Two toilets not working, the upstairs is just an issue with the handle mechanism not allowing it to shut off properly. Only fix suggested by this tech is replacing the entire toilet. Was authorized to do work to repair and needlessly replaced components not causing any issue and left original problem unresolved and insists on replacing entire toilet for $1600 plus.
Second toilet has some sort of serious clog involving additional line. 1600 again suggested without actually having done anything to diagnose issue. Have paid $460 for utterly unnecessary”repairs and still have no working toilet. Only saving grace. was my sons having such distrust in technician they advised me not to let him do anything else likely saving me a couple of thousand dollars in fictitious needed repairs or parts.
Claimed loss: 200Half the paid amount for work done that was not required and did nothing to solve issue.
Desired outcome: Protect consumers from predatory practices. Company relying on lack of knowledge in customers to bill for unnecessary parts and labour.
