seven (7) years ago. Over the last dozen years, we have found that we were not using either the time-share and that we could never "trade" it for places we wanted to go. At the time we made our last member services payment, we tried to cancel the membership. We were told that we would have to pay $1000 to cancel, even after 12 years. This is a rip off. The contract you sign does not state the amount of the cancellation fee; they can make it whatever they want at their discretion. This is not legal in most US States, so they threaten to damage your credit if you do not pay it.
The last time we were here, it had really gone down hill. There are many other better places to visit.
Just now in the 5 day period to cancel. I think i was given the wrong email address after franscisco said i could cancel. Now to send letters and block charges
We purchased in Sept 2017 and are still trying to get Juan Carlo to do what he said he would do! We were told they were going to get us out of our current time share & showed credit on our finance papers however the papers didn't show our weeks promised only points. He said not to pay the annual maintenance which was due at the end of the year because he would have us out of that contract in 30-60 days so we didn't. We are not out and the other place hasn't received anything asking to cancel. The "breakfast" turned into an all day affair of which after listening to all the options & instead of this lets do that type, We missed lunch & it was late afternoon when we finally was let loose with all the promises & Juan Carlo's card to call him with any questions & concerns. They wear you down to the point of brow beating & all you want to do is scream. I did tell them if the paperwork isn't settled in 5 minutes I was leaving & they could stick it. Funny how the paperwork came in in 5 minutes. We got home & couldn't use the phone # on the card. I could go on and on but don't want to waste any more time with these people. Our vacation in Sept was great except for this. I won't be going back!
I completely feel your pain. Eli was slowly turning my yes answer into a quick no. I eventually cursed him all the way out. Additionally my paperwork didn't match up with anything they said. Fortunately, for me I offset all payments for 30 days. If I do not get a new contract that verbiage match the things that was agreed on and offered I am cancelling.
The posts here are in my opinion scams themselves put on here by mexican lawyers who want your money. We just returned form Bueblo Bonito in Mazatlan and had a great time. It was an excellent deal and I would recommend it to anyone. Don't believe everything you read on this site as we met many people who also agree it is a good program.
Are you a pueblo bonito preferred timeshare holder. What other opinions do u have on it. We went to a presentation and really liked the credits they said you can use towards flights, activities, and all inclusive but we thought it was too good to be true. So if u have one and can share some input would be great
please let me know if you find out any information about this program. we thought it looked appealing too
DO NOT DO IT! IT IS A TOTAL SCAM!
My wife and I have had our timeshare with Pueblo Bonito since 2014 and we love it. We go twice to 3 times a year. We also use the PB Preferred when we travel within the US. It's basically like having your own Expedia and using your points for discounts. Our friends also book through our Preferred when they need rooms in a different cities. Sometimes its way better deal through PBP and sometimes its the same price as Expedia.
This timeshare company is a scam as is their Preferred Passport program! I have been trying to sign up but get placed on hold and no one ever comes back on the line. We realize now that the complete deal is a SCAM!
If you are thinking of buying bc they offer you the $49a week deal... DONT! They have deal for $49 but they are few and far between. I've had 2 vacation deal that ive actually usex year and half. One vacation was very nice, the other was a scam at the all inclusive resort Dreams.
Don't do it unless you want to throw your money away
We purchased one in october were told we coould use the free points half for the resort the other half towards all inclusive fees, , then we did some investigating and found out it was not true! among other things we were told everything was false ... we went back the next day and cancelled it DAVE LARSON said he would cancel it and said he would honour our cancellation we got back home and found out it still has not been cancelled. In a fight now with cc company over charges. They are liars and have no quirks about doing so to your face. Soo sad that a fellow canadian could rip off another canadian or anyone else for that matter where are your scruples ?
Were you able to refund or other options? I'm in the same boat and wondering what can be done. Thanks! I'm thinking if I can go through MESCAM
At the moment of the timeshare presentation, the timeshare salespeople will tell you anything you need to hear to make you sign the timeshare agreement. This is the case of Pueblo Bonito timeshare, one of the most fraudulent resorts in the timeshare industry.
We were scammed
This is a warning to all potential owners considering buying a timeshare, partial ownership house, or other properties from Pueblo Bonito in Mexico. We have a nice "horror story" that has evolved from our experiences dealing with them, after many years of happy ownership. Here's our warning about these professional scam artists.
STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS!
Pueblo Bonito will will screw it's first supporters to make a few more pesos. We are long time owners with multiple different units; a beach front condo, a house at Monte Cristo, and recently the new Governors houses at Nova Spania, in Cabo San Lucas. At first Pueblo Bonito offered product and service that was straight up, honest, and decent.
We first bought into Pueblo Bonito at Sunset Beach while it was a conceptual model on a hill overlooking, what is today a bustling, large, vacation paradise. Looks good on the surface, but for unknown reasons management has taken it's scam tactics to new lows and we want out.
Scam #1: Not Delivering On Promises Made During Sales Pitch
We gladly upgraded from our "Executive" to a "Penthouse", then when they started Monte Cristo we bought again... but their scamming policy had started. We started to notice issues with management years ago, but it was sort of background noise at the time. When we bought, they promised tennis courts at Monte Cristo, as well secure storage and the ever promised, multiple "world class" golf courses.
Ten years later the golf course is actually being developed but ole' the tennis courts and storage turned into more villas. Well we are a little slow, maybe too trusting. Recently, Pueblo Bonito decided to start selling points to owners for the development called Novia Spania, big villas with very good furnishings, eye candy layouts, fine pool, gorgeous kitchens etc. - as you will find out below, that didn't turn out to be what they said it was.
Scam #2: Increasing Maintenance Dues On Existing Owners
We decided to exchange part of our yearly fractional ownership at Monte Cristo ($2, 600 yearly maintenance fee for two weeks) along with a sizable chunk of cash and our one week remaining executive suite for enough points to stay at Novia Spania. So every other year we would stay at Novia Spania or Monte Cristo.
During our negotiations we were assured that our maintenance fee for #13 Monte Cristo would remain in effect. Imagine our shock when the maintenance fee statement demanded $4, 600 for the same two weeks that we had bought while our fractional villa was dirt! We signed the contract without detecting this massive, deceitful increase.
Scam #3: Not Responding To Owners To Resolve Complaints
After pointing the maintenance dues disaster out to them, they realized they never had us sign a cancellation on our old contract, so how there were indeed two contracts in effect with two different maintenance fees. After multiple contacts with multiple people, they finally emailed us that they were going to honor the original agreement.
Months later they STILL have not responded to revise their paperwork, notify their own billing company, or gotten back with us after multiple attempts and months going by. So currently, they have only credited our FULL dues as a partial payment, which reflects that we are the ones with the problem, when they are the ones who messed our ownership up.
Verbal assurances were given, followed by fine print. I trusted Pueblo Bonito NOT to stoop so low.
Scam #4: Uncomfortable Living Conditions & Poor Quality Service
Back up a little... How was the stay at Novia Spania in October 2013, eye candy house? Well, they did NOT warn us that the pool waterfall would run all night, that the entire house air conditioner would not run at all, so if we wanted to be comfortable, head for the waterfall cause the house was running a fever (about 90F) at midnight.
Multiple calls for redress resulted in more calls for a fix that never happened. Maintenance was over $3, 700 for a week of sauna temperatures, blinking lights and a perpetual waterfall. They did not offer to move us into a new unit, offer any discount on the dues paid, give any consideration, or even apologize after our complaints.
While at Sunset I wanted show my family Pueblo Bonito Blanco and have dinner at Cilantro's. I cannot describe how I felt when the service caused all my people to complain. Then they served the fresh Dorado that my sister and I caught that day DESTROYED. Inedible. Blackened straight through. Unbelievable.
The contract does mention "breach of contract" for lack of "efficient" operation, but to who's "efficiency" does it reflect? It was more "efficient" for them NOT to maintain the house in a safe and comfortable manner. Did I mention that my brother was in the master bedroom next to the pool suffering from congestive heart failure? I was glad when we left and went to another time share we own across town with good air conditioning and honest management and far less maintenance fees.
AVOID THESE TIMESHARE SCAM ARTISTS!
Pueblo Bonito: sign with great trepidation, read the fine print, and be warned. We want out of our contract and warn other travelers to avoid this terribly managed company.

I just wanted to provide an update - what's a story without an ending?
I never heard back from PB in writing. I did get a response on Twitter, where I was assured someone would reply to me ASAP. Of course, no one did. And when I wrote them again on Twitter, nothin. Now they were ignoring me there too.
But the GOOD NEWS is that I have received my money back, thanks to Visa. Two days ago, a full refund was credited back to my card after I sent them documents showing my emails, and scans of all the documents I received in person at the resort.
I never thought I'd be so happy with a credit card company. :P
Pueblo Bonito Universal Points are ultimately redeemable for resort nights (time) and therefore constitutes a Timeshare.
The 'deposit' or 'earnest money' or 'down payment' or by any other phrase or name is a portion of the Purchase Price and can not be excluded from the 5 day, Article 56 revoke protection.
I am also in the process of trying to get my money back from Pueblo Bonito.
My story:
We’re in Mexico and are returning to the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach resort, where the day before I had been talked into signing up for a time share.
Oh, I’m sorry – they call it something different – they call it a “membership”.
I ask Eddy, the manager at the sales centre at Sunset Beach, if I can please get my money back: it has been less than 24 hours, the charge won’t have even been posted yet. Eddy says no.
I can cancel my contract, sure! But get my deposit back? No.
I purchased 200 “points” from them the previous day, the details of which are all very confusing. The required deposit was over $5000.
So I asked if there was some sort of grace period, but he insists that there is not. And this is where I have a real problem because he was either wrong or lying. Because there absolutely is an unwaivable law for exactly this situation that I feel quite sure that he’s fully aware of.
But I didn't know that at the time, all I know is that I can’t afford to lose $5000. So I ask if I can buy fewer points instead: can I buy 100 instead of 200 and get a portion of my deposit back and have a much smaller balance to pay. He says yes and goes to process the paperwork. When he comes back to the table, though, I find that he still won’t give me any of my deposit back even though the required deposit for 100 points is just over $3000.
I walk out of the resort, a bit stunned, with new paperwork, $5000 short and a “membership” that I have since read is notoriously sketchy in terms of giving you the “bonuses” they give you to sign up.
And my biggest problem is that a man sat across the table from me, while I was crying on my holiday, and not only refused to refund my money less than 24 hours after giving him my credit card information but lying to me about the legality of the situation. Because here is the real deal:
As per IAW Article 56 OF LEY Federal de Protección al Consumidor, which states: “The contract will be perfected within five working days from the delivery of, or the signature of the contract, which ever occurs the latest. During this period, the consumer will have the right to revoke his consent without any responsibility. The revocation will have to be by means of warning or delivery of notice, in person, by registered mail, or another method of average reliability. The revocation according to this article, will terminate the contract. In this case, the costs of shipping and insurance will be the responsibility of the consumer. If the contract is for services, this article will not be applicable if the date of receipt of the service is less than ten working days from the date of the order of purchase.”)
And the law? Not waivable by the consumer. So even if the contract says, “I waive all my rights under Law suchandsuch or whateverandever” and you sign it, STILL NOT VALID!
When I learned this information, I sent an email to the company with all that information, asking for my money back. Five days later, I sent a second email. Four days after that, another one to a new email address I found.
Then I got a phone call. Barbara from Pueblo Bonito member services called me to tell me that the law I’m quoting isn’t valid. Why? Because they aren’t a time share, doncha know? They’re a “membership” somethingerother. She said the only way to cancel the contract AND get my deposit back would be if they violated the terms of the contract as it’s written. But don’t worry guys, she did offer me the opportunity to cancel WITHOUT getting my money back.
I have never received any written response from PB. I emailed once again on June 10th and still nothing.
In the meantime, PROFECO has confirmed that I am entitled to a refund and have suggested I file a formal complaint with them, which I will do. I have also been in touch with Visa, who have also confirmed that I can file a dispute to get my money back through them.
I will update if anything happens from PB's side or if I get anywhere with Visa.
Times shares are a poor value
Pueblo Bonito made several false representations and or lies:
- They will buy back a timeshare if you can't use it. They won't even pay 20% on the dollar (an acquaintance of mine has a $25000 master for sale for . They say offering to buyback units is a violation of law. They claim to never have made such statements.
- Maintenance Fees are low. The taxes were not disclosed to me till after I had signed. Their maintenance fees are higher than comparable properties in the us. The cost to maintain Pueblo Bonito RCI points is more than for many other resorts.
- Their Properties are better. Trading power for Pueblo Bonito and other Mexican resorts are 10 - 20% lower than comparable resorts in the US. They claimed that a studio (31K RCI points) was more valuable than the 1 BR Jockey Club, Las Vegas Unit I already owned (45K RCI points).
- They say their "Pueblo Bonito Premier" vacation service is superior to RCI's. RCI has more resorts to trade into than "Premier by far.
- Elite Corporation charges a 5% fee to resale a timeshare. In fact it is 5% plus a 199$ up front fee.
Pueblo Bonito salesmen are liars.
We own 4 timeshares at Pueblo Bonito. No lies were ever told to us -- not even a little one. These people have been so straightforward and truthful that sometimes it is shocking as they speak plainer without restraint (not "politically correct") and what they say you can take to the bank. We had a wonderful salesman, Ashley, who explained everything to us and has been helpful through the years as well. When we once thought that we were given conflicting information, we came to realize that it was just our own misunderstanding of what was presented. The only disappointment has been when we have traded weeks for other resorts. Nothing compares to Pueblo Bonito and weeks in Las Vegas, Florida, Morocco, and Peru paled in comparison to what we gave up at PB for those weeks. We've found that it's better to just rent out our weeks and use the money to find something else when we travel if we're not going to use them. Pueblo Bonito has been a great investment for us and for our family. We've created memories with our children and grandchildren that wouldn't have been possible had we not bought there. When we're not there, we all say that we're "Cabo Dreaming".
Scam
"Pressured" into buying a Timeshare at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Resort.
We were on vacation in Cabo San Lucas for our anniversary 2006. We attended a timeshare presentation and we were subjected to a high pressure, and very convincing presentation, by a salesman called COREY LOWE.
We felt manipulated in believing that we were making a great financial investment even after we expressed to Mr. Lowe that we already had a Timeshare and we were in no position financially to purchase another Timeshare. We were told that we had to make a decision as we would not be able to purchase at this price in the future or execute the contract at a later date without traveling back to Mexico to sign the necessary paperwork.
Seeing that we were still hesitant, Mr. Lowe decided to show us around the resort by pointing out the amenities such as the spa, restaurants, pools and floor plans. After the tour, we were escorted once again to the patio where the high pressure presentation began. After being pitched to for over, Lowe assured us that we were making a sound financial decision and stated that we would be missing out on a a chance of a lifetime because Cabo San Lucas is the most popular destination to vacation in the world and that not only could we rent our unit for a substantial fee we would have no problem renting it out because there is a waiting list for Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach.
I have tried to rent and sell my Timeshare (if you sell it you will lose about 70% of the purchase pirce). In desperation of getting out of this contract payed listing companies (companies that Mr. Lowe said are the best) who promised us they could help us, only to find that they too were scamming us. This purchase has caused us financial hardship and no longer is we able to pay the maintenance fees.
If someone have information about this business, please contact me back, I will appreciate it.
I have the sales person recorded in stating the lies... or he really didn't know. Its past the 5 days though and am interested in if I'll get my deposit back. Saga just beginning.
Their charges are outrageous
BBG recently became the internet provider at Pueblo Bonito resorts in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The charges are OUTRAGEOUS! We signed up for 24-hour usage – $16.95 – and, after they took our credit card info (and have since charged our account), they could not provide service because it was “down”. The service rep said they would refund our $16.95, but of course this was nothing but a lie. Will NEVER use internet when it involves BBG. Sad that BBG Communications takes advantage of customers like they do. I hope there are enough complaints at the Pueblo Bonito resorts to ensure that PB will do something about this rip-off company.
They claim to be a fine resort. But details like overcharging for poor internet service and selling lousy tequila (51%) drinks show their true colors. At he internet cafe, I was able to send and read a few emails for free on my own lap top.

Really read the fine print
we booked membership with black diamond pueblo bonito which is in no way related to pueblo bonito resorts. they take your time share and make a lot of money on it only giving you your maintenance fee back. that part is fine, what they don't tell you is that you do all the work, book the time, give them the time and then your credit is over in a year. we contacted them with only one month remaining and booked a coupon we had and they didn't have the courtesy to tell us our time was running out on our maintenance fee refund. when we went to us it this month we find out as they said tough, you should have read the fine print. i didn't think we had to as their salesperson seemed quite honest. i guess it would be nice to talk to them in person and not on the phone and we could then see what type of person we were actually dealing with. i'm not sure if i'll give them any more of my units to rent out until i see if their president will acknowledge my letter and give me a credit. i may have to go back to RCI who seems like a legit outfit and we never had problems with.
Whatever you do, don't sign up with Black Diamond. I've been struggling with them for 10 years now and every year dread the process of making a deposit of my maintenance fee to them for cash to my account. There is no clear-cut process in which to do this. Every year is different. Here's how this year went - and it's still not over after two months trying to make my deposit. March 11 I paid my maintenance fee, reserved my timeshare week then called Black Diamond to give them this week in exchange for cash to my account. After many calls, being disconnected, transferred, etc. I finally got hold of Alfredo who nicely completed the form needed and said cash would be to my account in 10 days. In 10 days, no cash! I called them back and, of course got the same runaround until somebody informed me my confirmation number was wrong for my deposited week. They connected me to a man who said he "fixed it" so now I should apply again. Instead of calling, I found the form on their website to complete myself and fax to them. The form says I will get a confirmation email within 10 days. After 10 days, no email. I called again. The lady told my it takes 30 days for cash to be deposited. 30 days later, no cash. I called again. bottom line, they never got my fax (i have a confirmation it went through) and I was told they really don't do it that way, I should enter information on the phone with an agent. I asked to speak with supervisor. The agent said he sent an email to management and I would hear from them in 24 hours. 24 hours later, no call. I called back. Happened to get the same man who sent the note to management. He read to me their response which was that management doesn't talk to the clients. Also that the agent should take my information and make application for the cash himself. So, we did it again - the agent took all my info. and submitted it saying there might be one problem: The dates of the week I deposited are supposed to be 6 months out when making the application! I told him that they were 6 months out when I first tried to make the deposit. I insisted he call me today to let me know if the dates were accepted. Any bets on this? If not, I'll need to call Pueblo bonito and try to get them to change the resort week dates to further out, get a new confirmation number and hope to god I have the patience to go through this all again. Can you believe it?
Been a member for over 5 years, Just booked a Cruise with Black Diamond, what a surprise. To use my Vacation Cash, there are a lot of BS to go thru. The agent was trying to tell me how nice it was for Black Diamond to give me Vacation Cash. 1. Vacation Cash can not be use for Deposit, More BS. 2. Had to pay brochure price to use my Vacation Cash, More BS. 3. Other Cruise company's where giving free drinks, on board cash, of which Black Diamond HAD none. IN closing I will say, you may not want to deposit your weeks if you plan on using Black Diamond to book a Cruise.
Also have you every tried to get to management at Black Diamond, there are no contact information any where. NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER. 5/26/16
They take your credit info, stall until your 30 days is up, then make it hard to cancel.
I have not seen any savings you could not get with Hotwire, etc
I am currently in the process of trying to cancel and I get the run around. If you have had success in Black Diamond refunding your money, can you please help me by telling me the steps taken. Who did you call? What did you say? Did you write to request the cancellation and if so what information did you include? Was it sent through verified mail? Faxed? Or was an e-mail sufficient? Thank you in advance for taking the time to answer my questions.
I heard the entire spill today. It is NOT a good deal. It would be nice not to HAVE to use RCI and pay the fees, BUT the solution is not paying Black Diamond thousands to get your maintenance fees back in travel. I'm not a fan of timeshares at all after trying them twice. If I live long enough, I will never buy another.
Wow - I don't know where to even start. This is a High Pressured Sales Job, only offered over the phone. The Sales agents, Telemarketers - let you provide them with all the information about your travel and what you like about Pueblo Bonito and how much you dont' go. Then they SLAM you and try to High Pressure you into a Membership. Then if you do buy you only have 10 days to cancel and get back your deposit or all $1999-$2499 that you paid.
Here's the basic deal - give the $2499 - and they credit your mainteance fee each year, catch its for Vacation Cash ONLY! money you must spend with their travel agency, you can't spend it online, its like pulling teeth to get them to price match ANYTHING, so their BEST PRICE GUARANTEE is worthlist. and you only get a MAX $1000 and if you don't give your unit by June of each year, or like April for Sunset Beach, you must pay the resort $100 to rollover your week to the following year, it then blocks your deposit for the following year week.
There is a bunch of rules to the program THEY DON'T TELL YOU during the sales pitch - and then you must deal with for the next 10years, 20 years, or 35 years, yeah LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP is just 35 years - and if you sell you Timeshare you lose the membership. ALL the RULES to the program BENEFIT BLACK DIAMOND AND THE COMPANY International Cruise & Excursion Gallery
Make sure you read this before you sign up...
http://www.pueblobonitob…
You also get travel discounts and cheaper rooms and things with the program they say, well most likely you already have that for FREE or already PAID for the PUEBLO BONITO PREMIER PROGRAM when you brought your TIMESHARE. IF you brought a timeshare in the last 10 years from Pueblo Bonito, or at Sunset Beach, Emerald Bay, your travel membership was included for the 1st year or you paid $299 for LIFETIME travel benefits. DONT PAY $2500 just to get your mainteance fee back... save your money - sell your week yourself on http://www.REDWEEK.com or another timeshare users group - or even list on Craiglist or Ebay. '
I lost alot of money to this company already- thankfully AMERICAN EXPRESS - got most of it back for me ...
Save yourself the hassle don't sign up and if you do READ READ READ UP UP UP - there price will be the same next week, or at the end of the money they give the best incentives - ITS SALES
Call Chris Ramirez at Pueblo Bonito Black Diamond ex2461 he is the supervisor of the program, Cancel if your reading this ... [protected]
This Black Diamond is a lie and a con. I was told after the fact that I could only bank my time for one year. The people lied and then kept passing me off to another person who then hung up on me. This company has the same address as in Arizona as Pueblo Bonito. I will get my money back for the join fee by not tipping when I use my time share. I finally got my money back for the year deposit after ### and cursing and screaming for a while. I will definitly bad mouth this company to every time share owner I meet in Cabo. Especially at the meeting of owners at the beginning of the week.
I am not sure what BC Gibons wanted to convey. Up front, you deposit your timeshare week, (maintenance fee is rounded up), look for what, when, where, then call your resident agent with BD and it's a no-brainer. I have used them for a lot of different places. They will even work on travel items, air, car etc. All of this was explained before you signed up. If you don't like them...cancel... just like any other business.
and that Lesly Radke is a ### she stole from me and my family
Rip off
BBG recently became the internet provider at Pueblo Bonito resorts in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The charges are OUTRAGEOUS! We signed up for 24-hour usage - $16.95 - and, after they took our credit card info (and have since charged our account), they could not provide service because it was "down".
Bait and switch scam
Our family has been going to Peublo Bonito for the last few years on vacation and decided to buy a time share during our last vacation there in December 2010. We were told we were purchasing a "premier" package, which included a 2 bedroom unit 2 weeks per year, every year, with 5 bonus weeks for signing on.We were even shown a representative two bedroom unit, and were told this is representative of the units we would be able to stay in.
Upon returning home we looked foward to booking our first trip at Pueblo Bonito in our new time share. Upon booking however, we were told that "premier" packages did NOT include two bedroom suites, and were are only able to use the package every other year. Essentially everything we were told by the sales rep at Pueblo Bonito was a lie. RCI rep was not sympathetic and did not offer any way out of this scam. We quickly contacted out credit card company to inform them of the fraud, and they are currently investigating out complaints. Hopefully our credit card company will be able to stop payment on this transaction.
There seem to be many other similar complaints on the web regarding Pueblo Bonito's unscrupulous sales tactics. I am not sure how this will ultimately play out, but would be interested in entertaining a class action suit againts Pueblo Bonito and RCI. Please feel free to contact me via email if anyone shares my feelings or has fallen prey to this bait and switch scam.
If you are considering staying at Pueblo Bonito, or God forbid purchasing a time share there, please, DO NOT!

I think that this company is pretty much a scam, my suspicious are supported by the fact that they do not reply my emails.
I think they don´t because two options
1) They have no answers to my questions
2) Their service is terribly bad.
What is your opinion?
the EXACT SAME THING WAS TOLD TO ME sounds exactly the same! Now im on the website of pueblo bonito premier, which they promised i would get a few cruises as bonus as well, all lies! like i said im now on the website and its redirecting me to RCI and another cruise site that was never EVER mentioned to me called first cruisimg. I AM HIGHLY DISAPOINTED, i called the [protected] and thee number is out of order. these sales people tal about their families and get you feeling all warm with empty promises. no way do these prices make my vacations cheaper..and now i cant reach nor call anyone..i would also like to be part of your class action suit as well. pleasekeep me posted
I purchased the PB Premier Plus (formerly Black Diamond) as a result of trying to deal with the lies that I was told when I bought a timeshare at PB Sunset Beach in November 2010. I work with Mary Beth-who is a godsend! She call PB directly with me on the line (3-way call, so I don't haveto pay the $3.oo per minute phone charge) and works through any of the issues that I have. For instance, I was told by my sales rep that I should put my week into Suite Getaways because I had access to all of these other cheap weeks (which was a total lie). Anyway, with no phone number or email address for Suite Getaways available to me, I was stuck...until Mary Beth called PB, and then Suite Getaways (she has their secret phone number) to get on their butts to take my week out of the rental list. I am happy to report that it has been done. She has also helped with other things-but to me, the most important point is that I never have to deal with PB again! I call her and she calls them-and things get done. If you think it would help you, give her a call at [protected] x4157. Best of luck to you!
I'm curious if you are speaking of the bonus weeks. Does it not state on the coupon that it is for a studio/junior room? We did purchase a timeshare in Dec 2009 at Emerald Bay and received bonus weeks as well. Our regular unit is a one bedroom and we just used it again in Dec. 2010, all went as expected. Last Aug. we used one bonus week and received a studio/junior suite as expected. We also provided a trip for our son for their honeymoon in Oct. to Puerto Vallarta, again all went smoothly and they had a wonderful 1 bdrm suite after we traded in our then jr suite. We upgraded in Aug from a jr to a one bdrm and actually ended up with an extra week in the deal. I'm now evaluating PB Premier Plus vs. RCI... is it worth the buy in or not. Would love to hear from others.
We love Emerald Bay!
Misrepresentation
In July of 2010 we stayed at the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach resort in Los Cabos. My Wife and I attended the timeshare presentation. We were already owners w/ Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan Emerald Bay. Mr. Alberto Carraso (the salesman) told us if we bought with Sunset and let our other timeshare go, which we had partially paid, we coul;d make up the loss by renting our Sunset timeshare out. He advised us we could make 2, 100.00 dollars for the weeks rental. He also sold us a membership to the Black Diamond program. He advised us we could book week stays at resort and only pay 299.00 for a studio, 399.00 for a 1 bedroom and 499.00 for a 2 bedroom. Needless to say we have now found out that he lied to us. Turns out we can rent our timeshare but we will only get our maintance fee paid for and the prices quoted for the Black Diamond program do not exist. Dealing with a company in Mexico we feel there is very little that we can do. Please let me know if there is any course of action we can take.

Yesterday I spoke with a rep from Pueblo Bonito Premier Plus, he said that Black Diamond is Premier Plus, they changed the name from Black Diamond and that Pueblo Bonito Premier is no longer. It's all just Premier Plus, similiar to RCI but run by Pueblo Bonito with added benefits since they were getting many complaints about RCI. I'm currently evaluating purchasing, looking for reviews online. He did give me a temp login for a few days and I'm able to see it all. Not sure the resorts offered are any different that what RCI has available but it does eliminate some fees. But is it worth the buy in... not sure. Depends on how much you would use it I guess. Anyone else out there with info?
We were also called in November to purchase a Black Diamond package, so that we will no longer have to deal with RCI, I am trying to get my money back. I can not log onto the website, and feel as though this is a scam. They sent me vouchers to ICE, for a cruise, and one weeks resort stay, and promised airline tickets too. Have not seen them. They were going to send information in 20 days, nothing has come and it is now January. Also, we could use our fees towards other properties. What properties, if you can't get on the website. When asking around noone had heard of Black Diamond.
A devalued investment
I am trying to help as many as possible, I know that attending a timeshare presentation would be a deception for all of you. It's why I am bringing an informative web site that I created to prevent, warn, let aware of the unethical and deceptive sales tactics that some promoters are using to increase Pueblo Bonito sales. If you want an advise, I would recommend you to see the information I gathered, this information may help you to avoid a mistake by investing your money with Pueblo Bonito.

Illegal waiver signed & premier timeshare rental misrepresentation
Carey Lowe misrepresented to us in Oct. 2009 that we could rent out discounted Premier Pueblo Bonito Timeshares to others. The ability to rent Premier timeshares is forbidden by Premier's Terms & Conditions. The salesperson lied to us about this ability. A major part of our presentation was on the subject of an income opportunity of being able to rent out discounted Premier timeshares for a profit. All this information was buried in the back of a 33 page booklet that we received after the documents were signed. We were required to sign the Cardholder's Agreement which states " I realize and understand that the earnest money deposit that I have credited towards my purchase contract is non-cancelable and non- refundable." By requiring us to sign the Cardholder's Agreement and deliberately inducing confusion by not informing us of the five day cancellation period as required by Mexican law, our rights were violated per the Mexican Federal Consumer Protection Law. We were required to sign the Cardholder's Agreement, which is an illegal waiver. Article One and Article Thirty-Two of the Mexican Federal Consumer Protection Law protects consumers against such despicable tactics, therefore, our contract is null & void. Article 32 states the following: The information or publicity relative to goods or services that spread by any means or forms, will have to be truthful, verifiable and clear of texts, dialogues, sounds, images and other descriptions that induce or can induce error or confusion, by its inaccuracy. Therefore, the five days cancellation period was violated.
We received an e-mail from Carlos Barrera-members services stating the following: Please be advised that your purchase agreement has no provision for cancellation after 5 days as described on 12-C. To cancel your contract, please send a notarized letter stating your wish to cancel and acknowledge that under the terms & conditions of the contract the deposit is not refundable 5 days after purchase. I would also state to this individual that my contract has no provision for cancellation of the contract, yet they are willing to cancel because they know they are wrong.
We will pursue every avenue available to us and will not rest till our deposit is refunded. I will spend the rest of my day making complaints about this organization and expose them for what they truely represent - and perhaps help some one else avoid such a ruthless sales practices. I will also make a complaint to PROFECO and any other organization that is available to the consumer.

Me and my husband been scam as well we vistited on 10/30/2022 have submitted emails certified letters and everything and no one has responded we was scammed out of 2922 for deposit can someone please help
Thank you for creating this post! My husband fell victim to the lies and deceit at Pueblo Bonito Sunset and purchased a Timeshare in Dec. 2016 when we were there for what should have been a nice break for our family. The sales person literally kept my husband all day. Our young son and I became worried, but finally he returned in the early evening thinking he purchased something of worth to use as a vacation rental, and to pass down to our son, since the sales people told him he would be able to do all of those things as well as enjoy visits and bonus points. My husband was sold a pack of lies. We have never been able to get the dates we call for, and we are always told call back in a few months, maybe something will open. Now, in 2021 they say they are only operating at 50% occupancy so it is even harder to book. This was supposed to be a vacation rental for us, as well as a place we could come to at the end of the year from time to time. Pueblo Bonito Sunset in Cabo San Lucas is a complete scam! A complete lie! Clearly, no lie is too great in an effort to make a sale at the expense of their unsuspecting victims. I am on a mission to learn how to get out from underneath this ball and chain and inform everyone I can about the scam they are running. They currently made 30K from our family, and when I reached out to a place that buys and sells Timeshares I was told we could make about 1, 500-2, 000, and that we would never be able to get back the 30K my husband spend. Not kidding! I also called Pueblo Bonito Sunset to find out how to sell the Timeshare and they say they don't do that. I searched for hours today to see if anyone wants to do a class action lawsuit against the thievery happening to unsuspecting vacationers. Please let me know if there is already a class action lawsuit I can join, or if anyone wants to pursue starting one. I can't stand this unlawful company. I can't take one more of their lies. They basically lied about everything and stole our money without regard.
OH dear! I just run into this forum, I SOOOO invite you to read this article,
http://www.timesharescam.com/blog/107-timeshare-cancel-professionals/
I think It will pretty much say everything that needs to be say.
I went through a horrible experience with this resort, and I'm out of three thousand dollars right now BUT I'm in a process to cancel my timeshare.
How can a Mexican business report to US credit bureaus? Has anyone questioned this?
Hello I thought I would share this information I found. I suggest those who are effected by PBSB timeshare send your concerns to these departments.
Mexico’s Consumer Protection Agency (PROFECO) along with the Mexican Resort Development Association (AMDETUR),
Thousands of International travelers, particularly from the US and Canada, have fallen victims of timeshare fraud while vacationing. Resort developers hire skilled salesmen to represent their timeshares as many different attractive packages, such as financial investments, deeded properties, or vacation clubs, just to increase their sales.
I theink we need to file a class action law-suit against Concord Servicing and Pueblo Bonito. They have been in business togetheer for over a decade scamming Americans. Once Concord Servicing Group popped up on my credit report, theey tried to use anotheer collection agency to collect, however, I wrote theem and theey have not pursued thee collection as I have provided all thee details, cancellation information, etc. My deposit WAS refunded via my credit card company, however, my credit is still affected. Pueblo Bonito tried to manipulate me as well stating thee deposit was not refundable and thee waiver theey produced IS illegal and does violate Mexican law. CONCORD SERVICING GROUP and PUBELO BONITO have been working togetheer for years scamming Americans. Since Concord is a 3rd party loan service AND collection agency theey can really mess up your credit. I filed a despite withe thee credit bureau and Concord did not respond. The credit bureau removed thee info from my credit from my credit report but Concord later reported me AGAIN. I had to file a 2nd dispute. The credit bureau stated theey do not have to respond which means thee details will get removed... BUT theey can report me again if theey want. Makes NO sense! Is theere an attorney out theere willing to assist in a CLASS ACTION lawsuit? Laws have CLEARLY been broken and I have a response from Pueblo Bonito in which theey admit to violating Mexican law, thee law in which thee contract is governed, as well as proof I canceled withein thee 5 day rescind period. I also filed a dispute withe my credit card company thee 4the day after I purchased thee timeshare since Pueblo Bonito was not responding to thee cancellation. LYING SCAMMERS!
Everyone said they been scam. Have anyone send email to Mr. coppel yet? ecoppel@pueblobonito.com.mx
They should acknowledge that they didn't provide you with the enough information at the moment of purchase, such as telling you that ALL timeshare contract purchase in Mexico, you are entitle to 5 days after the purchase to cancel your timeshare contract with a TOTAL refund of your monies, no questions ask.
here is a article with more information regarding cancellation of your timeshare within the 5 days of recession that the Mexican law provides you.

Time share scam
My husband and I purchases a bi annual jr suite timeshare. We were told that we would receive 1 week every other year at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach, a lifetime membership to Pueblo Bonito Premier, PLUS 4 Bonus Weeks per year to stay at hundreds of affiliated hotels for these prices: $50 for a jr suite, $75 for a 1 bdrm, 100 for a 2 bdrm or $125 for a penthouse suite. We were also guaranteed to be a part of their rental program and could rent out our jr suite every other year rather than use it and we would certainly make a profit. Our salesman Mark Schaub told us we don't ever have to stay at Sunset Beach, we could use our 4 bonus weeks instead. He specifically showed me a website and said we could stay at one of their sister resorts in Dana Point San Diego for the above prices.
Now we are being told by Pueblo Bonito customer service that no such bonus weeks exist for those prices and to contact Pueblo Bonito Premier...but they also tell us that no such bonus weeks exist for those prices.
We ONLY purchased the timeshare for the promised bonus weeks and rental program. We had 4 other adults in our group that heard this same presentation. Our experience is that Mark Schaub lied and that Pueblo Bonito is aware of it and unwilling to make this right.

Most likely you will book your week well in advance and find that upon your arrival they will tell you "there is no vacancies left and they will send you to their older resort next door" where the food will give you the runs.
Do not purchase a timeshare from these people. They will type in a fake address on your contract so that you cannot send a timeshare cancellation letter let alone own a timeshare at a fake address. They will also discuss your finances with third parties. Be prepared to get weird phone calls from Mexicans claiming to be attorneys working for the Mexican Government that are investigating them that want all your personal information. Do not! They are criminals working for these people. They pass around your personal information like diarrhea of the mouth.
Ben there ! You should check this article in relation about, MTS where the only people that really helped me after many tries ..good luck
http://www.timesharescam.com/blog/121-how-to-get-rid-of-a-timeshare/
Hello all, I often take to the internet to read about people's experiences on Pueblo Bonito. Please do not mistake me for being a supporter or promoter of Pueblo Bonito or timeshare in general, but I do have some on advice on this. I have been an owner at Sunset Beach since 2006 and I got exactly what I thought I would, but I did have to wade through the BS that they tell you. This is how I look at timeshare and specifically Sunset Beach. ONLY BUY if you are going to use your timeshare at sunset beach. DO NOT BUY FOR AN INVESTMENT and DO NOT BUY TO TRAVEL ALL OVER THE WORLD AT A DISCOUNT, it will never work. I bought because I want to travel to Sunset Beach every year. I look at it as paying a lump sum up front to receive a discount on a high quality resort property, nothing more. The up front fee (the timeshare sale) gives me the mind set to travel there every year and the actual cost of going is a discount over just booking there every year. That's it. You can rent out your timeshare privately and recoup your maintenance fee. If you put it in their pool you probably wont recoup all your maintenance fee, no matter what the salesmen says. With regards to traveling and exchanging, it's risky as inventory is never guaranteed and probably wont meet high season travel dates. As for buying and not using it, but using bonus weeks etc to stay..listen to what your saying, it doesn't make sense. Never will work. When I originally purchased I was given 5 "bonus weeks" through RCI. I had 3 years to use them and it cost $199 to book. I purchased a 1 bedroom and the bonus weeks were only for a studio. I used them over the 3 years at sunset beach and went in low season, no problem. A side note is that sunset beach is a large property so getting inventory on RCI in low season is usually a breeze although in the last year they have upped their rates for extra weeks. They have tried for years to get me to switch to the point system. I have resisted. I don't like it as they try and sell it so you can have multiple weeks in a smaller unit all the way up to 1 week in a monte cristco unit. Who has 6 weeks a year to travel to mexico? No thanks. Plus with points it seems many people have trouble booking due to inventory issues. I have one week a year (floating) in a one bedroom unit. I have had very little to no issues booking as long as you have a two or three week window to travel. Just yesterday I called to book my 2016 week for Nov and was told it was all sold out (I figured this as Nov is high season) however October was wide open, So I grabbed last week in Oct. Not so bad. So in summary, don't believe that timeshare is an investment, it isn't. Don't believe you can buy a timeshare, never go to the home resort, make your money back and travel on bonus weeks all over the world...that sounds too good to be true and IT IS! Buy a timeshare if you like the home resort and want to return to it every year over the length of the contract for a discount over doing the same just booking it every year. THAT'S IT, simple. Remember they want are in this to make money, not to make your wildest dreams come true. The salesmen are there to do that, sell! They are not all honest trustworthy people, so wade through the BS and ask lots of questions. Anytime they tell you something qualify it by asking if their plan involves trading or depositing your timeshare into a third party company like RCI or Premiere...if so then stop believing everything they say after that, because it just isn't a guarantee just a plan. DON'T BE BLIND AND ALWAYS PLAY DEVILS ADVOCATE. Good luck and enjoy what you buy...I have but I'm not gonna lie and say it's a money making investment. Pueblo Bonito made the money, but I enjoy it there and go every year for cheaper then if I just called them and booked!
Definitely agree with you, blue suit! We bought at Pueblo Bonito 5 years ago and have always been happy. But we also book our vacation a year out to guarantee we get the dates we want. We're going again in Dec 2022. We have never intended this as trade goods. Agreed that just doesn't work. The presidential unit we expected with that glorious deck has always been perfect. The only difficulty was once when they placed us in a unit far up the hill with an obstructed view, but they moved us to a perfect replacement when we asked to be moved. We are also not fond of the very crowded and competitive pool scene there, but that's not why we're there. Our favorite option is to combine a week here with a week or 2 at Club Regina in the Raintree Vacation Club system to which we also belong. My target is to keep our stays at between $100 & $200 a night for extraordinary resorts and so far since 1998 when we first came to Cabo, we're on target.
I think I just made a huge mistake yesterday by purchasing the studio timeshare...
I've been looking for information online but can't find anything recent (all dated stories from 2010 or 2011 or further back)
If anyone has anything recent or can acknowledge that all the above is true please please please let me know
Our experience is exactly the same as the first comment on this page. We have been trying to get out of our signed contract but they have the upper hand. It is a total scam when the sales people tell you something different that what the small print states. Does anyone know of another recourse since Pueblo Bonito won't budge and the credit card company will not continue the dispute?
Thats weird that yours hasn't been working well because mine has.. I have 2 bonus weeks each year and I use the preferred website to book them because I was also given some sort of credit each year to book vacations and my weeks end up being like $250 total, granted some bigger rooms are a bit more but still $250 for a week? That's pretty cool, I would talk to your sales rep so have him help you because mine did.
Common Complaints:
Salesperson has client sign a waiver giving up their 5 day right to cancel as it is a special one-day only offer. This is illegal in Mexico.
Salesperson promises to sell their old timeshare to offset the cost of the new timeshare. In the end the client is referred to a resale company that does not sell the old timeshare and the client is stuck with two timeshares and the maintenance fees for both properties. http://www.timesharescam.com/

This sounds like a variation on our experience with Pueblo Bonito. The property at Sunset Beach is great. We had a great week there. However, the timeshare folks lie through their teeth. If anyone has a valid e-mail address for Eddie (Eddy?) Childers I would love to have it. I've tried the one I was given on the phone today and that doesn't work. I've tried a few others and they've bounced, too. On the phone the lady I spoke with insisted it was "Eddie". No joy. I've tried "Eddy", as in eddychilders1@gemail.com and that hasn't been returned as bad. So we'll see.
BTW, the rental options were a selling point in 2006. That hasn't worked yet and all attempts at communications have been ignored. This time the claim was that they would take a membership in a different timeshare as payment. That hasn't happened, they won't answer e-mails and I now have the payment book in hand. If it weren't for the good experiences we've had staying in Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas I'd blast the whole operation. But, the timeshare people make used car salesmen look like paragons of virtue. Buyer beware.

My husband and I were on vacation in Cabo San Lucas for our wedding anniversary in 2006. We attended a timesahare presentation and we were subjected to a high pressure, and very convincing presentation, by a salesman called COREY LOWE.
We felt manipulated in believing that we were making a great financial investment even after we expressed to Mr. Lowe that we already had a Timeshare and we were in no postion financially to purchase another Timeshare. We were told that we had to make a decision as we would not be able to purchase at this price in the future or execute the contract at a later date without traveling back to Mexico to sign the necessary paperwork.
Seeing that we were stll hesitant, Mr. Lowe decided to show usaround the resort by pointing out the amenities such as the spa, restaunrants, pools and floor plans. After the tour, we were escorted once again to the patio where the high pressure presentation began. After being pitched to for over, Lowe assured us that we were making a sound financial decision and stated that we wpuld be missing out on a a chance of a lifetime because Cabo San Lucas is the most popular destination to vacation in the world and that not only could we rent our unit for a sustancial fee we would have no problem renting it out because there is a waiting list for Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach.
I have numerour times tried to rent and sell my Timeshare. In desperation of getting out of this contract payed listing companies (companies that Mr. Lowe said are the best) who promised us they could help us, only to find that they too were scamming us. This purchase has cuased us financial hardship and no longer are we able to pya the maintenance fees.
We need to warn as many people as we can, please If someone have information about this business, please contact me back, I will appreciate it.

We were lied to when we bought a time share from pueblo bonito sunset beach save your money.
I had the exact same experience! Carey is a liar! I'm embarrassed and appalled that I got scammed!
any sale associate that is willing to sell you a membership with the purpose to renting it out is because its running out of excuses to sell you the membership, if the sale associate will allow you to read the contract before signing it, there is a clause stating that if you are doing the purchase of the membership for the solid purpose of invest to get money out of it, that you should reconsider the purchase at all.
here is an article talking about the lies and the real facts about the rental business of the timeshare

Mr. Lowe,
If you have worked for this company for 11 years, maybe you can help me resolve my situation with Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach. My husband and I also purchased a timeshare. We did not feel overly pressured, but we were promised things that we now find out are not true. I hate to have sales people slandered for no reason, so maybe you can enlighten us.
Mark Schaub was our salesman, he sold us a bi annual jr suite, plus 4 bonus weeks per year allowing us to rent
at these prices: jr suite $50 per night, 1 bedroom $75 per night, 2 bedroom $100 per night and penthouse suite $125 per night at any affiliated location. We specifically looked in the San Diego area and assured me that a Dana Point was included in the 4 bonus weeks. He told us we could also stay our 4 bonus weeks at the Sunset Beach, Blanco or Rose for these prices or hundreds of other locations in the book he provided us.
We are now being told that they cannot give these prices at all. We do not have 4 bonus weeks, all we can do is sign onto the Premier website and see what we can find. I even have an email from Mark Schuab stating specifically that we have 4 BONUS WEEKS.
Pueblo Bonito should not allow their sales people to flat out lie to sell a timeshare. We only purchased the time share to rent out in the rental program (supposedly guaranteed) and to use our 4 bonus weeks. Now we have a jr suite at a resort that we really did not want to stay at and NO bonus weeks, which was our reason for purchasing.
Mark Schaub does not work for Pueblo Bonito any longer and so will not help us resolve this. The front desk just keeps telling us to call Premier, who does not recognize any such thing as 4 bonus weeks.
Can you offer us some professional guidance in order to maintain your positive reputations as Pueblo Bonito sales reps?
thank you EV USA, You are absolutely right. If people only bought things they NEEDED, the world would be a pretty boring place. The fact that there are timeshares that you can rent means someone like like me sold them one. The reality is that 99% of my owners are happy, and return to Cabo every year for vacation
Carey Lowe, Cabo San Lucas
I just wanted to say that we own 1 week at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach and we absolutely love it. We will be returning for our 2nd time as owners and 3rd time in Cabo. Outside of the noisy transports that run up and down from building to building and the high prices for food you can't beat Publo bonito Sunset Beach. As far as Corey and the rest of the sales sharks they are making a living trying to sell you something that you don't need; every place in Mexico that we have stayed uses the same high pressure sales people and tactics to sell their product. They lie and and then try to demean you into buying, some people fall for it and others walk away with or without the free stuff and a $14000 to $240000 timeshare that they will use or won't. My advice to anyone traveling to Mexico, keep your wit about you and walk away if you begin to feel the pressure. Enjoy the free meal and if you are really interested in vacationing in Mexico look at alll the timeshares and condos for rent or for sale for a fraction of the asking price. You bought it, enjoy it. The reality is that Carey Lowe and the other Carey Lowes get this complaint constantly but he has a job because he got you to buy that extra thing that you don't really need or want and chances are that this isn't the first time you have purchased something you don't really need or want.
EV USA
No, Ms Garry, this salesman is protecting himself from your slanderous statements regarding his character. I have worked for this company for 11 years and this is the first time I have had to do so.
I find it a bit strange that you have taken a full 3 years to decide to slander your salesperson (with whom you have never tried to contact and discuss your dissatisfaction) who prides himself on selling a first-class product such as Pueblo Bonito at Sunset Beach. The resort has and continues to rate as one of the top resorts in the world by both RCI and Conde' Nast traveler as well as top ratings on Trip advisor. Many of our owners have had great success renting their weeks on such websites as VacationRentalsByOwner or RedWeek.com. And there are numerous timeshare resale companies out there and I'm sure they don't appreciate being slandered either.
