On 10/8/25 my internet went out. I’ve only had it for a a little over 3 months and I figured I could go to the store in williamston s. c where I got it and swap it out and no problem. WRONG the lady up there said it was the power cord but she didn’t have one up there to check the box to see if it was. (I’m a licensed electrician by the state of s.c. She suggested I get one from Amazon or Walmart on line. It is a special cord 15 volt/2.5 amp input she kept saying 60 watt block but ohms law says 15 times 2.5 =30 watts anyway then I called customer service 1st time he told me to take $;45 to the store and he would send me a new box w/cord so I go back to the store (I pay cash in the store so $50 because no debit card but if I owe I pay, she tells me don’t bother with customer support and I called customer service again this time I spoke with a lady told her what was said she said yes take $45 to the store so back again. Lady at the store said I can’t and she went as far as to call another store in Anderson s.c. On face time to tell me about the cord deal. SO she ran it thru as me buying a new box for $54 I could get my internet back so that’s what I did. This took most of my day and $54 to get back what I had before. I used to tell everyone that metro was great and I know over 50 people has switched to metro. I sure hope they don’t have any problems. On a scale of 1to 10 I give it a big ol’ zero 0 happy? NO recommend a friend? I can’t. They are other internet providers out there. My phone and internet cost me $100/ month but this month it cost me $154. I hope this don’t happen often but it sure happened to me.
