Good Day,

I have made use of Mweb’s ‘Moving Home’ option to move my Fibre from Roodepoort to Midrand. (What a joke!).

I was on Openserve but only Metro Fibre is available, so I asked them to switch me over to Metro Fibre.

After a long battle and many phone calls, I decided to cancel the order as I received a message stated that the order has been completed but the technician from Metro Fibre only came and checked what is already installed but the previous occupant of the home.

No work was done, and the power plugs was moved by the owner of the house so there is no power point to plug in the ONTP (I think). I asked it to be moved to the room next door which was refused. If I applied for a new installation, they would have installed it where I wanted it in the first place without no extra costs. Below is a new query I logged six days ago to request the order to be cancelled and to explain to me what is going on. Now I am stuck and can’t even apply for a new installation from another ISP as there is one showing registered under my name. I am working from this property and are losing money every day.

Please give me feedback on this issue. My original query to move - Ticket MWB25929855 was flagged as completed but up to today I couldn’t connect or use any functionality of the product. This was supposed to be completed by latest 2024-01-02. Somebody from Metro Fibre was at the premises to have a look what is here, and we requested that the one point be moved to another room. They said I will have to pay for it, and I don't know why so I told them I was not going to pay. Mweb then notified me the job was done which it wasn't and after a long squabble I cancelled the request and told I was not going to pay anything as I had not had any benefit or use of the product yet. Now I am getting a statement say I owe Mweb R1786.61 which I am not going to pay unless this issue is sorted by end of day. If not, I will enquiry from another provider, please let me know as a matter of urgency. [protected]

Desired outcome: I would like the issue to be resolved immediately, either they complete the installation without any extra cost to me or cancel it immediately so that I can apply with another ISP.
