meijers pharmacy
Tonight i made the mistake of dropping off my prescription to the meijer pharmacy on Harvey st. When i dropped my script off the tech told me it wouldn't be any longer than 15 min. so after 20 mins had passed i waited in like for another 10 mins to finally be called up by a tech named Amy. after giving my info to look up my script she told me it wasn't really. My reaponse was how much longer she thought iit would take since it was 8:45 and they close at 9. The tech Amy raised her voice and said " obviously if you can't tell we are really busy obviously we have other costumers than you. i have never in my life been talked to like that! she even rolled her eyes and walked away IN THE MIDDLE OF MY TRANSACTION! i will never ever return to this pharmacy! I waited another 25 min to talk to the manager who couldn't even give me a number to talk to someone about this! i want to be contacted to know that there is something being done about this!
price reduction misleading
I am referring to Meijer's price mark down on fresh meat items. Occasionally, close to expiration date meat packages would be marked down. The markdown label would say original price, mark down 20% & new price $xx.x. The misleading part is: on the same label, meijer would say the new price per lb is $x.xx/lb. This newly claimed price per pound is drastically lower than actual. I mention this to the Meijer meat department manager in a Michigan Meijer store, his reply is to ignore that price quotation.i brought to his attention that most consumers make their purchase on unit price, thus the label is seriously misleading.
cashier
Meijer in Roseville, MI on Little Mack.
As per usual, at 10PM, there was ONE regular register open. After we stood in this line for 10 minutes, an employee, Britney, said she was opening another register, but we had no idea where or which lane, because she waved her hand above her head and we didn't know which lane to go to. Instead of answering us, she continued talking and laughing with the lady at the one register that was open.
Another customer, and then us, were walking in circles before she opened up a register. Ok, we get up there after next customer, we had $222 in groceries.
The ENTIRE time this Britney is talking, blah, blah, blah, to the next cashier, who is behind us. Was she talking to us, nope just running her mouth at the next lady at the register over.
When it was time to pay, we said we had an EBT Card and didn't know the balance, could she tell us? Nope, she just continued to talk and talk. We stood there, waiting for an answer. In the middle of all her super important shouting over to the next employee, she said "Just run it!" We did, we said "Balance says $32, we want to use that amount." At this, she ignored us, now a line was forming behind us, she is doing nothing but running her mouth continually to other employee. Screen resets, she tells us to run it again, she is still talking, screen resets. Another employee comes up behind her, instead of opening a register to ring people up, she starts talking to Britney, and she answers, just non-stop talking about personal crap. I was waiting for her to pull out her cell and start making phone calls!
I ran thru the Bridge Card no less than 6 times. I put my PIN in each time, while she stood there, not doing her job, talking over our heads, about personal crap. I said "It doesn't appear to be working, screen keeps resetting", she said "I have to input the amount you want to use". Now at this point I had run it 6 times and told her at least 3 times to use the $32 on the card. I'd had enough, if she wasn't shouting at the next employee, she'd have heard me.
I told my boyfriend to run it, same thing. She is talking still, screen resets, he runs Bridge Card again, she is talking, screen resets, he had to run BC 4 times minimum to enter our $32 on the Bridge Card.
This is min. 10 times.
Britney, just keeps up her personal talking to other employees. It is not acceptable, it is terrible service.
I only had to run my CC once, because that is automated and doesn't rely on someone who clearly doesn't want to bother doing their job.
But this part IS THE BEST. When it finally occurred to this genius cashier that our BC balance was $32, she said to us "You ain't got no kids?", and started laughing, we were like "What did you say?", because we thought we hadn't heard her correctly. She repeated this RUDE, none of her business question and was laughing even more. We said that we didn't and she started roaring with laughter and stated she figured we didn't because our BC balance was $32!
What in the actual hell?
It is none of their employees' business if we have kids, to make judgment calls, to ask us unrelated personal questions like that, then cackle with laughter so everyone around can hear! How do you know if my child didn't maybe die in an accident or if we can't have kids?
But obviously uneducated, rude, lazy employees such as Britney at the Meijer Roseville location feel the need to ask this, not bothering to input simple BC data, then laugh really loud to get everyone's attention on her. Totally outrageous.
They need to stop hiring [censored] who have no training in what is appropriate and LEGAL to say or ask at a job. Unacceptable. And yes, we have both had min. wage and above jobs, I'd never have treated customers like this or ask this type of crap.
pharmacy
I drop 2 prescription off and pay and drive all the way home to find they only put 1 script in my bag. Then I proceeded to call and the girl who answered was talking to another customer when she answered the phone and told me to hold on. Then she tells me it's basically my fault that I didn't check the bag for both of my prescription. I guess when I turn both prescriptions in I assume they would give me both. People were complaining the whole time while waiting about customer service. I will not return.
pharmacy services
I cannot tell you how many issues I have had with this pharmacy. And these issues are serious! This isn't like being out of bread this is MEDICATION!
Essentially multiple times and with multiple medications I have been told are "out of stock" - simple meds like valcyclovir or an antibiotic or a steroid cream for my son who has an acute severe skin condition.
First of all - i have NEVER been contacted by the pharmacy to let me know they are out of something. I just go in expecting to pick it up because I'm on automatic refills only to be notified that it won't be in until such and such time. I am signed up for text alerts and when my son's dr has called in a medication and i am waiting and waiting to get my text that it is ready and I never get that text... then I call and am told "Oh, we don't have it but we ordered it" - which is annoying enough but THEN i go to pick it up after it supposedly came in only to be told the "warehouse was out of stock" so even though the order was put in there was no verification that the medicine being ordered was available. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! If I could shout to the roof tops DO NOT USE THE MEIJER PHARMACY BECAUSE THEY SUCK AT COMMUNICATION AND WILL TELL YOU SOMETHING IS COMING AND IT ISNT believe me I would. This has happened no less than 4 times and one time is too many. It is enraging when after waiting two days to get a script and going to get it and its not in and I could have just transferred it to a decent pharmacy like CVS or Walgreens where they have checks and balances and are professional enough to know to communicate supply issues with their clients!
customer service self checkout
Went grocery shopping on 09 /08/ 17 at around 12:45 midnight all of the cashier lines were closed only the self-checkout was open on that night the operator of the self check out number 557, I had a problem with running my bridgecard through the computer she told me to wait and hold on and this went back and forth till after 2 p.m. quite a long time to wait I don't understand why she would not come over to the computer where I was and figure out what was going on because it kept saying assistance needed and all she did was walk away to the other smaller computer she kept telling me that it was freezing but I think that if it's going to take 2 hours I mean come on is there a way that you can check to see I just felt that I had wasted my time I did not care for her attitude as other workers were walking around and looking at me like why have been there for so long...
Maybe a nice 50 dollar gift card for all that mess and ill tell you that as I was ready to leave the woman that was in charged of the mobile buggies looked at me and told me hey you're not supposed to take that buggy outside and I looked at her and told her I have problems with my joints and walking at times she told me still I'm not supposed to take the mobile cart out this is ridiculous and if this is the truth what she told me I will never shop here again and I only live across the street this is not the first time this incident has happened a younger guy that works there at the same time had told me the same thing if a person has a disabilities they should follow them out to the vehicle and get the mobile cart which she did but she complained about it throwing her hands in the air to a friend of hers that works there how embarrassing that was
Misleading items on sale
I was at Meijer in McHenry Illinois, I was shopping the five for $5 off sale. One of the items I wanted was cereal. In the center aisle was a stand alone display with only cereal and the 5 for 5 signs. I grabbed the Apple Jacks and continued to shop. After checking out I looked at my receipt none of my 5 for 5's rang up correctly. I walked to the car unloaded the groceries and went back in with my receipt to customer service. The woman working (who I did not get her name) told me it was the wrong cereal, I told her that they were on the center aisle sales display she told me again nope it's the wrong cereal. I said I don't understand there's a million boxes over there she said okay I'll walk over there and look. I followed her and she showed me that the very bottom row of Applejack's were 3.99 and not a $1.79 they weren't part of the sale . I said that is extremely misleading and why would anyone think that the bottom row was 3.99 and not on sale when every other box was on sale. She told me they do that all the time I said that is disgusting to take advantage of people that way .she said well you can return the Apple Jacks I kept saying how can you do this to people she finally said I'll just give it to you fine. walk to the counter she had a manager use her key to give me my money back and I said something to the manager and she said oh they do that all the time like it was no big deal. I have always shopped at Meijer this experience made me so angry I don't even know if I ever want to shop there again I cannot believe your company would mislead people in this way I've called everyone I know to let them know to double-check when they shop at Meijer because they throw in regular priced items on the sales skid. mind you there was nothing else on there but cereal with the sale signs . I should have asked for the store manager I'm extremely disappointed with the customer service making me feel like I should know better to read every line. (not like it was in the Isle of cereal )why would they even put it there if it's not on sale.
Meijer along with Aldi are the 2 grocery chains that have most misleading or emtrapping tactics. When there is more than one variety of the sale item on shelf, rule of thumb is: not every variety is on sale, consumers have to read every word discription on sale flyers with item label. They used to include the bar code number which i checked for sure, but not any more. I advise evry consumer read carefully before adding item to ur cart AND check receipt before leaving tne store.
children employees
They never do there work and I'm always stuck finishing there work on the other side because they end there shift at least one hour before me and only are told to fill the garage so they just use the wall and leave the other carts in the lot . all the money I could be getting for my hard work is being wasted on these kids who chose to do a job they can't even handle.
Coupon wasn't taken at self checkout.
I was at the Meijer self check out earlier today and I was supposed to get $10 worth of produce and get a dollar off on my coupon. Before I could go any further, the screen wanted me to insert the coupon so I did but it did not take my coupon off. Normally it tells the person if the coupon is invalid, but now I don't have the coupon and it didn't get taken off my bill. I really love shopping at meijer above any other local grocery store, and I love the service they provide. I wanted to inform you of this glitch in the system to avoid future hassel. Thank you.
lack of cashiers
Just left the Petoskey, MI Meijer store. Waited in a checkout line longer than it took to get my groceries. Lines were backed up into the clothing area with several registers unmanned. No worries though, I saw 2 managers on the phone TALKING about the problem and talking to a lady that they knew. Both should have opened a register and helped out. Lots of angry people. By the time I finally reached the cashier, they finally found someone to open a register and then instead of taking people who had been waiting (15+ mins), they grabbed people who had just come to the front of the store. What a slap in the face to all of us. Evidently I didn't know the right people. Since your managers seem unable to resolve the issue, I'll make it easy. Friday mornings in Northern Michigan in the summer especially are VERY busy. All registers should be opened and the store should be fully staffed on those days. I won't be rushing back to that store and I don't want anything from you other than a resolution to the problem. Talk to those managers and let them know how it looks to the customers. End of discussion.
door greeter
I frequent the Meijer store in Terre Haute Indiana quite often and a man by the name of Nathan Roe frequently makes sexual remarks to me, even though I have expressed discomfort with it. I will never visit that store again, unless he is gone from there. He is not cute or humorous in any way, he is highly unsettling and unsuitable for the job. I have witnessed him adjusting his private area on a couple occasions, even when he was working for the grocery part of the store. What kind of person does that? Not one you should want working for your company! Thank you for your time.
management staff and team members are very racist
I visited the Meijer's on Pennsylvania and Miller in Lansing, MI. One of the products that I was purchasing did not have a bar code on it. I simply asked the cashier to see how much the juice cost. She inquired about the juice but since I was using coins to pay for my groceries at the U-scan, she laughed and mocked me and said that I had to go to the customer service desk. Upon requesting a Manager, she replied "I ain't getting a Manager down here." Once Todd and Kevin (the managers) and another racist Manager was contacted by another employee, the management staff immediately began laughing and pocking fun at the situation. I assumed that a business would hold their employees and more importantly management staff to a higher level of respect for their customers. And Todd and Kevin specifically informed me that my business was not welcome their and would not allow me to pay for my groceries. Since this degrading experience because of the color of my skin, I refuse to shop at any Meijers and I am going to urge other African Americans to do the same.
fish department
You should be ashamed to sell fish. The tanks are all filthy and multiple fish have ick. Some of the fish shouldnt even be kept together due to their aggressive nature towards other breeds of fish. There are multiple dead floating fish in tanks and fish that are injured. Fish are animals to and deserve to be kept in proper enviornments and not in filthy tanks where they sit at the bottom dying or float dead at the top.
purple cow mint chocolate chip ice cream
About a month ago I purchased the Purple Cow Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream and last night while my 9 year old son was finishing the last of it he discovered 2 small metal springs in the ice cream. Now as a mother of a 9 year old and 4 year old who love ice cream I was in disbelief and was very thankful it was my 9 year old who discovered this and not my 4 year old who would of prolly just swallowed it. Also when I tried to contact your customer service number last night I spoke with a gentleman who I am almost positive hung up on me. This is very unacceptable and I feel that this should be looked into and I should be compensated.
cashing out computer problems
Checking out on August 23rd at the store on Henry St Norton Shores. Spent 160 dollars and using my chip card the machine told me to pull my card and it locked up. Everything was bagged. They had three different people trying to free up the machine. I was told there was a recent upgrade done and they were experiencing problems.
They sent me to another register and had to rescan the entire cart again.
I told them this happened once before a year ago as well. In that case they sent me to the Customer Service area and had to stand in line waiting to get my entire grocery cart rescanned.
This happening twice to me is unacceptable. The ladies could tell I was upset and did everything they could to speed up the process.
I felt that after two times now I needed to file a complaint.
Thank you for your time.
produce and stocking
To Whom It May Concern,
I am a frequent customer at the Meijer in Royal Oak, Michigan. Before the renovations, I have to admit, the place was terrible. Then during and right after the renovations things seemed to be looking up. I noticed new faces, which I assume were from other places making sure everything was running smoothly. However, slowly it has gone down hill back to the way it was before the renovations. It is dirty, it is a mess, the produce is always old and the produce is always scarce. Along with these issues, it seems no matter what day I go, the things I need aren't stocked or available. I like to go to Meijer because it is a one stop shop, and I use my Mperks for diapers. Unfortunately for the past month, I have been unable to get his Pampers Swaddlers in a size 6 because they are always out of them. I can't even count how many times I have to run somewhere else because Meijer does not have them stocked. Not only that but they only have the small boxes when they do. In all honesty I would say four out of five times I have to go to another store a different day to finish my shopping list because Meijer doesn't have what I need stocked. You are probably wondering why I keep going back with all of these issues. The answer is Mperks. I save a lot of money with it. I recently complained to my friends and family about it and most of them say, "that Meijer is the worst!" I am not writing to complain for no reason, I am writing to make you aware that soon after the renovation, the Royal Oak Meijer has reverted back to its old ways. I feel the people who were there during the renovations would not be happy with this. All that money was spent to turn the place around and for a while it was, but not anymore. I attached a few pictures from my shopping trip last week. I am going to apologize in advance for the captions because I was sending them via snapchat to my sister. These pictures aren't just a one time thing. This happens more times than not. The picture with the paper towel on the floor is because I watch an employee walk right by it. Myself and another customer picked them up.

produce
I went I meijer groceries on alpine road. I shope there regularly for my groceries and everyday household needs. We spent around 354.00 that day. A lot was meats and produce. I got home around 8pm. I ha plans on cooking a burger, corn and potatoe sald. I was getting ready to shuck my corn and there was maggots.( little worm creature) inside of the corn. All my prduce was mixed together so I decided to throw it all out. It's obvious that the corn grows out side, however I thought these were inspected a little better before they were put on the floor.

pet betta fish
I'm pretty sure this is unacceptable. Top shelf has 1/3 water in it. Betta fish water must be changed at least every other day with a full bin of water. All of them are swimming in their own poop. Yeah this isn't a great way to sell animals. Meijer should not sell pets unless they take care of them. Nothing more to say. A picture is worth a thousand words.
customer service desk incorrect charges
I just wrote a lengthy complaint and tried to send it without doing that survey which I should not be required to do since my complaint is about this Meijer store in grand Haven. Now I have to re-do, so here is the shorter version. The customer service women, for the most part, are rude and this morning the lady went beyond the pale and even yelled at me as I stood quietly showing her my slip with far too many errors which included: charges for two sheet sets, only bought one, incorrect price on picture frame, price was doubled on my sales slip, and the lady was beyond rude, yelling at me as I tried to show her the problems, while a gentleman stood quietly behind me. I finally asked the lady to stop yelling, and said this in a quiet way while she went on to say she was having a bad day and I told her that I was sorry and that I had "just" buried my mother and that she ought to calm down. When she called over a data manager, that lady needed a smile pasted on her face. They have lost a customer except for a few items that go on sale. No joy in that store as I once shared with three Meijer men from corporate who were checking out Walmart and asked me, six months or so, ago, why I shopped at Walmart and I told them that the biggest reason was the rudeness of many of their associates and especially the women at the Customer Service Desk. Today was the last straw
food
I purchased meijer brand kettle cooked potato chips after eating some of the chips I found a quite large chunk of something in the chip bag, it appears to be maybe a chunk of not good potato? Needless to say it was not very appropriate to see this in the chips. I feel I should receive some type of compensation for this. I've provided a photo of the item found in chips, the chip bag and the receipt of purchase.
Thank you
