My Mcafee account was auto renewed

in April 2022 and my bank account was debited by £89.99. I was not expecting this, but accepted it must have been in T&C's.

When trying to access my account on Android it says I do not have account and am on 148 day trial which has now

elapsed and Mcafee are requesting I open account for around half the cost that I have already paid.

It is impossible to contact their customer services to get any answers.

I want a refund of the auto renewal payment and also wish to Cancel the auto renewal for future.

Case number 1-[protected]. McAfee has refused for over 2.5 months to refund $118.10 the took via auto renewal and I cancelled service and made a timely refund request. I have been given at least six fake refund numbers and five fake emails saying it was being processed within 4 to 6 hours. Aeschylus time I call, they lie through their teeth. I haven been told a manager would contact me at least 23 times, yet received no calls.

I have unsubscribed from McAfee months ago and they are still sending emails daily! It might be phishing and or spam or worse! I have blocked on my gmail and reported as phishing and still get emails. I tried unsubscribe but apparently this company uses multiple other companies to bombard our mail accounts!

McAfee has been auto renewing my subscription for years now with no way for me to stop the charge! The price increases each year and now it has gone up to $137.14. Each year McAfee makes it harder and harder to use my computer with their firewalls. I do not want this service but they will not answer the phone when called and I have no account with them. They obviously have my email address but I have no password or account number because I have never subscribed for this service!

My account had auto renewal turned off but they were steady trying to charge my card which I keep locked thank God. Had to chat in and then the agent was rude Robert C. and ended the chat abruptly. My experience was terrible I'm definitely going to look into other software besides this one going forward. This happened yesterday 8/13/2022 via Chat on their website.

I told them I don’t want their product anymore they kept sending me emails telling me virus found virus found and I’m really tired of them. I told them I don’t want this product anymore because I now have Norton and I told them I want them out of my computer system I told him do not auto renew. This morning on the 8th of August 2022 They renewed and told me thank you for being a continued customer. I want my damn money back this is going to go viral if I don’t get it back right now I’m not joking

I was shocked and extremely surprised to find out that McAfee Ireland and for some reason or other, suddenly decided to renew my subscription at a cost of £99.99. I hadn't requested this, and hadn't had McAfee installed nor used since 2016.

I am a disabled pensioner and a bill of almost £100 means I will now have to decide on cutting back on food or electricity. Please reimburse me the £99.99 a.s.a.p.

I called McAfee in January 2022 asking them to cancel my subscription. They did not and in June I rec'd another charge on my card. I was unsure why they hadn't cancelled and why there was another charge only after 6 months. I finally realized they have been charging me for three subscriptions over the past 5 years for which I approved only one. (One is in fact foreign - from UK - and McAfee has informed me that they don't see these charges from their end.) I have called on three separate occasions during July 2022, each time I am promised that a supervisor will call back and no one ever has.

i did not authorize this renewal . the email came from [protected]@jpeil.com. he has already sent the renewal through my account but it is stilll pending. the date is today 7/24/2022. i have been getting this email for a couple of weeks but this is the first time yall have pushed the renewal through. i have a lot of Mcafee programs and love this company but again i can not afford this please help me out. this information is true and accurate just waiting to here from you. thank you

Called Customer Support on July 20,2022 regarding cancellation and refund for 2 subscriptions. The amounts were $129.99 paid on June 30, 2022 and $54.99 paid on July 16, 2022. After about 10 minutes on hold, someone came on the line, asked a bunch of useless questions, took my phone number to callback in case the call gets disconnected. After a few minutes, hang up on me! And never called back.

I called again and this time spoke to someone else. This time also it took like 10 minutes for someone to connect. Again, told the entire case and requested refunds. Guess what, this guy also disconnected after a few minutes!

Soon after, received 2 emails. One titled "Service Request # 1-[protected] has been resolved" but nowhere it would say if the refund has been made. The second email with a similar title "Service Request # 1-[protected] has been resolved".

Today, July 22, 2022 called again or rather tried to call twice - each time waited good 15 minutes for someone to connect - but no one picked up.

This company's website does not provide any email address we can send emails to. All their own emails come from unmonitored emails and you can't respond to them!

I turned OFF my auto renewal and now they won't let me remove my credit card from my account.

Mcafee is a SCAM - BIG TIME!

Beware of such scammers.

McAfee withdrew 129.99 from my bank account just prior to May 31, 2022. This was in reference to an unexpected auto renewal for an anti-virus product.

On May 31, 2022 I called the customer service #[protected] explaining the situation. I spoke to the agent who told me he would see to it my refund was taken care of and he provided me with a case code of 1-[protected].

On June 2, 2022 I called back and spoke with an agent identified as "Neal". He told me he would look into the matter. He gave me a case code of CS3026895046. He put me on hold and never returned to the phone.

On June 6, 2022, I recontacted the customer service phone and spoke with an agent named "George" who told me that he would see to it that my refund would be sent to me by mail and that it should arrive within three weeks. He provided the case code of 1-[protected].

After waiting three weeks and no check arriving, On June 29, 2022, I called the customer service line again and spoke wo an agent identified as Joe who told me that payment had been made on June 5th 2022. He then made the statement that my bank had refuse to accept the refund. He had no specific info as to where these funds were to have gone. He said he was placing the case in Escalation and provided me with a case code of 1-[protected]. He said that a supervisor would call me within three days. This never happened.

I called again on July 5, 2022. I spoke to an agent identified as Gustavo Gabrial. he told me he had spoken to his manager who would be calling me back within 24-72 hours. He gave me a case code of 1-[protected]. I did not get a call back from anyone.

I called again on July 7, 2022. I spoke with Francisco, he also said they would place this matter in escalation. Case code 1-[protected]. He would not allow me to speak with his supervisor and that the supervisor would call me back. This did not happen.

On July 11, 2022 I called again and was told the refund had been denied by the bank. I was told the check issued was CK# [protected]. . The case code was still 1-[protected].

It is now July 18, 2022 and this situation is still not resolved. I have no faith in speaking to anyone in customer service. All I get is a promise and a case code and no action.

I just want to publicly complain about the unrelenting attempts to get me to sign up for their antivirus software, including sending me a phony invoice today stating I have been charged for an order never made. See below:

I did phone [protected] but not sure it is being resolved.

They seemed to think it was my fault.

Devastating if it goes through. Just getting by right now. This will put me under.

I always thought they were a decent company by reputation.

I have been contacting McAfee in an effort to get my subscription cancelled, but I am getting nowhere.

I have received another subscription renewal notice, despite my instruction to cancel the subscription.

The customer support site seems to be stuck on Italian only as a communication option. Very strange!

The invoice number is CS3045080173, and the charge was for £99 via my credit card.

I have finally contacted my bank to put them in the picture.

The laptop that was covered by McAfee, is now no longer owned by me, and that has been the case for some time.

This is the third attempt to get a response from McAfee. ( first attempt some weeks ago; second and third attempts, today.)

The software keep changing my default search engine to yahoo, without any request to do so. I delete it from my search engine options and change the default to another search engine but every time I tun on my laptop it has changed back.

I want to virus protection, I do not want or need you to interfere with my laptop in any other way. I have followed your instructions to stop this happening multiple times.

On new year's eve, my brand-new macbook, covered by mcafee total protection, got a trojan horse on it through my daughter's computer. I took everyone's devices & shut them down. It was too late, my data was on the dark web. After spending a week on the phone with india, they problem was still not resolved, so I kept checking in and finally someone admitted that they cannot keep up with apple technology and that they would call me back, which they never did. In the middle of my new year, despite having an active subscription until 11/2022, their system forced me to purchase an additional three years of service. I contacted them on 5/21/2022 and told them that I had enough and that I wanted a full refund, but that doesn't meet their policy. Now i'm disputing all the charges and reporting them everywhere I can. They are about to get sued also. We use malwarebytes. And I have proton vpn for extra security.

Will Not Load on my computer, I do need HELP!

I purchased McAfee® Total Protection - 3 Devices over 1 year ago. It has recently come to my attention after experiencing issues with my computer that Mcafee has not been protecting my computer and instead stated for the past 384 days that the trial has expired. Only once I spoke to your customer service did they reconfigure it so that it was working. I would like to be refunded for this period as I was paying for MacAfee to protect 3 devices for me yet it protected non, I did not get the service I paid for and my computer suffered as a result.
