Outback Steakhouse review: Unacceptable Service and Food

My companion and I visited Outback Restaurant, Store #1612 at 10901 University Avenue in Clive IA 50325 (phone 515.221.3309) on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. Our ticket was time-stamped at 3:37pm, and our server was identified as Tyler L. Our meal cost was $82.87. My coffee arrived lukewarm and overly strong, the bread was lukewarm and stale. I ordered filet and lobster, my lobster was overdone. My companion ordered sirloin and Alice Springs chicken. His sirloin arrived without his chicken. The server totally forgot it and didn't even realize it; he had to be informed of its omission. My companion's side order of macaroni and cheese was half macaroni and cheese and half just macaroni. Our water glasses were never refilled and my coffee was never refilled. We were never even offered dessert. Our server literally yawned twice at our table in front of us. We were the only customers that appeared to be in the restaurant, yet we were attended to as though we were an after-thought, and was very disrespectful. The food was disappointing, and the service was worse. We have been patrons of several Outbacks in the past, in Florida as well as Iowa, and had usually enjoyed our meals. Yet this visit was the worst of them all, and the most disappointing, especially because it was my companion's birthday and we were there based on our previous pleasant experiences. It was truly a very disappointing and upsetting visit to a once-favorite establishment.
