Maytag review: Not the dependability people

Purchase new Maytag washer which was delivered on March 5, 2025. On September 19, 2026 the locking feature failed so unable to operate. Scheduled service which occurred on 10/7/2026. Learned at that time that the 4 stabilizing bars and locking mechanism needed to be replaced. Cost of repairs exceed the price of the original purchase that occurred 18 months ago. Spoke to customer service who informed me that repairs are only covered for first 12 months and that the items requiring repair were never covered by the warranty. Maytag does not stand behind their product.
Recommendation: Maytag cannot be counted on to stand behind their product, therefore due not purchase from them.
