PlayerAuctions scam, fraud, not safe to use.

Any one out there do not purchase game accounts from this site. I recently purchased two accounts from the site, first account was recovered sent and email to their customer support team member Jacob who I first contacted about an Issue before this. Later than week no response still from him another account I had purchased had been recovered by the original owner. I then went on to the live chat and they said to contact [protected]@playerauctions.com about the matter so I did. Now it has been over two weeks with no response regarding any of the matters. The company seems to be very quick to take your money but when an issue occurs like this they don't want to know you or follow the agreements to their very own company policies that are stated on the website. I will be contacting various sources to find out what legal liabilities are available to me. So basically yea if your going to use the site be careful especially buying game accounts. Especially when the Sellers that I bought the accounts from are re-selling the exact same game accounts that I purchased on their site.

Meant to post that on someone else's thread about the company. Funny how things work after posting this then:

PlayerAuctions they mess up my trading hours and do nothing about it

I constantly get this bug on playerauctions where they f* up my trading hours and this is the kind of response I get when I try to get help... unbelievable

Please wait for a site operator to respond.

You are now chatting with 'Andro'

Your Issue ID for this chat is LTK536010358800X

Andro: Hello, matt! How may I help you?

matt: My trading hours are clearly set from 11 AM to midnight

matt: yet this has to be like the 10th time I've had someone start in order with me in the middle of the night

matt: at 1:30 AM this time

Andro: I see. May I know what is your concern?

matt: I'm getting sick of this and I want this bug to be fixed

matt: I have to pay fees every time someone cancels an order

Andro: May I have your order ID please?

matt: 389018

Andro: One moment please while I check the details for you.

Andro: Thanks for waiting.

Andro: Sorry for any inconveniences you may have experienced.

PlayerAuctions beware scam alert!

I bought an account in december of last year it got reclaimed by the scammers at the beginning of march. I also purchased the so called player protection (Insurance) they did their investigation and guess what... This is a big suprise... They cannot credit my account! What a scam these people have going. I am suprised paypal has not revoked their status as a vendor with the amount of complaints I know they must recv. I wish I would have found a site like this before I bought the account. After reading many many complaints it is obvious that they give you a little over 90 days to build up gold on the account. They have all the account info they need to change the password and access your account steal your gold and sell it. The reason they give you a little over 90 days is because they know you can't dispute a transaction with paypal after 90 days. Believe me I tried everything from paypal to my cc company no dice... Do not buy an account from this web site it will undoubtedly get reclaimed. And there will be nothing you can do about it! I hope this complaint finds someone and keeps them from becoming another victim!

PlayerAuctions scam

I bought an account this past November. Paid for the account and saw that there was insurance offered by PlayerAuctions that would reimburse me credit if the original owner ever took back the account. So I purchased this as well which covers the account for up to a year. Well in the beginning on April it was accessed by someone other than me and had the email and password changed so I could no longer access the account. Being that I have all sorts of anti spyware, malware, adware, and firewalls to protect me from my machine being hacked I have placed the blame of the original account holder. I wrote to PlayerAuctions and filled out their questionaire so they could "immediately" start "investigating the issue". It's now the end of April, 24 days since I reported this to them and I have yet to get a response. All they do is give me the run around or ignore me completely. So now I'm pretty much have lost the account, my money, and my time dealing with a company that hides behind a false service. Please do not do business with these scam artists or you will be ripped off down the road.

the sellers also lose. They've ###ed up my trading hours so it sais I'm avilable from midnight to like 11 AM when my trading hours actually are 11 AM to midnight, so that I randomly get people starting orders with me at 3 in the ###ing morning. then I get order cancellation fees I'm supposed to pay and when I contact them about how it is an unfair fee they either can't understand what Im saying or pretend not to and just tell me that
"Hello Matt, We have checked your order 360465 and have to say that we could not remove the refund commission fee for you. Please be noted that seller available time is different from delivery guarantee time. You’d better take this kind of situation into consideration when you post offers. Thanks. Same exact boat as you guys as well.

1. Account gets recalled
2. They ask you to fill out this 50+ question form
3. They then email you back days later saying they will compensate you after they investigate.
4. They never reply.
5. You then have to beg them for a reply.
6. They reply saying they can't help you.

People are insane to use this site. All they do is guarantee you will receive the account information. After that, you're on your own regardless of what their policy says.

Playerauctions: Win
Buyers: Lose

PlayerAuctions playerauctions insurance scam

I have been a playerauctions customer for more than year now and have purchased insurance on every game account that I have bought from playerauctions, the last 2 accounts were banned by the publisher after the previous owner had reclaimed the accounts, the first time playerauctions I only had the account for 3 weeks and pa refunded me but the second time I had only played the account for 2 weeks and pa has refused to give me a refund giving me different reasons why each time I provided them new evidence. 1st time they said its because the original owner reclaimed the account and he is not the seller so no refund, I then presented them evidence whereby the seller told me he was the original owner, then it took them a long time to respond, by the time they replied to my evidence, the account was banned (4 days after the reclaim), and they told me oh sorry we cannot give you a refund because the seller no longer has control of the account (doh it was banned because of him). so basically I lost $500 after paying an extra $50 for a useless 1 year player protections insurance. I understand that playerauctions is a business and they make $ from the sellers but they took my $50 (which is more $ they made from the seller from this sale) and in a case where I was clearly scammed by a dodgy seller, playerauctions also scammed me by their false insurance policy.

PlayerAuctions major refund delay

I've been a big PlayerAuctions customer for years now and although I have had a few minor issues, it has been the best service for it's purpose by far.in August I used the website to puchase an account for $1700.00. With their new restrictions on large purchases in place (I am told over $500 is a large purchase), you cannot use a simple Paypal payment any longer. Instead, you must issue an e-check or similar payment depending on what is available in your region (I am in the US).

So after I bought the auction I was unable to complete the payment screen for an echeck. The echeck takes a few days to clear and was sent on 8/18. On 8/19 the buyer cancelled his auction and no longer wished to sell it. I contacted PlayerAuctions and was told I had to wait until the echeck clears until it can be refunded. On 8/24 it cleared and they told me I had to wait up to 24 hours for the team responsible to issue a refund or allow me to switch the order to a comparable item. I decided on just a full refund. I never heard back on when this would be complete so a couple of days later I contacted support and was told again I had to wait up to 24 hours for the team responsible to contact me. I ended up at this point opening a paypal dispute so that they could not withdraw the funds which seemed to work.

The next day I get a call saying that the funds are on hold and they cannot refund it and for me to contact Paypal. I call paypal and they confirm it is on hold because I put in a dispute, but that they can easily refund me my money by going into the dispute and refunding it. I e-mail PlayerAuctions to inform them on this but never heard anything back. Over the next few days I kept following up and was told the team responsible would have to e-mail me back within a day. On 9/8/2010 I contact PlayerAuctions again on their online chat and was told that the reason I was never refunded was because they will not issue a refund with an open dispute. They ask me to close the dispute and then they will refund me. I told them that there is no way I could do that since Paypal is against closing disputes until the money is in your account. At this point I escalated my dispute to a claim and on 9/9/2010 I get a call from PlayerAuctions asking if I wanted a refund or credit. I explain that I requested a refund originally and still want that.

I am currently waiting on an update on this but to this day, there is no update on Paypal's dispute from PlayerAuctions. I was told that if I raise this dispute to a claim and persue it, my account would be cancelled. Honestly, I have no idea why this is such a big deal on PlayerAuctions end when I simply want a refund on something that was cancelled in the first place. I have no idea why this takes so long especially since the money is still in Paypal and couldn't be withdrawn. I have a very high feedback on the site with plenty of purchases and sales. Unfortunately, they do not seem to care about this and have been very shady about wanting to return my money.

I doubt anyone from PlayerAuctions will be on here but I really hope they do refund me without any more of a hassle.

Paid $82.28 for an account. After 24 hours account information was not received. I filed for a refund. Now they are saying that it takes over 2 days to received any type of refund. I do not know if this is the new china or what. This has to be one of the most poorly ran companies I have seen so far. I have been in this type of business for years, and have never come across a company that is ran this bad. I would never do business with them ever again. How many companies out there say to you "Oh well you gave us your money but we are going to hold onto it for a few days before giving it back." If I had to rate this company. It would be a "F".

PlayerAuctions incompetent and insulting

Do not touch these guys. They wasted 2 days first telling me there was a problem at my end, and to check Paypal/bank. Then admitting it was their problem, and asking me to cancel and resubmit. That bit is the same as your other reviewer but it gets worse!

Then finally I get a call from 1am from a barely audible Indian callcentre asking me for my passport... no, really... Would you send a goldseller your passport - seriously! When I refused the muppets then deleted my account for policy violation. Too late to sort everything out, I lost the deal there

Did I mention the waste of time in getting 3 other ID validations (phonex2, plus validated Paypal) and the fact they insist on passport ID, don’t accept credit cards (I assume someone else doesn’t trust them!), and call you at stupid times with ridiculous requests.

Two days of hell. Dont even think of going there, ever.

PlayerAuctions scams, misleading, arrogant

A year ago I sold a video game account through playerauctions. Everything sounds good right? Wrong... The guy I sold the account to got hacked and decided to complain about ME to playerauctions. I figure they won't care since it's been a year but they foolishly decide to freeze the money that was already paid for by another account over his complaint. A few days later the guy realized he actually did get hacked and told playerauctions. I used my own time and restored the account for him anyways, so everything is fine and well right? Wrong...

So now they are taking money (over $600) that isn't theirs for an account I already sold. So I go to their "live chat" and get the same person no matter what hour of the day it is and receive copy/pasted responses to every question. After much frustration I call their 800 number. Low and behold I get a fax machine signal. I call back another day... same thing, I try again later same thing.in otherwords their posted live chat and telephone customer service are outright lies. Test it for yourself at http://www.playerauctions.com if you don't believe me. Click on Contact Us at the top and call that number, then try live chat and tell me your not getting lied to.

I finally go through their last option... email. Over a week later I get a response "The issue is being investigated." So let me get this straight, you guys are holding the money of an account hostage over a completely separate issue? You do realize I can make a few phone calls and freeze every account I've ever sold over this insolence right? Weeks of copy/pasted emails later I get nothing resolved, it seems they were just stalling me as long as possible until I'd gave up and let them keep my money. What exactly can you do to a Korean company stealing from you? The answer is very little, they can and do do whatever they want to their customers meanwhile having nonexistent customer service. So they force me to screw over the person I just sold the account too (after all no one gets an account from me I didn't get paid for). Even after the person that just got screwed out of an account threw a sh* fit they still didn't release my money.

I'd like a playerauctions rep to respond to this one, tell us why it's ok for you to clearly pretend like you have customer service on your site but don't? Tell us why it's ok for you to gamble with other peoples accounts because one guy gets hacked? Playerauctions not only takes up to 30% of your auction prices for themselves (with last minute charges conjured from thin air) but will use any excuse they can to "hold" your money until you give up. Do not deal with this company when it comes to anything even remotely expensive. If they could keep their hand out of the cookie jar they could sit back and watch people make them money. But for them to have the arrogance to do something like this will only spell doom for them, hopefully sooner then later.

PlayerAuctions not recieving payment

I sold my WoW account on Playerauctions.com about 4 days ago today. Starting today, I am unable to load the site on any computer in my house. I had friends go onto the website to check my order status. The Order had been terminated and I have yet to receive my payment of $332 from the website.

Some help would be nice here.

PA is demanding unaltered, color digital copies of US Driver's License, Passport or credit card billing statements to verify my transactions. I have carried out 7 transactions with no problems whatsoever. I find this type of fraud prevention to be counter productive, as it releases highly sensitive personal documents (including a picture) to unmonitored third parties. Additionally, after repeated emails to the company asking why they needed this information or if there was any alternative they failed to respond. Realistically, a simple phone call between the company and myself would have erased any concerns that they may have had regarding the validity of this transaction.

Hi Jake,

My PA name is Magnetix and I also sent you an email that you already answered.
Thanks for that.
The 72 hour waiting period will end in about 4-5 hours. Will I be getting my payment by Friday? Or how does the disbursement queue work?

Thanks

@ Wooglie

Hi Wooglie!

Thanks for providing your PA account name, I was able to look up the information. I do want to firstly say, sorry about the delay in response, normally our primary venue for helping members is via our direct email or live chat service.

I can see that there is only one order posted to your account which was completed on on 5-11 (which would have been 5-12 for our Finance queue). For first time sellers, disbursements typically are released between 2-3 business days as stated on our website here: http://www.playerauctions.com/help/content/seller-fees-disbursements/#639

As it is likely that your payment entered the queue at the tail end of that Wednesday, it is possible that it was simply carried over to the next disbursement queue which didn't make it for the Friday disbursement and therefore wound up in the queue for disbursement on the following Monday. From looking at the account, it appears that we have indeed sent payment on that Monday the 17th.

I see that your complaint here was registered on 5-11, which is the same day that the order was completed. As you may be a new seller, you may not have been aware that there is a disbursement schedule depending on seller rank (which is understandable since our help section has A LOT of information). Next time, if you have an issue with an order, I'd welcome you to contact our customer service agent's via our live chat service, as they would be more than delighted to help you with any issue.

If you need any further assistance, please do not hesitate to let us know: communications@playerauctions.com

Cheers,
Jake A

@ Magnetix,

Hi Magnetix! Has your issue been resolved? If not you can contact me at the above displayed email address. Provide me with either an order # or account name, and I'd be happy to help!

PlayerAuctions false advertising and very bad service

I have been a solid customer of PlayerAuctions with 26 positive feed backs. I opened a ticket back in 1/03/2010 because an account I bought from PlayerAuctions was taken back by the seller.
At first I was told it would take "15" business days. For the past 4 months I have sent dozens of emails waiting for my credit. I have sent any and all emails and screen shots that I have and that were asked for. The support at PlayerAuctions seems to keep loosing my emails as they will ask me for the exact same information a month later. the last contact I had with PlayerAuctions was an email saying:

On Wed, Apr 14, 2010 at 9:14 PM, PlayerAuctions Support wrote:

Sorry for the delay of replying.

We are contacting the seller to solve this problem.

We appreciate if you could provide us more one to two weeks.

Thanks for your cooperation and patience.

The PlayerAuctions Specialist Team
www.PlayerAuctions.com

Once again after 4 months of waiting I have yet to see my credit. I an am I. T. professional with 15 years experience by trade and I know how to keep my PC clean so there is no risk of my machine being infected.
There are several Warcraft accounts logged into on my machine and none of them have had any issues. Only the one account from PLayerAuctions. Regarding the account that was stolen... I am able to log in to the battle.net account that I created and had the account associated with. My password was NOT changed. The problem is that when I logged into the battle.net account Blizzard showed a message that said "There is no account associated with this battle.net account" If I were hacked they would of changed my password. Only the original owner would be able to call Blizzard and have the Warcraft account changed to a different battle.net account. If you call Blizzard and do this today you will NOT get an email at the old email address saying it has been changed. Try it if you don't believe me.

It would be really nice to get this taken care of after waiting for over 4 months now. If anyone knows a way to contact someone at PlayerAuctions please let me know.

Thanks,

Another update, Jake followed through and had a person from trust@playerauctions contact me and initiate an investigation. Once I sent in the requested information to assist in the investigation PlayerAuctions was able to get back to me with a solution in about a week. True to PlayerAuctions advertised service of replacing an account if your account is covered under the Player Guardian. PlayerAuctions investigated my case and have asked me to search for a replacement account which PlayerAuctions will pay for. At this point in time I have chosen a replacement account and I have notified PlayerAuctions of the account and I am currently in discussion with the seller about pricing and account details.

So... So far so good. Jake, Justin and the team at playerAuctions have certainly done a great job helping me out. For all the nay sayers out there as far as I am concerned PlayerAuctions have honored what they said they would do. I wished it had not taken so long and had not gotten off to such a rotten start. However at this time it seems all is ending well. I will post an update once this is closed and I have my replacement account and let everyone know the final results.

I sold a Game Account from game Tera Online. The buyer is satisfied, he gave a positive feedback to me, but after 1 month I still didn't receive my money from Player Auctions. I contacted them several times. My e-mails were ignored and the Live Chat support always ask for order ID and then they just leave the chat after some minutes without response. It is really frustrating, now I have no account and no money. Some hours ago I just receive an e-mail that I sold another account, but I won't send login details to the buyer. He has no fault about what happened, but I just can't trust on Player Auctions, since they can hold my money again without reason.

PlayerAuctions not fulfilling guarantee of accounts sold

I purchased a account on Player Auctions in Nov 09 for $550 plus the insurance on the account for another $125. Ya I know its alot of money but playing clears my head. My son passed away last year and I look forward to playing to keep my mind busy, probably to much info but anyways. Three weeks ago my account was inaccessible. Then I get a email from Blizzard stating that someone called in and provided all the right info on the account. So needless to say that joker logged in left the guild I was in and is now running around with all the hard work I have put into gearing him. I immediatly informed PA and they sent me some packet thing to fill out to help assist me in retrieving the account. I did EXACTLY and EVERYTHING they told and asked me to do, screenshots, Blizzards emails EVERYTHING. The last email I recieved was over a week ago and still no resolution to this issue. Now I email them almost everyday and guess what? STILL NOTHING. I did get a hold of the original owner and he stated he didnt do it. Come to find out he is NOT the original owner of the game account, it was given to him by a friend who he no longer speaks with. Hell he even tried to call Blizzard to help me out but he didnt have the answer to the security question because I changed it. Now Blizzard wants a form to be filled out with a COPY of the ORIGINAL owners ID oh and also you have to get it notarized, which guess what I CAN'T do. I have read ALOT about PA today, MOSTLY BAD but some good. I am hoping by posting here that maybe this issue will be resolved. If anyone out the can shed some insight on this issue I am having please email me at [protected]@yahoo.com

That seems to be a necessary evil when you purchase an account online.. I have had friends that have sold and bought online accounts, and I can say that I would never purchase a player account online just from their experiences and I believe it's kinda "cheating" in my eyes at least.
The problem with this type of "third party product(s)" is the account/product is not a tanagable item, and the service they provide is frowned upon by blizzard and most likely considered a breach of the user agreement.

If you recieve any kind of assistance from Player auctions or whatever I would be very suprised. I would bet my money that they are just, "going through the motions". As for the individual that sold you the account, I would bet he and his pal that never speak to each other, actully have scammed you..

Maybe Player Auctions might actually come through for you, maybe not, but I think in the back of your mind you should consider just accepting the fact that you are out of $675 dollars and move on. I know this must seem like a cruddy ending, or that I am favoring one party or another but it is the most realistic outcome, without dragging the situation out for weeks or longer..

I wish you luck though man and I am sorry for your loss.

I recently bought an account on playerauctions and the original owner managed so steal the account back after we had paid for it. This has happened two times. PlayerAuctions theft & poor customer service

I placed an order on PlayerAuctions.com and they took my money without ever completing the order. After I placed the order and when I didn't hear the expected response, I decided to check the status. When I went to their website, my account showed zero orders pending. Even though I have receipt from PayPal for a completed transaction.

There is no way to contact PlayerAuctions.com other than their online chat support. When I got a hold of a rep there, he told me his system showed the transaction as failing. I ended the chat and called PayPal in person. Yes, there are humans in customer service at PayPal. PayPal told me the money was there and was just waiting on the seller to capture it.

This is an important point to note... PayPal and my bankcard company BOTH saw the money go through! It was NOT declined by PayPal or the bank. PlayerAuctions.com said it failed but that is according to their "system" < — whatever the heck that means!

I then went back to PlayerAuctions.com and told the chat support rep that PayPal showed the money there. The rep wanted nothing to do with what I was saying. So I called PayPal back and they said the merchant either needs to accept the payment or void the transaction. The PayPal agent even gave me a telephone number PlayerAuctions.com could use to call PayPal directly and resolve this problem.

I went back to PlayerAuctions.com and they wanted nothing to do with voiding the transaction.in fact, the rep was very argumentative with me. Keep in mind, I have a receipt, an invoice number, and PayPal themselves have all said this transaction was completed. But PlayerAuctions.com refuses to acknowledge any of those facts.

PlayerAuctions.com told me I would hear a response within 8 hours as this "complex issue needed to be escalated".

I asked him to call PayPal and he refused. PlayerAuctions.com just cannot keep my money... they should either complete the transaction or issue a refund. He then said I would hear a response within 12 hours.

I then asked what harm could be done in calling PayPal to void a transaction which PlayerAuctions.com already claimed failed. I was them told I'd hear a response within 24 hours.

8 hours came and went — no response from PlayerAuctions.com.

12 hours came and went — no response from PlayerAuctions.com

24 hours came and went — no response from PlayerAuctions.com

When I went back to PlayerAuctions.com and started another chat session, the next rep was even ruder and more argumentative than the first one. He refused to answer any of my questions because he said the "response time was still within the guaranteed window". Huh? How is 36 hours later still within 8, 12, or 24 hours? It's NOT!

So I'm out $45. PlayerAuctions.com has my money. When one gives another money, and the services or a refund are not provided, that is theft. As of the time of this writing, PlayerAuctions.com still has a hold of my money and they will not work with me nor PayPal to get it back. I’m going to have to wait a week and then file a grievance... then wait up to 30 more days for PayPal’s investigation to conclude... and then I’ll get my money back.

Apparently, the problems with customer service claiming a transaction has failed when money has been submitted, has been seen before. http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/playerauctionscom-c259445.html

PlayerAuctions.com is a scam; plain and simple. Again, and I cannot be any clearer on this, both PayPal and the bank recorded the transaction. PlayerAuctions.com cannot come to this complaint site and claim this was PayPal’s fault. The blame lies solely with PlayerAuctions.com!

My payments for playerauctions via paypal are going through, to quote paypal here is what they are saying: "Your order status is “Pending” because the merchant has received your order but hasn’t processed your payment yet. Most merchants will complete your order a few days after they receive it. Some merchants wait until they’re ready to ship your order. " Thus the problem is they can not go into their paypal account and simply click Accept next to the payment and manually push the process through. Customer support does not satisfy at all. Live support is unable to help with any payment issues as they are just given access to the same information I have. eMail support is not any better as they have been telling me the same thing over and over again. Phone support does not even exist.

Placed order and received 1 message from seller through the site even though I contacted him numerous times.Time expired on the guarantee delivery and I asked for a refund. All of a sudden the seller keeps sending messages and making excuses. He claimed delivery 2 hrs after order was placed yet hadn't even had contact with me at that point.
PA actually gave the guy 48hrs to produce screenshot's, after all that I get my refund. Here's the kicker, I couldn't leave any feedback and when I checked his feedback he had gotten positive feedback for the same product from someone else.

I'm convinced that PA protect's the seller if at all possible and gives them positive feedback when it should've been negative. They cover it up and give you a copy and paste answer in chat.I'm done with them.

My two cents is that PlayerAuctions is very risky for everything but power leveling (won't include currency because the sites that sell currency are always cheaper than PlayerAuctions).

The problem with PlayerAuctions is that they don't offer much more than what a forum or instant buying/selling site can do but instead have many flaws that make it riskier.

For Sellers, I wouldn't recommend PlayerAuctions. Why?

If you are selling an account;
- You pay 10% to 15% for what they could really do on a forum.
- It's easier to sell it to instant buy/sell website if they offer you a good price. These are always the best companies to go with as they are quick and easy to sell to.
- A forum is more secure as you get to choose who buys it, you can have them pay to go through a more secure and less strict middleman service, can actually ask them to pay my payment methods that are more secure (PayPal is not secure for virtual products), and it's much easier, and you don't need to be verified.
- You don't need to wait 3 to 7 days to get paid after the buyer buys it.
- There is so much competition selling accounts there that sellers may not be able to sell their products for months.

The only real benefit of selling with PlayerAuctions is that you can promote your product, and it's more organized than a forum is. Other than that, there isn't many other benefits worth your while.

For Buyers, I'd say PlayerAuctions is the worst place for selling accounts. Why?
- No protection (unless you pay for it which is extremely expensive). Even then, they can only give you an "exchange" not your money back.
- You can only complain to PlayerAuctions when done but not the seller which is very difficult to do and usually the seller doesn't care after he is paid.
- The seller can argue the account worked and you got it banned, or changed the password.
- Imagine buying a car from a car dealership which is an overseas company and shady. You buy the car, and the next day it's gone because the original owner took it back. You dispute it with the company overseas, but they don't care. You lose out on everything. That is no different from this situation as PlayerAuctions can't help you once the original owner takes it back. This can be prevented if you disputed it on a forum or account buying website as you sent it directly to them.
- PlayerAuctions is a Korean company with customer service in China. How risky is that? Very.

On the accounts side, the riskiest item to buy from them is accounts. I am surprised PlayerAuctions even supports accounts escrow because I only expect over time that the fraud rate is going to get much worse for PlayerAuctions and they will need to raise the fees on sellers to cover it. This happens a lot on PlayerAuctions

- Seller lists item
- Buyer buys it.
- Seller delivers it.
- Buyer confirmed payment.
- Done
- Buyer files chargeback.

- PlayerAuctions is out money. They can ban the buyers account, but that is all they can do. Very nice way to earn $ if you ask me which is why the middleman services in this industry will never work for accounts.

It gets worse for people who are sellers and take the account back after 60 days. PlayerAuctions can't do anything to the payment, the seller gets $ and the account, and the buyer is out all of his money.

For Currency, it's a good system in place to guarantee you get your gold, but honestly, if you want fast gold, just buy from a reputable website. There are about 3 dozen decent gold sites out there at the same cost but deliver within 1 to 4 hours, not 24 to 96 hours.

For Power Leveling, I would say that this is the best system for power leveling. With so many screw ups, minimal reputable companies out there, if a problem happens you could lose your account and the money. PlayerAuctions will at least protect one of those two things, and with a feedback system in place, buying from a reputable Leveler will help the reputation part.

Hi corn29,

My name's Jacob, and I am the Communications Manager here at PlayerAuctions.com. I read your post and wanted to give you a reply to offer my assistance in resolving this issue.

First and foremost I'd like to apologize for the poor customer service you received from our reps. We're a small team, but definitely trying to improve in any way that we can.

If you can provide me with your PlayerAuctions account name and the order # I would be happy to look into this before. Additionally, if you remember which agents you spoke to, provide me with their names so I can pull up their chat transcripts and see what went wrong.

Additionally, to expedite the process, you can e-mail me here: communications@playerauctions.com. E-mailing me directly will help move the process along more quickly.

Cheers,

As many of you know, PlayerAuctions is a site that use to be American, was sold to IGE, and then a Korean company bought it which has customer service now in China. I bought an account from this company and everything went smooth as promised on the site. After a few weeks, the original owner took back the account. I have been trying for a few weeks to...

PlayerAuctions false advertising

I bought two World of Warcraft accounts on Playerauctions.com, and was extremely worried about the security of a purchased account as the original owners can take them back relatively easily. However, playerauctions boasts about their "playerguardian" protection, in which you will get a complete refund in the form of a store credit in the event that an account is stolen back by the seller or becomes unrecoverable for a reason out of the buyers hands.

Both accounts that I bought were taken back by the original owners. Both characters were transferred back to their original servers with their original names, and only the original owners could have had the authenticator linked to each account disabled (you have to call Blizzard directly). I sent playerauctions screenshots, email records about the account information being changed etc... everything that I could possibly have short of an email saying "hello, I am the person who sold you the account and I have stolen it back".

I got the same reply from playerauctions about both accounts saying that there was not enough proof that the seller had taken the account back. They want evidence that simply does not exist, making it impossible for you to prove anything and get a refund. I have been a member of playerauctions since 2003 and have a 100% positive feedback rating for over 35 auctions (my name is Tarewmonk if you would like to check), and they couldn't care less about my satisfaction.

I don't expect to get a refund as I have already tried numerous times over the past couple of months, so I'm posting this as a warning to anybody who is looking to buy an account from playerauctions - there is absolutely nothing you can do if an account you buy is stolen back.
