Maytag

Purchased is 2017. Just a few days after the 1-year warranty expired - the entire pump assembly went out. Maytag paid for the parts and I paid the labor but that made me iffy on product quality. Fast forward to 2021. The same problem has come back as verified by your ASI appliance tech. The same problem - really? $525 to fix. There does appear to be a real quality issue either with this pump assembly or this dishwasher in general. My dishwasher is registered with Maytag so yo should be able to pull the details of the previous fix if needed. Because of the recurring nature of this problem, I am asking Maytag to foot the bill for the pump parts and I will foot the labor. Otherwise, it will be better if I just replace altogether with something other than a Maytag.

The left corner of the lid began to crack slightly (underside) approximately 9 monthsago and we had to hold that corner down in order for the lid to lock. It has become worse and now the whole structure is starting to come apart. Replacement lid is over $300 with shipping and backordered. How could this happen with a top of the line washer we paid top price for 4 years ago?. How could this part have been so poorly designed and manufactured? We have not misused or abused it in any way. I've researched the internet and see that there are numerous complaints about this same problem.

We have previously had two Maytag washers that worked perfectly with no problems whatsoever (one for 5 years and the other for 10) and were sold with our house only because we moved long distance. They are perhaps still working today. That's why we confidently purchased yet another.

I grew up with Maytag washers and my mother and all my aunts swore they were the best.

If Maytag cannot supply us with a replacement part promptly free of charge this will be the last Maytag anything I will ever buy and assure you I will scream LOUDLY on every consumer internet site appropriate as well as filing complaints with government agencies.

Brand new top load washer (MVW6200KW) stopped working mid wash, full of water. Family with three children now without a washing machine for months going into the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. The short path to the end of the story is do not expect support or coverage from Maytag/Whirlpool. Their products and support are not reliable. They will keep dragging out the issue until you have no choice but to buy a different washing machine any way./

February 2021 - New washing machine installed by Home Depot

September 7, 2021 - Stopped working called support. Earliest technician date is 2 weeks later on September, 28.

September 28 - Technician claims failed control board part ordered. Told to follow up in 2 weeks if I hear nothing.

October 13 - Heard nothing, was told by Maytag/Whirlpool customer experience team their process requires 21 business days before escalating to replacement. Must call back 2 weeks later on October 29.

October 28 - Called back desperate for solution. They forwarded to "product exchange team". Told me I must give them 5 business days to process. Need to call back in one week on November 5.

November 2 - Followed up with "product exchange team" to check on the process. They said that they are still looking for part. Must call back on November 5.

November 5 - "Product exchange team" thinks they might have found a part but won't know until Monday.

Since the washer stopped working with water in it, the bottom of the washing tub is showing signs of rust. At this point repairing is not an option. It is obvious that I need to buy another washing machine.

I have a maytag dryer that quit working, had an e1 code. Come to find out your company discontinued in 2019 the ‘board' on the front of our front loader we bought some 12 yrs ago. You discontinued a part‼️ we cannot fix our dryer, in pretty good condition. I will never buy your product again and I will let everyone I can about your discontinuing parts.
My husband was in the heating and air conditioning business for over 20 yrs. And always was able to find parts for very old models, or having a versatile part exchange. I am going with a new brand, god forbid my washing machine, dishwasher, oven and refrigerator goes out. I am so angry and upset!

I purchased this refrigerator November 2, 2021. Since that time I have had three refrigerators in my home, each failing for separate reasons. I am now in the position of living out of a dorm refrigerator for over six weeks and Thanksgiving is about three weeks away. Maytag has shuttled their responsibility for warranty service onto my home warranty company and my home warranty company has been unable to find a provider. I just want a refund so I can go find a refrigerator before the holiday.

It hurts me to write this as I've been loyal Maytag customer for years, and the reason being is they used to make quality products. I bought a top-loading washer in 2019 after my previous washer (also a Maytag) finally started leaking after 30 years of use. The new washer was great until it started making a terrible squeal after about 18 months. I used their service scheduler to connect to a local authorized tech. The tech company was great and they have come out three times to address the issue. The first appointment was an assessment that led to new shocks for the basket. That did not solve the problem even after the tech utilized the Maytag support forums to try different configurations. So we escalated to the parts in the drive motor that could be swapped easier. That did not solve the problem so finally it was determined to most likely need a complete transmission replacement. Less than 3 years old and a full transmission replacement is quite unexpected, so the tech company advised that I reach out to Whirlpool and see if they could cover because I had already spent a few hundred dollars on parts and labor out of my own pocket.

I called Whirlpool twice. The first time I spoke to a very nice woman who looked up my information and placed me on hold so she could check with the technical service company who had come out. When she connected to them there was a delay in the paperwork and she couldn't get the latest information and suggested I follow up with them. I did and once they caught up on their end I called Whirlpool back and waited on the line for about 40 minutes prior to being connected to another representative. This rep basically told me there's nothing he nor "anyone else here" can do. I wasn't offered any additional assistance, he didn't follow up with the tech company who had performed the work, he didn't try to resolve my problem in any way. I told him it's disappointing that I will have to shop around beyond Maytag because if their quality has fallen so poorly (a complete breakdown in less than 3 years for a major appliance is below standard) and they no longer offer their great customer support, they are just like any other company. He did not seem to mind and told me good luck on finding another washer.

In march 2019 I purchased a Maytag bravos washer and dryer set model numbers MGDX655DW2 AND MVEX655DW1 These were some of the most expensive appliances at the store and being Maytag I was thinking I could get years with out having any issues much like my maytag washer from 1994 boy was I wrong.
The washer already had to have the lid switch replaced, the transmission replaced the strut replaced one and now needing them replaced again.
The dryer has had the sensors and the element replaced, the rollers replaced twice and now it looks like a motor to be replaced.
I found out after one year the only thing covered on the 10 year warranty is the motor so I ve been using a local repair service to mitigate the costs of the repairs but now to replace the dryer motor I need to use thier "approved" service company it they will not give me an upfront cost estimate or warrantee the motor so my affordable guy can install.
This has been the worse experience with any appliance company ever I should have bought the $299 appliances and just replace them every 3 years I'd be in the SE place financially but with working appliances. I'm looking for an attorney to possibly start a class action suit. Whirlpool/ Maytag have now pride in thier workmanship and it shows.

Bought this washing machine just over 3 years ago and left our original washer and dryer at our rental house. This Maytag seemed great but did sound pretty loud in the spin cycle as it spins so fast, always had issues with loads being unbalanced yet never had this issue with any other washers we have had. Recently it started to leak underneath from the gearbox shaft seal. The bearings have also worn out and are dry. I'm told that from the speed this washer spins it can cause the bearings to wear grease faster then others and as a result run hot causing the shaft seal to leak. How is it possible after 3 years I have a washer that will cost over $700 to repair when I bought it for $850 and they still sell them for the same price. Total disappointment especially since the last set we bought was 12 years ago and is still working fine at our rental property. Looking at this Maytag and the "commercial" quality just isn't there. The shaft is rusted, and can see pitting in the metal. The gearbox is not serviceable on this model so changing the bearings isn't possible meaning the whole gearbox has to be replaced. From my understanding the replacement would be another gearbox and new support dampers which are the same as the ones that originally came with my washer so the hope from this repair would be I would get another 3 years for the same price as a new machine. Not what I would have expected from getting a Maytag "Commercial" appliance. Is this possibly a quality issue that Maytag knows about and is covering parts on? A recall possibly? What is Maytags stand on this? Is 3 years the life expectancy of there commercial line?

My washer makes loud noise and bounce all over the place when spinning. I tried doing small loads. I have asked Lowes in Dickson, TN to look up my receipt, and they did not call me back. I call today and they put me on hold and never answer back. I know I register on line my washer, but I am getting no satisfy answer for anyone in your company. I want a new washer or to return this one with a discount on another washer. I found online numerous complaints about this washer. You should do a recall.

I purchased this washer Model #MVW6200KW in April of 2021 and i have had nothing but problems. First it was always going off balance (I was placing things exactly like it said to do). Then and still now i can't always use the other settings. Sometimes it would barely agitate. Other times like today it wouldn't spin at all. The power light and lock light would only be flashing slowing and doing nothing. Everything in the washer would still be soaking wet so i have to put it on "drain and spin". It's very noisey when changing gears at times. I have owned Maytag washers/dryers for 30 some years and i have NEVER had problems like this with a new washer. Today we were washing towels. My husband washed on normal and it did work ok. The second load i washed on the towel setting and that's when it went haywire again. No booklet on how to use this washer either only the quick start guide.

Bravos MCT Maytag Commercial Technology High Efficiency. The washing machine does not have an add water button. It will go through a complete cycle without enough water to get all the clothes wet. We have to add water with a garden hose. The rinse cycle also does not add enough water. I contacted Maytag right after we got the machine and was told it was working as designed. I wish I had remembered about the lemon law because this machine is definitely a lemon.

Washer purchase in September of 2016 and stopped spinning October 2021. Lander's Appliance came out to repair the washer but the tech could not remove the bolt stuck on the agitator. We were charged $139.95 for the service call even though the tech couldn't get the bolt off to repair the washer. He told us it was a Maytag problem. We called Maytag and were told the washer was out of warranty and they would not help us. Terrible customer support. We would like some offer of a solution as to how to remove the bolt to get the machine repaired or else it will end up in the landfill.

Purchased this very expensive Maytag Top Loading Machine that has caused more problems than necessary. The Model Number: MVWC465HW2 Do not waste your time or money buying one of these machines! Sure has all the frills, and top choice selections. However, it never fills properly: I cannot even begin to say how often I have had to literally fill it to the minimum help to wash items the way they should be. Not only that, but even if you pause the machine, and leave the lid up for a short period of time~it automatically empties all the soap, and whatever water was in there! Had this happen more times than I would like to admit~considering there just went a ton of money on laundry soap, borax, bleach, detergent, fabric softener! Goodness, like who can afford crap like that literally down the drain? If you want only hot water, and you just happen to lift the lid, cold water dispenses as soon as you shut the lid, every single time. You cannot lift the lid to see it agitate. Utilizing a two way prong I was able to actually see the machine agitate, and wow! No wonder they do not want you to be able to see it in action, it barely moves as in a barrel going forward a couple inches and back again it barely does anything to wash! Just incredible what a farse of a washing machine this really is! People need to know, an $800.00 washing machine by Maytag is not worth its weight in dollars! NO one should have to work this hard with a machine that is suppose to do the job! Where did all the Wringer Washers Go! ;)

I have had this washer for about 5 months and am very dissatisfied with it. We have owned Magtags for the last 50 plus years and have never had this much trouble. For one thing, we made the mistake of not getting one with an agitator, plus every other load I do seems to cause an inbalance and cause the machine to be stopped and readjusted to finish the spin cycle. Sometimes it takes forever to even do the Quick wash cycle. Then there's times when everything is completed and the clothes are still very very wet.

We have owned Maytag products for over thirty five years, but this washing machine has had suspension rods replaced and tub bushing replaced it still shakes and walks across floor. All work was performed by Maytag approved repairmen. This washing machine is not five years old just a piece of junk is all you can say but Maytag does not give a dam about the products they put out now much like the Demoncratic party let's scree them out of as much as we can they will keep purchasing them wrong. This on is going in the river.

Bought Maytag washer machine Model # MVEC565FW2 in December, last year. The machine is stall under warranty, however, it has generated five services call during last three months. Maytag did not provide repair service directly they have had third party who provide all services depended the zip code you enter the Maytag service inquire on their website. This washer machine constantly make noises and wet clothes. Scheduling services is play tennis back and forth. Finally, technician order the part because they do not stock the general parts in the service vehicle. While we are waiting for the part, the machine cannot be used a couple of weeks. Then, technician had the part in hand but he was sick until he returned to work. He replaced the part that is called shift actuator. If you Google it shows it is very common part to cause the wet clothes. Anyone who can do oil change he or she can replace it. The most of serious problem is the machine stop working after technician replaced the part and left job site. He never test the machine, later, we have bring all wet clothes to outside and to use public laundry. Another service was placed and same technician found that he did not install the part correctly. Now, the machine make noise again like earthquake and whole machine is moving. I called and spoke manager at the third party repair service. She said they cannot scheduling time that I am available. I am so frustrated this horrible machine. Contact Maytag Headquarter no one answer the phone call when the switchboard to transfer the phone call to the customer services department.

7 weeks ago, we identified our washing machine, under warranty, was not working. We had a technician deployed to our house and he could not assess the issue because the machine would not turn on. A motherboard and two additional parts were ordered. It took 7 weeks to get the part (and several calls checking on status). The technician came to the house to install the part and partway through the test, the motherboard smoked and broke in half. We called Maytag and was told we need to wait for the part to be shipped again. She could not offer to do anything else. I spent 1 1/2 hours on the phone today and many hours prior. I cannot understand why we would get two motherboards to attempt to fix the washer when the washer alone cost less than two motherboards. I asked for a supervisor and was told that there was noone above her pay grade we could speak with. I am frustrated beyond measure.

How can a brand new Maytag Washing machine be bad already, delivered on [protected]. Model MVW565FW2. It vibrates loudly in the middle of rinse and spin cycle . I have tested the washing with no clothes in the machine, with same results. The washing machine is level. Why would Maytag tell me if a service tech is sent and nothing is found wrong it will be a service charge of $129.00 or $89.00. There is something obviously wrong, does not Maytag honor, their 1 year warranty that comes automatically with purchase?

We purchased Maytag dryer MED5630HC2 SERIAL # MA0704806 on 05/15/21 and purchased extended warranty. The dryer was delivered several days later. On Aug 23 2021 we called service to advise we needed service as it would turn on then immediately turn back off. Even my husband said at the time it was the motor. Repairman came out Aug 25 and in a short amount time said it was 2 control panels which he ordered that day. On Sept. 14th the repairman came back out and installed the boards but said it was compound problem and the motor had to be replaced. I called Maytag a couple of weeks ago after not hearing from repairman and was told the motor was in stock and serviceman had placed order on Sept. 17th. I called back today 09/30/21 and was told they can't locate a replacement motor but they sent it up the chain to locate one and it could be 2-4 weeks. I have been without a dryer for over 35 days now and looks like it might be another 4 weeks. We switched from a Samsung to a Maytag when it was time to replace our as we thought it was a better product. So very disappointed with product and service.

In October 2019 we bought a new Maytag dishwasher from Home depot. The purchase date was 10/18/19. Model # MDBH979SAM, SERIAL # F22419969
We had problems with the dishwasher not starting within the first 6 months we owned it. read tech manuals online and reset many times. We found after door removal that the control panel was not screwed in, the screw was missing-never placed. We used duct tape to keep the panel in place. Now, after resetting multiple times, we cannot get it to reset, there is no tech available in our area (?) and costs from a local electrician surpass buying a new one after the callout and travel plus hourly charges.
Very disappointed, always had Maytags before but after this, we will never have another Maytag appliance as there is no service available for us and this one was junk when we got it. What a waste of time and money. What is worse is that we have talked up Maytag for years with family and friends, now there is sadly nothing good to say.
