Navy Federal Credit Union [NFCU]
We started a mortgage refi in November 2020 and it is now June 2021 and the process has not finished. Since November 2020, we have been assigned to 3 different processors, have had our credit ran 2 times and the closing dates have come and gone. My husband and I both have excellent credit, money in the bank, and have streams of income. The first two processors were slow to return our calls and respond to our emails. The last and current processor is trying but said that the process is out of her hands because the Title company has our paperwork. The Title company has had our paperwork since February! Our processor said that she called them and told them to expedite our paperwork because, she agreed, the process has been too long! That is an understatement! I just checked our mortgage status a few minutes ago and noticed that there were documents that needed to be signed. These documents were never emailed to us and the processor never alerted us that they needed to be signed. As a result, the documents have expired. I have had it. If I had not already forked over $800 for the appraisal, I would have just terminated this whole process and gone with another lending institution. Up until this fiasco, I had had nothing but good things to say about Navy Federal Credit Union!
Desired outcome: I want to finally close on this mortgage refinancing and real answers as to why this process took so long. Everyone else who know who had refinanced are done. They said that the whole process took less than 3 months!
