I have been a MetroPCS customer almost 20 years, when I started with them, they were a young company eager to please. As they grew, they got worse like a spoiled child. Customer service started going downhill, variety of phones was crappy and the whole experience with them left you asking, "why am I putting myself through this" Recently I bought a Motorola phone from Metro in 2022, I have had the battery replaced twice (even though I had insurance on the phone). Last week the battery exploded, and my phone broke into 3 pieces. I went to the MetroPCS store here in Jacksonville Florida where I met the nicest clerk who attempted to bust her tail to get my issue resolved but the person on the customer service end informed us that my insurance had been cancel when MetroPCS did an upgrade, (thanks for letting me know) and I was stuck with a broken phone. I was not surprised because it took me 2 years to get them to stop charging me for a phone that had been deactivated preciously.
Recommendation: Do not purchase or activate your device over the phone, always go into the store. If the store does not have the phone, you want you can always purchase the phone elsewhere and pay for the activation. Best practice is to shop around cheapest is not always the best
