I scheduled an eye exam because the issues with my vision have been getting worse. When I arrived, I was told I couldn’t be seen because I was supposed to arrive ten minutes early. I asked why I wasn’t informed of this beforehand, and the receptionist said they had called me yesterday and left a voicemail.
My concern is this: if you were unable to reach me by phone, why wasn’t a text or email sent? And if the call the day before didn’t go through, why wasn’t I contacted again on the day of the appointment?
I take responsibility for not noticing the missed call, but I am extremely disappointed by how this situation was handled. I rearranged my schedule to be seen as soon as possible because my vision concerns have been worsening, only to arrive and be turned away over a requirement that had not been clearly communicated to me. This experience felt inconsiderate and unprofessional.
Recommendation: Read reviews before scheduling an appointment
