A couple of month's ago my teen-age son was hired by Panera Bread. He was very excited and told me often how much he enjoyed the job. I read their handbook and they claimed they were a good place to work because of the respect they showed for their employees. Soon enough we found out that they have no respect for their employees.
Female employees were referred to as 'the ###' by one of the managers. Then, things got worse. My son was working in the sandwich line in front of customers. It was a hot day, and he asked the female worker next to him what was wrong with the manager. She told him (my son) that she didn't know what was wrong with him(the manager). She then told my son that the manager was probably upset because she had told the manager that he should suck my son's dick! This female employee thought that making that statement to the manager was funny. My son left the store stunned and later called one of the other managers to explain why he had left work.
Now, logically, you would think that the female employee would get in trouble for making such a remark at work and that the manager she said it to would have done something about the trash mouth female employee. No way! This same manager was the one that referred to the female employees as '###' and he did nothing about it. My son registered a complaint with management and Panera started their 'trash the victim' nonsense.
My son was immediately suspended from work (that's what happens when you file a complaint at Panera's) and he was told there would be an investigation. The manager who was supposed to run the investigation then took three sick days off. To make a long sickening, story short they ended up firing my son after a week and a half of asking for written and signed reports from him.
Instead of cleaning up their house, they decided to pick on a teen-age boy. Wow! I think they deserve a place in the corporate Hall of Shame. I have told all of my friends, relatives and acquaintances the story (there are many) and I personally will trash them every chance I get.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I love the food and service at Panera Bread but am extremely disappointed to find my local outlet has stopped using cardboard containers for take-out salads and instead serving them in plastic. This is unnecessary and irresponsible toward the environment. Please re-institute cardboard containers.
I purchased a bagel $1.09 the cream cheese was $1.29! Ridiculous price. Seriously, they are free at hotel breakfasts. Cost $2.00 for a whole 8oz. Seems like you could charge .25$ and still make money.
No gluten free options to those who have food allergies, specifically Celiac.
We will no longer be going to Panera due to the switch to cookies only 99 cent add on at the Panera in sandston, va
Ordered this salad in the drive-thru, took it back to my office and the chicken was missing. Check #1371279
I got a grilled cheese from rapid pick up and the cheese and bread were not melted or toasted... thanks Panera
See pic below of my crappy soggy sandwich
I spent 30 dollars on Greek goddess salads and Mac and I didn't recieve dressing. Both meals went to waste because by the time I got home Panera was closed. I spent $30 on food we couldn't eat and I am livid. How do you not give dressing with a $10 salad?!?!
I ordered pick up for my husband
Choose 2
Ham cheese and chicken soup
Brought home and literally the soup was probably like 6 to 7 spoonfuls if that
Was terrible I couldn't believe what I paid for!
The money that I paid should not be a child's portion at all!
Thank you for your time
Thank you
Springfield nj 07081 rt 22 store is broken, 430pm on Sunday April 29th.Waited 30 min for a steak n cheese sandwich.Manager has no control of store, he was laughing at people that were complaining.I will never go there again and I hope one of the store district managers steps in and either retrains the employees or hires new ones.
ordered two egg, cheese bagels and there was a hair in one of the sandwiches. threw both out because I lost my appetite.
The salad that I received last night from to go order from Panera was extremely small and not the amount I should've been served for a large salad. On top of that, I received the wrong dressing.
The bacon that came on my turkey Bravo sandwich was disgusting. It was not cooked and all fat. looks just like the crap Subway serves. Has Panera lowered their standards? Don't buy anything with bacon on it!
I was given the wrong order twice recently. Had to go all the way back! When I returned and was given the correct order, a tuna sandwich, there was barely any tuna on it ! Twice this happened, very disappointing & no offer for free ANYTHING as a nice gesture for bad mistakes! You charge enough for the sandwich, put something in it!
I ordered online for delivery and received the wrong order. The correct ticket was on the bag. I ordered the french onion soup and a southwestern type soup was in the bag. I went ahead and ate is because i only get 30 minutes for lunch at my job. My order # is [protected]
on 5/16/18 I had a Greek salad that made me very sick, I tried to call them so many times, on different days and different times to let them know, no one answers the phone.
I went to a bakery which seems to be a newer one with all new employees. I ordered a veggie sandwich without meat when I got home it had bacon and Turkey they were supposed to replace the meat with a avocado.. Needless to say I'm a vegetarian and couldn't really eat the sandwich already home. I've never had problems before.
Derek is extremely rude and when it's busy at lunch or dinner he gets very short tempered and takes it out on customers. He is in that job then he need to be nicer! Or GET A NEW JOB DEREK!
I purchased Asian sesame chicken salad tonight. They told me they were "out of lettuce" and only had arugula left. Even thought this was strange considering it was still early evening. I said this was okay, and once I got home we discovered that both salads were half full and did not have the usual amount of salad greens.
I was at the greenville tx location and witnessed a employee brandy willaby purchase drugs you need to re test your employees there with surprise drug screen also she was very rude you guys need to investigate this matter immediately
I have been to Panera a few times and noticed at the end of the receipt they automatically charge you gratuity! It should be our option to leave gratuity not the company! We all deserve refunds!
I have had my food stolen at the rapid pickup station on 2/8/18 and Panera manager had no concern when I told him. The last 2 salads I have ordered there have the lettuce core in them and now today 2/13/18 they have forgot my baguette yet again. this is the Aberdeen NC location.
When walking in to eat at Panera this woman Anna stormed up up to me calling me a nasty Mexican [censored] and told me that no one wanted me there and that if I ordered food she would make sure to [censored] in my food. I am about to get a lawyer if she isn't fired.
Hello I go to the Panera Bread in Westwood in California. I constantly go to this location since it is close to my house. I have noticed that one of the managers is very rude to the workers. I just wanted to bring this to peoples attention that someone so rude should not be working as a manager. I saw that her name is Nancy by her name tag.
Cashier needs better training. Does not know menu and pricing. Long line and second cashier just standing around doing nothing. No wonder the store is so empty with no customers.
I purchased petite cookies on December 31, 2017. A gentleman from the company contacted me abut my complaint. I was told he would be sending me a voucher/credit to purchase them again.
I never received voucher/coupon.
On 1/25/18 my daughter purchased a double fudge brownie at your site in Auburn, NY. It was a treat for me for watching her son. We are normally very happy with the food we get at Panera but this brownie is awful. It's an overcooked corner piece flipped upside down with a little chocolate icing on it. It is dry and the edge and bottom are hard.
Ordered a to go salad from panera. Found glass in mouth. Unaaceptable.
While I was visiting the panera bread in Gambrills MD one of the employees was making racist comments to one of the other employees about a customer. Names eli and Kayla. I will never return to ANY panera after this and neither will my friends and family. I will not be in an unwelcoming environment.
I went to Panera in Richmond Hill asked for bagel, creamchesse & tomatoes. They refused to put cream cheese & tomatoes on my bagel & give them to me on the side. Customer service is horrible!
Also last weekend I was there they messed up my order completely. The staff were busy talking !
My salad wasn't fresh at all. It taste withered and old. The onion soup had cheese in it which I didn't order. I have never had any problem as long as I've ate at several restaurants.
This is more of a suggestion rather than complaint. I think the food is great at Panera. Just wondering why when I get a piece of bread with my salad as takeout, it is not wrapped. It is just loose in the bag along with receipt which was printed and handled. I would rather that it was wrapped in plastic or foil or even in small bag.
Salads "to-go" are so bad. Lettuce is old, wilted, spoiled :( My lunch went to trash. No more buying from Panera Bread. And apple was bad, old, almost rotten. To trash! Thanks Panera Bread for not having my lunch at work today :(
I ordered several items today at the etobicoke location. when we finally got our to go order back to the office it was missing a bagel with cream cheese, the chips from one combo and the bun from the other. the greek salad with quinoa also had no quinoa in it. my order number is 120237.
I purchased 2 containers of broccoli cheddar soup at our local Wal Mart store this Monday Jan. 7, 2018. After it was heated and put in a bowl, I found what appears to be a long black hair. Needless to say it ruined my appetite and my lunch.
On the morning of November 30 at Cafe # 639 in Wilmette, Illinois, I had check # 414007. The blood orange juice in the lemonade had started to go rancid and ruined the drink. Employees should test drinks for palatability before loading them for service.
When I ordered at the register I told the lady creamy tomato soup for my you pick 2 and instead she put baked potato soup. Which I didn't even say baked. And the soup looked right and she never asked me to repeat myself so when I got home and opened it I was very disappointed in the fact that they got my order wrong.
A photo is shared on the internet of the employees playing with the food and using no gloves, it's unsanitary! And unprofessiona.l
I went to Panera Bread to get my apple fuji salad, only to find that when I got home, it had no apples on it! This is not the first time something like this has happened when ordering food from Panera, as this has happened before. It makes me very upset and dissapointed that one of my favorite restaurant can't even make my food right.
Now that the new chip reader is installed at my local Panera, I am being asked to tip. This seems rude and inappropriate. I order and take the muffin with me. The services I am being offered are not tippable services. This is an intimidation of your customers to press "no tip" while the cashier watches.
