It would be nice to inform customers with a sign right outside the lobby of this.
The person I was talking to offered no answer to my question why the restaurant could not post a sign somewhere notifying all the customers online to pickup food that they were out of sandwiches. The other alternatives were much more expensive.

Desired outcome: This Popeyes location should inform customers of any major menu items that are unavailable. With all the competitors keeping regular customers should be very important. They did not even have a sign up that the lobby was closed
