I am a subscriber to Bottom Health Line magazine (which I must say is very informative). It shocks me to see all the problems people are having. Well, I must say that they did send me some post cards to get a "free" book, but if you read on there they state tha they send books to you thereafter. However, I noticed on there that it says "30 day trial" So you have 30 days to review the book & if you don't like it I would suggest to sent it back certified mail.
However, for the people that just got books without requestion them, I would suggestion contacting their customer support:

Have you contacted their customer support to discuss these details?

Did you try to call their corporate office? You should really do that, especially if that is what the advertisement said. It would be nice if you had a copy as well and you could forward it to the BBB.
Pablo
Well obviously if they don't give you a few days to think about it & they don't refund your money if no services are performed then there are some serious issues!
Pablo
Is it still under warranty? Why not get if fixed?
Did you see how much it would cost if not on warranty? That would be helpful to make a decision.
Pablo
Unfortunately you have to read the "fine print" because you usually will get into a contract, click on their website and there should be a TERMS OF SERVICE click on that and it should tell you how to cancel and if they accept returns (most of the time they don't). That's how most of these people get their money & won't allow returns, I would definitely suggest to dispute it through your credit card.
Pablo
Have you tried to go through Paypal or eBay to dispute the item? Usually they can be helpful, if not then leave the seller negative feedback if he/she doesn't want to accept the return of the product
Pablo
Did you read their Terms of Service (TOS)? Usually that "free" sample will enter you into a subscription service where they keep sending you products each month. You should read it & see what steps you need to take to cancel the subscription
Pablo
I believe you genuinely wrote that letter & in fact you described the situation very well Mrs Koonce, since it appears that Coon's didn't take you seriously, did you think about sending a copy of your letter to their corporate office? Hopefully the workers can assist you further with this situation :)
Pablo
Andrea, you write such a wonderful event & I truly understand what you are going through. What I have found that can help (sometimes) is if you could possibly type in a letter format what you wrote on here and send it to the corporate office of MDG Computers then perhaps someone will respond to your concern. What they should do is a) provide you with a longer life batter, b) if a) cannot be done then they should give you a few extra spare batteries, c) if a) nor b) can be done then they should allow you to do an exchange, d) if none of the above can be done then they should give you some store credit. I do apologize for the situation & I hope they will respond to you soon.

How about contacting corporate Quizno's office? That sounds terrible & I can't believe your manager would do such a thing!
Pablo
Have you contacted them to find out what these charges are for? Did you sign up for a free trial with them or another company? I found their website as being:
http://www.pmidentitycom-program.com/888-840-6301_PMIdentity.Com.html
I have had a similar thing happen to you. First, let me quote about from the Federal Trade Commission:
"One caveat: if a consumer asks a company not to call, the company may not call, even if there is an established business relationship. Indeed, a company may not call a consumer - regardless of whether the consumer's number is on the registry - if the consumer has asked to be put on the company's own do not call list."
(Taken from: https://www.donotcall.gov/faq/faqbusiness.aspx#who )
Therefore I would write via registered mail to Time Warner in writing quoting the above section from The Federal Trade Commission's Do Not Call List that you have a right to ask them to not share your number or call about "special offers" from Time Warner. Give them thirty days when you receive the letter, and if they still continue I definitely would talk to a lawyer and/or the FTC.
Well you must owe something, did you ask them about the debt such as what company they are trying to collect for?
Pablo.
Have you checked your credit report to see if there are any accounts you don't recognize? Perhaps there is someone opening accounts in your name?
Did you go over the details of the account such as the service address, the phone number, and the last four of the SSN? Does the SSN match yours? If so, then you need to file a fraud dispute with AFNI. If there is no SSN and the name is similar to yours, then you need to write AFNI stating that they have the wrong person because there isn't a SSN and that isn't your account.
Pablo
Charlene, have you tried to discuss the matter further with the owner or the Burger King corporate office?
Pablo
Dear Mister Soriano:
If you feel that you are not being treated fairly, how about contacting Verizon Corporate Office in New York? I believe it's listed in their website in the section "contact us". I wish you the best with resolving these issues.
Pablo
How about asking for a replacement laptop since they changed so many things on your laptop?
Pablo.
Dear Mrs Her:
There was probably a terms of service (TOS) which described that in order to receive the report you were enrolling in a subscription service, right?
You should ONLY get your free credit reports through the US government website which is http://www.annualcreditreport.com, you are allowed one per year through that website. You can also request them directly through the credit reporting agencies: www.transunion.com (Transunion), www.equifax.com (Equifax), and www.experian.com. You are ONLY charged if you want to know your credit score. If you only want the report, you aren't charged.
Mrs. Her you have to be aware and read all the "fine print" because that is where all the trouble comes from. People think it's "free" but don't read the terms of service. Then they think they've been ripped off, but it had on the website right there that you are enrolling in their program.
It looks like 360 Share Pro services, ref to previous discussion on here:
If you don't agree with the charges you should dispute with your credit card company
Pablo
Dear Kevin:
Evidently your parents didn't pay the bill & it went into a collection status. Since you are now 18 the hospital has referred the account to NCO to collect for them. You would need to talk to your parents on why they didn't pay the bill.
Pablo
How much did you pay in full (PIF) account? Was there two US Department of Education loans? Did you settle in full (SIF)? Are you sure you didn't PIF the wrong amount? You and your lawyer need to contact customer service and express that you have proof where you PIF (or SIF whichever is the case). And why wouldn't you see on your credit file that it was unpaid? Don't you run your report EVERY year? I'm not saying it's your fault, but if you caught it earlier then it could have been resolved way back then. I would make sure that the Department of Education corrects the error as soon as possible.
Pablo.
