Panera Bread systems down?

I was very disappointed today when I arrived at my favorite Panera location to redeem my reward for a free Breakfast sandwich. I traveled 25 minutes to get there, only to discover that "all systems were down" and my reward could not be redeemed. I then drove 15 more minutes to another Panera location in Stuart, only to get the same response. As my rewards expire in a few days, can you tell me when your systems will be rstored?

Panera Bread chicken noodle soup

I think if you are going to sell chicken and noodle soup that's what it should be.
If you are going to sell broth then that's what it should be.

Your chicken and noodle soup is not worth $15.99 because it is nothing but broth. This is so unfair, and I took a picture of the 2 tablespoons of ingredient they gave and the rest of cup was broth. I demand a refund.

Panera Bread falsely charged!

I ate at University Hills Panera Bread on Nov. 7th with my daughter. I paid at the counter. The bill was $27.85. I was double charged which I discovered when I checked my banking account online. I called the Panera I went to, and talked to the dumbest manager ever! Not helpful. I complained to corporate and got the run around. Never got a kind word. I made several calls, and it took a long time, and finally I got a refund. Tonight I looked at my banking account, and I have a charge from Panera Bread for $27.85 on Dec. 5th. I promise you I have not been back to a Panera, and NEVER will! I called and spoke to Denise at the corporate number. She said "file a dispute with your bank." You have the stupidest employees, and worst customer service I've ever encountered! Your food is over priced too! Please refund my money, and leave me alone. I'm 68 years old. I have leukemia. The stress is going to give me a stroke and kill me. I will bad mouth Panera as much as I can. Maybe the local tv stations would like to know how you treat people.

Panera Bread mediterranean sandwich and soup

I ordered this online requesting no cheese whatsoever as I'm allergic. I called the store and alerted them to take care of avoiding contact. I received my food with cheese on it so I was unable to eat the sandwich. And they put the soup into the bread bowl instead of the side container like usual, so the soup was cold and the bread extremely soggy. I paid almost $30 and I couldn't eat any of it. I tried calling the store but got no answer and I'm pissed. I under cross contamination may happen but they put cheese all over it even though the receipt even says no cheese and the service was horrible the food wasn't edible. I want a refund or something

Panera Bread what service??? worst panera in area

I realize that getting help to service food can be difficult. But why bother giving out
table trackers if you don't have anyone to deliver the food. That's what happened to us.

We waited and waited and notices so were a lot of other tables. I got up and found our now tepid soup sitting at the counter along with 4 other orders slowly cooling down. Tried to find a manager — none around but 3 staff. One making the food, one taking orders and one just looking bored and confused near the order area.

I am a Panera member and I do add a tip to my orders, and usually the Panera's I go to are decent with service. This one has never been, but this was the worst experience yet.

Panera Bread short in change operating without pennies.

I went to the Panera Bread in Chelmsford, MA to have a breakfast with my wife. it's was Monday November 19, 2019. The time was approx 9:10 am. I purchased an orange scone, handed her my cash for the transaction. when she gave me my change back she short me 2 cents telling me that she doesn't have pennies in her cash register. I told her ok no problem. she didn't apologize or ask me if I was ok not getting the exact change.
after having my coffee and my scone, my wife wanted to have a soup. I went to the same lady at the cash register. I purchased a soup and I got shorted 2 cents again. same reaction and same excuses like the first transaction. At this point I was furious and couldn't understand how a business like Panera Bread don't have pennies in their cash register assuming that is customer will be ok with not getting the exact change. how can you operate a business and not having change also not even trying to run to the bank and get change.
I asked to speak to the Manager regarding the change issue. The Manager in the name of luis told me that he can give me % cents to make me happy. He didn't get the point, it's not about the pennies it's about shorting all the customers in their change in a disrespectful way assuming that everyone will be ok. the reaction of the manager was very disappointing no sorry no acknowledge that he needed to correct the change situation. I am very disappointed with the way Panera Bread treat their customers shorting the customer on their hard earning with no justification. what happen if every customer is short 2 cents coming to Panera? camelo

Panera Bread veterans day

I looked on the internet and it said you did a deal for Veterans Day. I show up just to find out that your manager says only corporate does that. The cashier has no idea what is even going on and the manager is yelling the answers from the other side of the restaurant. I don't understand how corporate does the deal but this franchise does not. It just makes me not want to come back. There's no discount for military and the service was really rude.

Panera Bread customer service

My daughter and I went through the drive-thru at our local Panera this evening. After waiting 20 MINUTES to get up to the service window, we waited another five minutes before anyone bothered to come to the window. We could see the attendant & what appeared to be a male manager walking back & forth but not once offered even eye contact, much less a greeting.

Once the cashier finally opened the window, there was no "hello", nor apology after such a long wait. She asked what we had ordered and we could hear someone in the background say our food had been given to someone else. The cashier then looked blankly back at me and stated our order was $21.30. I paid for our food, waited another five minutes, and was handed the bag without a "thank you" or otherwise.

I expected at least an apology, at minimum. Most reputable establishments, especially with a manager on-site, would've offered some kind of extra (a cookie, gift card, something...) to help minimize the obvious debacle that had just occurred.

We LOVE Panera and have never had an issue with the staff. This particular location is known for a long wait in the drive-thru but tonight was way past unacceptable. I truly hope that someone looks into this.

Thank you,
Holly

Panera Bread check # 343283 ($44.97, 11/6/19, 5:54:46 pm

Worst restaurant experience, ever:

Party of four, placed order with Anaijah on 11/6/19 at 5:54:46 PM.

After 20 minutes, i checked with shift supervisor, Mya, regarding when the meals would be served.

Ten minutes later, again checked with Mya who was trying hard to expedite orders. She told me that they were trying their best to get the orders served. The kitchen staff appeared disorganized and communications among Mya and her staff was severly lacking.

We were among 10-12 other customers waiting for their orders. many of whom appeared to be upset about the long wait.

Mya told me that a kitchen crew had been let go and that their replacement swere not yet fully trained.

The food finally made it to the pick up counter but the food preperation and quality was not worth the long wait:

The two chicken Mediterranean bowls were tasty but consisted of far too much rice and quinoa. Perhaps the product should be renamed to "rice & quinoa with some chicken bowl.

The one-half toasted Tuscan chicken sandwich was served on a French baguette roll-- not on ciabatta as advertised. The sandwich was underfilled with the advertised ingredients and I had to take the top off to check if there was anything beteween the bread slices. The sandwich was served with another French baguette roll I was never offred chips or an apple instead. The vegetable soup, fortunately, was very good.

The mac and chees was extremely watered down. Mac and cheese soup?

During our extended stay in the store, we did not observe anyone wiping down tables in between use and the men's rest room was very dirty and messy. Clearly, it had not been serviced in some time. I observed the toilet paper holder was no longer on the wall, but was on the floor.

Please refund the cost of the meal. I have attached a photo copy of the receipt.

Thank you in advance for your considered response to this complaint. As you are aware, I am not alone in expressing an unfavorable experience, and I truly hope that Panera will take the necessary steps to turn things around.

Panera Bread about the service/workers

i was ordering at Panera Bread and the cashier Davena was being just being annoying and rude. Mid way she kept cutting me off saying "is that all" constantly. Which made me annoyed how she kept trying to rush me while i was still ordering more items. She then started giving off an attitude and left the front. Then once my order was ready the other girl in the front gave it to me and said "have a nice day" making it seem like my order was in complete. But once i got to my car and started driving i noticed that half my order was missing. i had to go back in and get the rest of my order which is something i shouldn't have done in the first place if my order was actually complete. Once i got to my car again i looked at my receipt of items and notice i still was missing a coffee. So i went in again angry how they still forgot to give me my drink. the girl said it was self serve with an attitude like i knew that, which should've been said at the cashier in case people didn't know that cause clearly that can happen. Once i got my coffee cup i saw they didn't even have the coffee i ordered out, a hazelnut flavored coffee. How are they going to let me order something they don't even have out already prepared. I was just so over it and i got my stuff and left quick regretting even picking such an expensive place that provided terrible service from the workers in the front. And to top that, i got home and started eating my sandwich and i went to go reach for the chips i ordered to go with it and it WASN'T even in the bag. Also, i definitely ordered a chocolatechip kitchen sink cookie and she gave me a regular cookie instead. My favorite meals from there and it wasn't even complete. I've been to other panera's and i've never had this constant mistake happen, only at the Panera at Somerset, Nj.

Panera Bread order pick up

Customer #[protected]. I have been getting 2 of the Tuesday Baker's Dozen packs every Tuesday for over 5 years. Used to call it in and then when the app came I order on line always for a 6:40AM pick up. But for the last 6-8 weeks I get there and it is not ready and I usually have to wait 10-30mins to finally get it. I really don't know what happened to this store (short employees, bad management) but it is now one of the worst run. Maybe they need a retraining class. I go to this one because its 1 mile from my work but I guess I need to find another company to get our bagels from.

Panera Bread u pick two lunch option

Hello panera bread,
Just read the article about the employee who exposed the mac & cheese preparation. Which indicated that the mac & cheese is actually frozen vs. Freshly prepared. While I personally know from working in the food industry years ago, that most foods are not actually fresh, instead they are either frozen or canned. It is close to impossible for restaurants, to maintain fresh foods, simply because food cannot be preserved long enough, to stay fresh. Nonetheless, i'm writing today to make someone aware, that I frequent panera bread often, and lately i've been disappointed. My order(s) (as evidenced by my profile) typically consists of a u pick two item". I normally visit on the days the cream of chicken & wild rice soup is served. Again, while I know it is not freshly prepared everyday, it is still my favorite. To accompany the soup, I select the cuban chicken sandwich.in order that the sandwich is prepared correctly, I write down how I would like it prepared. I specifically indicate, no sauces, no mustard, no may or any spreads.. Also w/no onions. I prefer meats, cheese, pickle's on straight croissant toasted, to go. For some reason, this is difficult to perfect. Because something is always wrong. Rather than bring the sandwich back, I just live with it. While I truly enjoy purchasing lunch from panera bread, & the occasional $1.00 off my purchase, it would be nice to have it prepared, as ordered.
Thank you,
Linda harris

One other thing, I do not think the Employee's should be consuming food, while preparing orders. With Cold & flu season upon us, it can be very unsanitary. Please ask the Employees to refrain from eating food, while they are working, in front of Customers. I observed this many time, especially at the Security Blvd location, in Baltimore, Maryland.

Panera Bread never get my order right

The last 4 times I have placed a rapid order pick-up with the Pittsfield Panera my order has not been right. They are always forgetting the bread, not putting meat on my salad when I order, I don't get the soup I ordered. I'm tired of every time we order there is something wrong. I am not one to complain and I know mistakes happen but today I ordered 1 bowl autumn soup, 1 bowl of broccoli cheddar soup, a full spicy thia salad, and a you pick 2 ( Caesar salad w/chicken, broccoli cheddar soup. I checked as I was leaving and they did not put my you pick 2 soup in the bag. When I politely asked for a cup a soup I was told " we ran out of that size container and they were in the back". So they filled it and I apologize feeling as though I was an inconvenience. When I got home I realized my Caesar salad had no meat and we did not receive and baguettes. I have giving it 4 chances so far every time I am unimpressed by how rude SOME of the staff is toward customers and how many times my order has been wrong. Like I said mistakes happen but in this case there is just too many mistakes to not leave a complaint.

Panera Bread lunch and breakfast

I go to this store about once a week and spend over $40 on breakfast and lunch. More often than not, the orders are missing something. Today, it was one of the sandwitches I ordered and the Croutons for the soup. Several times it has been the extra chicken we ordered for the salad. I started checking the orders myself, but that was a real inconvienence since I had to unpack the order and there was no good place to do that in the store. Today, I noticed the "Order Checked By" on the packing slip was blank and I don't think I have ever seen it filled out. I am disgusted! I am going to stop going to Panera.

Panera Bread rapid pick up

Placed order last night for pickup this morning at 7:30. Arrived at 7:25 but they hadn't started on my order. Was asked what kind of cream cheese I ordered even though it was on my ticket. After bagels were selected, reminded them I needed them sliced. After that was done, was asked to verify the order since my name wasn't on the ticket.

Would recommend special instructions and name of client be more prominent on ticket.

Panera Bread broccoli cheddar soup and bread

We used the drive thru and first was that the lights in the menu board were out, so I could not even see what was available to order. Next the Loudspeaker was up way too loud, so that the voice coming through was blaring and distorted. I ended up ordering a turkey with avocado, a group broccoli and cheddar soup, and a full baguette (heated). The total of my order was $26.51.
So, the broccoli soup came in 5 little bowls instead of the standard large bowl. The bread was NOT heated as ordered and it was stale. The sandwich was okay. I asked the girl at the window why the bread wasn't warm and she said that it would take 5 minutes... well I already waited 5min to get my order, so why...
Then she said that since she didn't heat the bread she threw in an extra bag of chips (which was the side I ordered with the sandwich). Well kettle chips are not my favorite. I just wanted the bread heated.
To top it off she didn't give me a receipt with the order.

Panera Bread sandwich was not right

I ordered a roast turkey avocado BLT and it had no avocado on it. Since it was a take out order I tried to call the store but no one answered the phone. The sandwich was delicious and the service was good but I was very disappointed not to get avocado on my sandwich. Just an aside, the squash soup is by far the best I've ever tasted. I am droning on because I was informed that my complaint had to be at least 350 characters long. I find that odd.

Panera Bread french onion soup

Today I went to my local Panera and was told that you D/C the French onion soup. That's my favorite soup and I'm very upset that you no longer offer it. It's one of the few soups that's not on my do not eat list. Additionally, it's one of the few soups at this location that's not swimming in added oil! The last time I tried your tomato soup it had so much oil added that I ended up tossing it out! 😢 so today I settled on 1/2 sandwich and 1/2 salad. Settled for almost $12.00? For that I could have gone elsewhere to crackerbarrel, Olive Garden, chic-fil-a. Next time, I will.

Panera Bread food and cleanliness

First of all, let me say that we will not be visiting your restaurant anymore mainly because you don't carry onion soup anymore. Your server told me it was not in season. ? Whomever in the world decided onion soup was a seasonal item. It is the only one of your soups that I like so there is no reason to patronize you now.

Secondly, every time we go into the Heath, Ohio venue, the tables might be cleaned off but they are never washed off. Eating here just spreads bacteria from one person to another. Not my idea of a relaxing time.

Your prices are also getting rediculous. The last visit totalled $21.21. My husband had a pick 2 (1/2 of a sandwich and small bowl of soup). I had a rice bowl. We drank WATER. We can receive full meals for this price with salad, potato and entree (sometimes even steak), at other eating areas.

Wishing you good luck because I foresee your bancruptcy in the near future.
