Meijer review: overall store layout

I stopped by the location in Marion, IN today while traveling on business. I'm a regular Meijer customer and was looking for one item. Unfortunately I left the store without a purchase. I'm sure someone would have helped me but this store has the worst layout of any I've been to. I've been to numerous Meijer locations and although they sometimes vary in layout none I've seen are like this. Not only was it the worst Meijer experience I've had (voluntarily left empty handed) but it's literally the worst store layout I've ever been in (other brands considered).

I'm sure the mix of grocery and home items was designed to entice the shopper to see the whole store and buy more than they may have planned but it's extremely challenging to find specific items and things are not grouped as you'd hope for ease of shopping.

Although I will continue to shop at Meijer I can honestly say I'll never shop at any location with this layout. As I did today I went to another store.
